The worst price gouging company of all…

The worst price gouging company of all time. Once they have you with their so called "bundle" deal....expect dramatic price increases for services. My service costs have increased over 100% over a 3 year period. The most dramatic increases have occurred during the covid/economy stress era. They know they have their customers prisoner and with few options to change services. I am generally a calm person and rarely complain about anything. I am outraged by Rogers business practices and their lack of empathy for average Canadians during these stressful times.

Run Away Fast From Rogers

My current plan expired in August, I called was told nothing could be done for me, I called back to cancel was told I could transfer to ignite tv and save some money but I had to do it on line, it did not work I called back was told I had been given incorrect information, I called again to cancel, the person did not know how to use the phone because she hung up the phone on me, called again to have tv cancelled the agent cancelled everything, she never told me my phone and internet would go down, I had to wait 1 hour to get my internet back, my phone never did, I had to walk to a Rogers store, a service call was placed, phone came back on when I got back, I cancelled the service call, the tech showed up on my door step this morning got me out of bed. I am also disabled Rogers made an appointment for a tech to pick up their tv box, they never called or showed up. Rogers does not even care if you are disabled or not. I have been a loyal customer for years, always pay my bill on time, Rogers if you are reading this you should reward loyal customers not push them away, because I will be looking for another internet and phone provider then I will never deal with Rogers again and will tell others what happened as well.

Today I had to cancel my service with…

Today I had to cancel my service with this company. The cancellation office agent tried to get me to give him a phone number in case the call drops, I said no, if the call drops I will call you back, he then said that you said you are an uber driver, I said no, I did not say that, I said I am being driven by an uber driver, keeping in mind that I already told him that I lost my job on March 18th do how can I be an Uber driver?, then I would still have a job wont' I? then he said, our system shows that your call back number is 647 000 000, last six digits masked to protect the taxi driver that was driving me. I said no, at no time did I give you that number nor have I ever give that number on my profile, I also told him that the person transferring me to him, confirmed with me that the number she saw on file was 437 000 000, again the last six digits are mask for my protection. There was no way he could have seen that number because I have never recorded any such number on my profile, so what he did, is screened my call, added the number to my profile, then tried to force me into giving a number to him, not caring that I am calling from someone else's number. Lies, I tell you, these people are frauds. Despite I told him that I do not want to give him a number, he tried to severely force me and when I said I will call back, he read out a number to me that I not only never give him but also never put on my file.

Stay away from this company

I've been with Rogers for about 2 years (cell phones). Although our initial experience was great, they have been providing very poor customer service lately. My son (a minor) and I got "share everything" plan two years ago. The agent at the time told us that we would get unlimited texts/phone to Canada and US as part of the package. On our monthly statements, I see a note to the right that I get unlimited text/phone to Canada and US. My son for the first time made some text messages to the US and we got charged over $80. After spending a lot of time on the phone, we found out that his line does not have that feature and the explanation to the right on his page does not say Canada/US just Canada. It was easy to miss that especially that my understanding at the time of purchase was that we had unlimited texts/phone to Canada and US. I could have just asked him to use my phone for his texts. When I explained our situation to a manager she completely understood and sympathized with us. She promised to refund that amount and told us the refund would be reflected within a day or two on my bill. The refund was never made and we were never contacted about this. When I did not see the refund days later (at the end of the month when I was paying my bill), I contacted Rogers again and we were told that refund was not approved! The manager never told us the refund had to be approved by anyone else, she promised us a refund that would show up on our bill within a day or two. This is one example of bad experiences we've been having with Rogers lately. Rogers communication lacks proper communication! I can't help but notice that these unclear communications have profited their pockets and have been hurtful to my family's pocket.

I got a charge on my credit card 3 months later for $384.00 - i was able to get the new owners of the house to return the equipment and got a $384.00 credit. Now i get a $25 charge for a return fee. Avoid Rogers

I've been with Rogers in one way or another for about 50 years even though I hate them [cable tv all that time, cell phone some of the time and internet the past two years]. I got enticed for high speed internet when they first hooked up high speed to compete with Bell Fibe to our building. On the anniversary, they were going to up the bill by a multiple of 5 [from about $30 to $150/month]. As a pensioner [retired] there was no way. After hours and weeks they offered me a lower speed at $45 or a 50% increase. I agreed. Instead of getting the speed I was paying for [150 mbps download], I never got even 100 usually averaging 93 or two-thirds of what the contract was for. I contacted Tech Support and got nowhere and gave up. Now, on renewal, they wanted to up me to $112 or a multiple of three times and finally offered around $63 or another 50% increase. My pension only goes up according to the CPI or around 2% so I can't afford it and will be looking around for another provider. At no time has anyone at Rogers offered me compensation for getting 2/3 the speed for which I have been paying. I hate Rogers.

The worst customer service ever

The worst customer service ever. I do not recommend this company. We move for a building that has internet and tv for free, in this meantime after 6 months Rogers sent us a charge for more than 300$ charging for tv, nobody noticed us about this charge, and the service keep continuing and now we spent 2 hours with them for nothing, I must pay for something that I never used and didn’t know that. Worst company that did not notes the customers. Really upset!!!

Can't upgrade to gigabyte internet due to technical issues. Internet is slow and cuts out repeatedly. Longer than usual wait notices on calls, but now 100% of the time. At least 45 minutes to an hour wait for support. And no promotions, so fewer, poorer services for more money. Not good.

No empathy, No compassion and No solutions.

