Amazing service - Friendly and trustworthy staff! Saw me the same morning I phoned with concerns about my car. Thorough service and excellent customer service. I left feeling reassured that my car was safe to drive and everything as it should be. I felt listened to, and I appreciated the way they talked me through the diagnostic checks they were doing and their findings.
This is definitely becoming my 'go-to' garage, thank you! 🙂

Absolutely disgusting and unprofessional behaviour by this company, recently took my vehicle for a heating repair, diagnosed and replaced thermostat at £456.00 which was steep but was told in depth checks were needed, on collection I drove it halfway home and realised it wasn’t fixed, in fact it was worse blowing cold air, i returned immediately, no attempt by the garage to contact me, eventually after 3 days I spoke to the manager who agreed to resolve the issue, they were obligated to repair or refund, they decided to repair at cost to them, 10 days later I went to collect the vehicle and it wasn’t repaired at all. Instead they just Fobbed me off with excuses and more unbelievable lies, in total they had the van for 3 weeks, they completely misdiagnosed the issue then refused to refund. Untrustworthy beyond belief and I am one of their regular customers, you have been warned- court date pending.

Do not use. I took my car in with a fault and they ran diagnostics and spent labour time to find faults, which is fine. But you dont spend £400+ on labour without getting approval from the bill payer 1st, shocking. Also the work they quoted on was £700 more expensive than the garage the car is now with, #ripoff no doubt because I am a woman.

Useless, simply useless, would not trust them at all from my experience with this outfit. Go elsewhere, you do yourself a favour by going somewhere else, anywhere but this place.

I have been coming here for over 6 years now, and wouldn't go anywhere else. The staff are all so friendly and helpful and always go out of their way to squeeze me in if I have any car issues/ need an MOT or service. Would highly recommend their services to anyone.

If I could rate this garage a zero I would. It went in to have a new clutch, was told it was undriveable after fitting the clutch and they didnt know why. A week later I got it back, was told it was all sorted but we took it for a drive and it was making a noise it did not have when it went in. Took it back, waited another week then was told it just had the gearbox oil changed, was still making a noise and they said it was nothing to do with what they had done. They then accused me of lying about there being a noise despite a mechanic standing there saying he can hear one! Rude, untrustworthy and disgusting customer service. Don't take your vehicles there. Back street garage at its finest!!

I've been taking my car to Draycott Engineering for a few years now and the service I have received has been top class. Last Wednesday my car broke down and not having roadside assistance cover I called Draycott Engineering in a right state. Within an hour one of their mechanics turned up with a recovery vehicle, loaded my vehicle and took me back to the garage. On arrival at the garage, before unloading my vehicle they fixed me up with a courtesy car before I even asked for one and sent me on my way. The following morning I got a call about what
was wrong with my car and price. Hand on heart this garage and the team didn't just go above and beyond to help me they went the extra mile . Had it not been for their efficiency I don't know how long I'd have been stuck for. The whole team is friendly, their prices are very reasonable and they will do whatever they can to help you. Today I collected my car and they sat down with me on their time (I want to get another car) and went through what car would be the most suitable. I mean wow I was so grateful. So if you want a garage that is honest, friendly, reasonably priced and efficient these are the guys for you .

I have used them for more than 5yrs and they have kept my 24yr old Volvo going well. For the latest MOT I knew I needed new back springs, shocks and handbrake. They did a great job and charged me a little less than they quoted. I will continue to use them and will have my timing belt renewed next month. When young I used to do all repairs myself and very happy to find people I can trust now I have a lot of miles on my clock like my Volvo

Hate giving 1 star, however DE has in the last few years deteriorated in many ways.
Their customer service now is not great, it used to be top notch. I had used DE for multiple years without issues. Ben left, and it started going down hill. They used to inform you when the car was ready, recently, i have had to call them near the end of the day. This is unacceptable.
They charged me for a procedure, but that procedure was not done.
I asked for another procedure to be done, however, it could not be done "correctly" as i had a issue with the car itself. They told me i had been informed of this issue, however, i was not. It was like they wanted to get rid of me.
If a procedure is done on a car, and its not "correct" then its either "bodged" or not done at all. Either way, i did not feel safe driving the car.
I took the car for a second opinion. The issue that DE said the car had, was none existent. So i guess they lied to me? Suffice to say, will not be taking my car back to them.

Taken my cars here since 2012 not once had a bad experience, always friendly faces always wise advise. Honestly couldnt recommend them highly enough .

An amazing service throughout, was in need of a quick turn around and they had me out on the road in no time, would highly recommend Draycott Engineering to everyone, a very knowledgable team..

If you want your car fixed and decent customer service, do not use this garage. They were fine until the new owner took over and now they fob you off, don’t fix what they say they’ll fix, are rude, arrogant and intimidating. Also, them being part of the good garage scheme, what a joke that is! The scheme side with the garage and then won’t let you leave negative feedback about the garage! Talk about a massive con!

The guys at draycott are hard working honest mechanics. As far as I can tell they're never closed, they'll stay late for you to pick up your car, open Saturdays and always explain the problem and fix to your car (will show you removed parts and will discuss options with you, I.e. Cheaper alternatives that will get the job done on an older car). They're always friendly, accommodating. Charge by 15 mins for labour at half the rate of a nearby dealership garage but provide a better service. The only issue is they get booked up because evidently everyone knows they're good. Have tried a few garages in didcot and this is the best.
