Terrible service!!!

Terrible service!!!
I had 3 years contract for internet and home monitoring services for 125 CAD, I have completed my contract and they started to charge form me 280 CAD/ MONTH, I gave them properly notice to discontinue with Roger's and I took another internet service, again they still sending invoices for two more months, I called customers service then they are saying that I didn't gave any notice to them. Very bad internet service also now I m paying with another company only 55 CAD FOR UNLIMITED INTERNET AND LONG DISTANCE INCLUDING HOME PHONE ALSO. BETTER SPEED THAN ROGER'S. IN THIS PANDEMIC SITUATION I DON'T HAVE JOB BUT STILL I NEED TO PAY FOR NOTHING 590 CAD. I REQUEST THEM TO WAVE TO UNNECESSARILY CHARGE. THEY DON'T DO.

Do better Rogers

Rogers needs to do more during the pandemic and be careful they apparently do internal credit checks on you to allow you to not qualify for manual billing anymore even if you have been a customer for over 10 years and never missed a payment. They also said it’s my responsibility to read my bill and apparently look for things like that. I tried to get $25 credit, needed some help, have no job and they said no. Tried to change my banking info so I didn’t get charged another $25 and there system is down. Come on!!!!! Do better...

Stay Away!

I was charged $120 for 1.12gb of data overage. $120.00? Extortionate.

I have a business plan and 4 phones and have never missed a payment in all my years with this company, yet they phoned me during this pandemic to ask where their money was for 2 missed payments on 1 of the 4 phones. I told the multi-billion corporation not to worry, they will get their money. Customer service? Other media companies are giving free channels, long distance, and other help to clients but Rogers wants (and gets) their money! I will be changing providers, obviously.

Terrible Internet

When I do a speed test it says download speed over 100mb/s, but when I actually download anything I get around 5mb/s. Wifi also cuts out every few hours and is slow.

I called Rogers with a simple question

I called Rogers with a simple question. I bought a new Note 8 and needed a nano SIM instead of the mini in my old phone, where do I get a nano SIM?
Over the course of 1.5 hours I got transferred to 3 different departments with each department claiming that the question could be answered by the next guy. Not one of the people I talked to knew enough to tell me to just snap the outside ring off of the mini to make it a nano. Worst service I have ever gotten.

I switched my service to Telus and couldn’t be happier. Also, just recently mom had to put my father in a home for dementia because she is elderly and unable to look after him. She tried to cancel her account with Rogers but has to jump through hoops first! They don’t do not show compassion or care for their customers!

Cancel of my contract

I am a customer from the second week of my arrival in Canada. I have had a home internet cable for three years. The end of my contract on May 20, 2020. I contacted customer service to renew the offer, but I was rejected by the employee and the manager. I told them that I’m in difficult times,(I mean Corona time )and that I do not have enough money to pay more on my bill so please renew the offer for another year, I do not want to cancel my contract with you, but I did not obtain approval . I had to regret canceling my 3-year contract with you, when I was paying my bills regularly. And now I am looking for another company. I was hoping that this wouldn't happen, especially as these are difficult times for all people and all countries . I felt disappointed of your company.

Very disappointed in the service

Very disappointed in the service. Rogers had called me up to keep me as a customer because I was going to cancel... the guy gave me a “Deal” turns out it was a one year promotion. When it ended my bill jacked up from 49. To 99. When I phoned in to question it Ava the rep told me it was a promotion and I “should have asked more questions” because that’s what she would have done. Hummm ok thanks for the insult. But when you are getting a deal at no time did he say only for a year. Anyways then talked to the manager Teresa and she again I found Her just as rude offer to cut $15. Off my bill monthly ok so 99. To 84. Cancel at that moment. Not only are we in a pandemic with wages lost they jack the prices. Would never have anything to do with this company again.

Just went back to Rogers to dodge the 2-3 years price hikes from the other guy and find that the new ignite is much worse than the previous digital service. Its painfully slow to change channels and sound on my home theater is borked by stereo output on some channels. Leaving only 2 speakers working on my 5.1 HT system. Internet and home phone are about the same as the older service. I dont see myself sticking with this long. But Bell is $$$ and jacks up prices yearly by 15$. Wish we had a third option.

I signed for Rogers Ignite Serices…

I signed for Rogers Ignite Serices about 6 or 7 weeks ago, and not once have i gotten the Internet speed I am paying for, nor the TV service is worth what I pay for. TV, on any channel, when watching a show, it go to black screen several times, we can only see about 75 to 80% of any show. Then other times, it will take 20 second or so clip and replay it up to 5 times. We have been on the phone with rogers about 100 times since getting this service and they are not interested in fixing my Problems in any way.
I would not reccomend Rogers Ignite to anyone!

Do not work here!!!

I got the job because I needed a job. It was the worst mistake of my life. The schedule ruined all my friendships and the stress from the job ruined my psyche so now I am a burned out wreck with nothing left and struggling to rebuild my life.

First of all, the empty promises. They tell you about the history of the company and they make it sound like they hire internally. They tell you there is room for advancement. They tell you that you will get raises. These are all blatant lies. They hire mostly from the outside for any position. The only person I know who got promoted to management worked there for 15 years and let's just say they are in very poor health probably from 15 years of stress and sitting all day. The raises are based on performance. But if you do the job correctly, and don't cut corners, it's impossible to meet the targets. If you do cut corners, the stress of getting caught and losing your job creeps up on you. You just can't win.