My wife has been a Loyal customer for 11 years + . We were receiving 10+ day scam calls and fraud on cellphones…. Only solution was to change numbers. It is not an easy choice after having the number for years but we took their option and did it. Lo and Behold, 25 + fraud calls a DAY with the new number. We called back and once again only solution was to change the number again…… She got furious. I can guarantee you, although they claim they do not, Rogers definitely sells out information more than the average provider does for a price. Leech mentality. They denied any accountability and had no empathy or any compassion. She asked to cancel her line on Friday Aug 21, 2020. The representative said someone will call you the next day. NO ONE CALLED. We called them Sunday morning after we found their escalation teams phone number OURSELVES. It sad to say this manager was extremely cold hearted and did not care. My wife was venting her frustration and the manager told her to "keep it professional" !!! The same company who didnt even have the professional IQ to call her back on SAturday !! We were then escalated to a manager without even requesting it !! What on earth ??? We explained the situation and explained we have family in Beirut who were in the bombings and my wife cannot look at her phone 25x a day and worrying all the time thinking it’s a family member from Lebanon! On top of that only way to stop these calls is to put plane mode ! Depriving us of our full service! We asked for compensation for months of trouble, loyal customer service, not being able to use the services in full and changing numbers! This man, Grant, manager of the manager, only did refuse refuse refuse and say he will change the number again !! LOOOOL bunch of clowns. What about the 3rd number what will happen if we change that ? Do we change it a 4th time if it happens again ? We wanted to get a credit because if she has to deal with the trouble of her carrier not having an effective solution to her problem, we should have some monetary compensation. We asked to cancel the line for midnight, and agreed to pay the contract amount (700 $). This inefficient, sorry excuse for a managers manager , instead cancelled my wifes line 1 hour after we hung up the phone, leaving my wife without a phone for the day in a pandemic. At this point I wasn’t surprised, if the managers manager is so incompetent, his branches extend to his children don’t they now ? feeding them the same training and mentality he has. We ended up going with another company and oh look ! My wife hasn’t received one scam call in 2 days.

I have been with Rogers for 12 years and got treated like a piece of s**t. Promises never held, customer service doesn't even deserve to be called that. their" your call is important to us" statement is a BS lie, the only thing important to them is your money. they should change it to " your money is important to us" felt like i was talking to the government rather than a phone service provider..leeches. safe to say i finally cancelled with them and it feels good. so long suckers.

Billing rip off

They don't have my package anymore. No, they didn't have any promotions. Call them back, they said. Next Ignite happened. The wait time on phone calls is a nightmare. The billing dates are ripping me off. They are forcing us to Ignite but the billing dates don't match. We all need a class action suit against them.

Worst customer service ever

Worst customer service ever. Customer service reps respond as if they are reading from a Manual. Keep seeing charges showing up on my wireless bill that I want reversed due to errors. Not only do they kindly say "too bad for you". But during this pandemic they decided decided to raise the rates on my home service for the same products.

Rogers sucks

Customer service sucks.
They lie to you and when you provide the proof to back up your claims they get defensive. These big providers don't care because in Canada no matter who your internet provider is it can always be tracked back to Rogers or Bell due to a lack of competition and a closed market.😡

Never, ever

Never, ever deal with this company. They ding you a late charge ever month when you pay your bill on the due date. I deal with other companies and never have this issue. I end up having to phone ever month about this, and I'm now tired of it. Was a long time Bell customer and my plan was terrible, but never any issues with the bill. I thought I would give Rogers a try. Bad mistake. Going back to Bell, had enough.

I just wanted to cancel my plan

I just wanted to cancel my plan. They don't even have that option in their list of options online so I had to pick the closest one. First off, no one answered the phone and I stayed on hold for an hour. I proceeded to use the live chat, where they bounced me around from one representative to another, 10 times over the past hour. In this day and age, customer service shouldn't take this long and require this much trouble.

Should be 0 stars

Can't do less than 1 star unfortunately. This company is such a waste, wouldn't even tell me their prices on their online chat since they were forcing me to change my plan to get a different phone. Said our prices are just like everyone else, meanwhile they were almost $40 more per month once they disclosed their pricing with me -- cancelling and moving on.
13 years wasted being with them, no loyalty from them at all

I have been experiencing low internet…

I have been experiencing low internet speed and coverage for the past couple of months. And after going through 3 technical troubleshooting I contacted the customer service to order a new modem. The first representative had a problem placing may order and connected me to another department to resolve the issue. After waiting for ONE hour and another 20 min talking to next person, I was told the problem could not be fixed and I have to call back again in a couple of days. It was so frustrating to stay on line for such a long time and at the end nothing was fixed. I am considering cancelling this low quality service and go with Bell. Not recommending Rogers home internet to anyone.

Poorly ran company and scummy business…

Poorly ran company and scummy business practices. Chat service will make promises to you that won't be honored.

Will randomly raise the rates on your bill frequently. Even over the course of a 2 year term, expect your 'term' price to increase every few months.

Get this -
During the beginning of 2 year term, the practice was to pay for the month first, and then receive the 30 days of service.
However, at some point during the two years they changed it to receiving the 30 days of service first, and then paying for the service.

So when it came time to switch my internet service to the new ignite service, this also flipped the payment schedule back to paying first, and then receiving 30 days of service.

The issue with this being, once I made the switch to ignite and cancelled my prior service, I was forced to pay for the 30 days of my previous service, AND also pay the 30 additional days for the new service.

They effectively double dipped and forced me to pay nearly $300 dollars (two bills in one) for simply switching services and them messing with the billing practices.

Absolutely expect Rogers to pull out all the stops to screw with your bill and get at your wallet. They must hope people don't notice the changes to your bill they will make.
