DreamHost is a dream

DreamHost is a dream! Their support team is always there offering thorough and clear solutions. They support our non-profit website at no charge. We are not well-off so their kindness is greatly appreciated. Our non-profit supports some of the poorest people in the world. I am so proud of DreamHost for contributing in this way. God bless DH!

Sometimes you don't know how bad a…

Sometimes you don't know how bad a company is until you try and "leave" them.

I moved my websites to Cloudflare back in January/February and saw that I had a renewal on my Dreamhost hosting service coming up in early August. I cancelled the renewal but instead of just cancelling the renewal it also took away all access to my files that I planned to backup. I had to contact help to re-enable access to download my files. However talking to the agent he said that re-enabling access meant that now the account would auto-renew. So I would have to cancel again after downloading. Given that I had paid up through Aug 10 it seems lame to remove access immediately. Also even though I had changed the DNS and moved my website to Cloudflare I saw that Dreamhost continued to charge me an absurd 10/month for PHP support for my websites using outdated PHP. They refused to refund this.

When a hosting service is set for cancellation, access to the files may be adjusted immediately by the system, though our team is always glad to help temporarily restore it so you can safely retrieve your data. Regarding PHP Extended Support, notifications are normally sent in advance—typically 56 days and 28 days before the change, along with a reminder once the add-on is applied. Please note that moving your DNS to an external provider does not automatically cancel the active subscriptions or add-ons remaining on your DreamHost account.

At this time, we weren’t able to locate your account based on the information provided in this review. Again, Dreamhost delivers the best service

Again, Dreamhost delivers the best service. This time, when I needed to move one function outside, I got repeated guidance, with care to ensure the intricacies were clear. Repeated. Delivered with grace, and good cheer. Then, when one of the large files left something behind, the most detailed steps were taken – even though the lost piece was not essential – providing as always: the best service. Thanks to the support staff, and to Dreamhost.

Great Company

I have been a Dreamhost customer since 2009 and I use them for every client, every company, and every situation I can. My sites are always up, I can get in touch with support easily, and they always solve my issues right away. A really great company!

Solid no-hassle support

I've been using DreamHost for decades, and have always found them responsive and helpful whenever I've encountered problems with any aspects of my websites or hosting. Recently, I had to upload a ZIP file of a site that I took down months ago -- I had problems with the upload, which they addressed for me, and then when the unzipped files weren't working, a member of their support team went in and fixed the issue (which saved me from having to figure out what the problem was). Great no-hassle support.

25+ years as a customer.

I have been using Dreamhost to be the web server host for about 15 websites for close about 25 years! OMG. I can't believe it been that long, and they have never once been anything but amazing. And their Customer Service is and has always been excellent ... and fast!