The training I got was terrible. Not only was it misrepresenting what the job would be like, it was also abusive. I mean literally abusive. It was demeaning. Everything you do wrong is thrown back at you. Even if it was advice the trainers themselves gave you that caused the problem.

I also had a moment that could be classified as a metoo moment. And ongoing passive aggressive behavior because I turned down the advance. But that was from a manager as well. Blah.

The people who do get ahead in this environment are pretty much all psychopathic or narcissistic. Hence the management you immediately answer to care more about their own numbers than about actually helping you. So if you have a phone call with an abusive customer making unreasonable demands but who won't hang up or agree to end the call you are just going to be stuck listening to them abuse you. And guess what, you are not allowed to hang up on abusive callers. Management is supposed to take over the call when that happens but as stated above, they won't bother.

Micromanagement. They require you to get approval for everything you do, even if it follows the policy. So if Rogers messed up and overcharged someone $500 because of a technical error, for example a code on their account enabling long distance calls being deleted, you have to get approval to apply the credit. But the managers get rated on how many credits they allow so they probably won't approve it even if the policy says so and it will be on you later when they review the call and see you didn't follow the policy.

The systems are needlessly complicated. Even updating a customers email address can sometimes require entering it in 3 different systems. You will have about 13 different programs to use (not all at the same time) and they are all outdated or have numerous issues woth functioning.

Inconsistency. The goals and metrics continually change. This upsets the customers and causes headaches for the reps. Bad last quarter? Throw money at every problem until it goes away. Then the new fiscal year starts and you're stingy and can't even credit $5 without it counting against you. Since the targets they use to measure your performance constantly change, it's hard to adapt. You spend two months learning how to make the numbers work in practice - and it's not easy - and then they chsnge the goals because of new priorities. One month they mostly care about new sales. Next thing you know the priorities change and the following month they are just worried about how many calls you transfer to other departments.

Conflicting goals and targets. They want you to sell or try to sell on every call. Even if the customer calls in crying about how broke they are. But they also count it against you personally if the customer gives Rogers a bad review. So the customer can fill out a survey and say "I liked the rep I talked to, but I still hate Rogers" and that counts against YOU.

Would rate 0 if i could

Would rate 0 if i could. They call multiple times a day during a pandemic asking where is the payment, when will you be making a payment. You inform them that you recieved a call already and they say, we did not recieve a defintite date and amount of payment so the system generates another call even though the last person you talked to assured you that you would not be called again and they would wait for you to call them when a payment has been made. Have never recieved this level of shaudy customer service in the over 20 years i have been a rogers customer. Seriously thinking of switching to another provider. Even shaw understands the pandemic we are going through and called one time to see what was going on with payment during the whole thing. But rogers has to call multiple times a day. I would not recommend this service to anyone.

Anyone else is better

It’s been an incredibly frustrating past few months with Rogers. Just last fall I had to switch providers for my cell phone because my cell phone broke a day before vacation and Rogers wouldn’t provide me a new one. Unfortunately for me I am on a corporate plan so I needed to wait for a new phone in the mail. They offered me a flip phone which needless to say wouldn’t suffice as a camera for my trip and wouldn’t have internet surfing capabilities. It was a joke. So after wasting over five hours of my time (after I worked a night shift and still needed to pack the day before my trip), I was told I could not get a new phone. Since I wasn’t on contract any longer I quickly switched to Telus and got a new phone and ended my cell phone services with Rogers.

Now I’m having issues with my internet which frequently experiences blackouts. I had a promotion for the last few months and it has since ended resulting in a huge price increase IN My services which I am currently not even receiving. During this pandemic my partner has been unable to work (he works from home) as our internet isn’t working. We’ve been relying on our limited cell phone data for internet and are now experiencing overage fees thanks to lack of internet service from Rogers. This blackout has now been 5 hours. Upon calling we were offered a $5 discount. Is that a joke? I feel so invalues and under appreciated. Unfortunately Rogers is a major internet provider but I can say with certainty that I’m looking elsewhere for services and DO NOT recommend Rogers to anyone. I will never have a phone with them again as they wasted so much of my time and screwed me around when all I needed was a new device and was willing to sign a new contract (which by the way I had to do as I was promised a new phone but after doubling my bill they couldn’t provide one). I’m looking at other companies. I hear teksavvy is cheap and if their internet cuts out at least I’ll be saving a bunch to pay the overage fees on my phone - still cheaper. Otherwise I could go to bell and for the same price I was offered also get tv. Rogers is a joke. They do not value their customers. I can’t wait for more companies to start up to give Canadians more options.

Everyone Boycott Rogers

I have been mistreated on several occasions by Rogers client support through phone. I called in two weeks back to bring up a concern of $150 international charge on my account for a 78min long distance call made on several occasions due to emergency in times of COVID19.
To my surprise the call costed $1.95 per min.

I called client support to discuss why is this rate so high? The representative women was in the first place rude and also she messed up my account.

She updated both of my contract lines without my full consent and then later that day I receive an email from Rogers that I will now have to pay device charges of $450 & $250 Something for both of my accounts representing below phone lines

I never agreed to this change and when called back in I was given this Roger Case Number # i was provided I was told that it will be resolved and I will get a confirmation call from Rogers which I did received after a week telling me that this change can not be un-done and all blame was put on me. I never agreed to any of these changes and paying of these extra charges for devices which totals to be over $750.

Rogers should be ashamed of themselves and must be sued for their mid-information
