Dishonest

Dishonest. Refused to show me the rental agreement. Said it would be email. Found they charged me for an out of state fee even though I’m staying in AZ. I declined their insurance and then saw a charge was added for it as well.

Bad & Good

Young man picked us up at the airport, he was very pleasant, made conversation and couldn’t help enough when we arrived and returned the vehicle.

This I couldn’t say about the Scotsman that booked us in. Never looked at us, demanded documentation and tried to sell the excess insurance and even tried to state that the excess booked via another party wouldn’t be covered by them, unless I didn’t know about insurance then I would have been in doubt and bought the insurance he was offering.
Of course it wouldn’t be covered by Easirent but it was STILL cover and I had to emphasise that I was a retired Financial Advisor and knew what cover I had in place.
NOT A PEOPLE’ S PERSON.
Beautiful car, economic, comfortable and spacious.
The down side was it was NOT as clean as I would expect.
I had kids eat crisps on the Friday and decided to hoover the car out on the Saturday only to find sickness that had NOT been cleaned down the side of the front hand rest and in the footwell in the back of the drivers seat. It was obviously there for a while as there was no smell thankfully.

Would I book with this company again, possibly due to the good points but possibly not taking into consideration the cost and the downsides as stated.

Booked car via StressFreeCarRentals to pick up Dublin Airport. When rang Easirent from airport, booking cancelled. Hadn't bothered to contact me & offered no other car. Left to sort another car via another website. Very poor service

$550 for a $103 rental

$550 for a $103 rental. Added two insurance packages onto my car when they lied and told me that I could not leave the lot without their insurance. I agreed to one after finding a less expensive option than they were first stating that I had to sign up for and then they signed me up for both. Also lied and told me that I was getting $200 back from the amount that they claimed the total was. Instead, they added an additional $200 on top of the amount I agreed to and refunded that later on. They gave me the wrong vehicle. It kept losing air in the tired so I had to buy air and valve stem caps for it. Once I finally received a breakdown of my bill, I found that they added a second insurance. I called their customer service and was informed that they should not have added either insurance because I had provided my own. Customer service advised that I email someone instead and specifically told me "DO NOT RETURN TO THE RENTAL LOCATION BECAUSE OF THE EXPERIENCE THAT I HAD WITH THE TELLER." I emailed customer service to sort out the extra charges that needed to be removed. They waited almost EXACTLY over 24 hours to respond and tell me that they "cannot remove anything because I did not return to the location that I rented the car from." I explained that I followed what customer service instructed. At this point, I was 2 hours from where I rented the car on a work trip. I kept up on emailing them that the teller lied, added additional charges that I did not agree to, lied again, and added many extra fees such as a shuttle fee that was not disclosed. When I returned the vehicle, I was given the same story that I agreed to all of the charges that I did not agree to, and given a managers contact info who copied and the same BS. Do NOT rent from this company. Their google reviews are all AI / paid reviews. I attempted a credit card dispute and found that they stole my signature from signing for the deposit amount and pasted it several times on a PDF for all of the fees that I did NOT agree to. BEWARE.

Bad everything

I can deal with an extra to get to their location, but beyond that, it is so not worth it. The shuttle tracking with broken so you have no idea when they are coming. I called and the agent said just to wait. The office is three or four people in a warehouse storefront, no AC in the place, system was down so all the preregistration was worthless, car has
51,000 miles in it and I just see it has a low tire
And the braking system warning light is on. Little inconvience is one thing, an unsafe car is another. Pay the extra money.

HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!

Well, the first vehicle that I was given, all the tires were pretty much bald. I told them that I needed another vehicle because my grandchildren will be riding in the vehicle. I was given another vehicle. The tires were a little bit better but they weren’t great the, tire pressure gauge stayed on for the whole two weeks that I rented the vehicle saying low tire pressure. I had to consistently put air in the tires and it wouldn’t hold, when I tried to use the windshield wipers along with the windshield wiper fluid, I thought it was broke because nothing came out. I put in a whole container of windshield wiper fluid. I told the person when I turned the vehicle in of all the issues that I had and this was the same person that I rented the vehicle from and he wrote them down I took a snapshot and he said he would see what he can do, but of course nothing was done. I called the company to see where my deposit was and come to find out it was a $500 hold, not a deposit and I didn’t know this until I was on the phone with my Bank for a half an hour. The money was basically dissolved into the days that I rented the vehicle so I guess they took it out of that but it’s horrible service, because I felt like I put more into the vehicle than what I got out of it and it was long wait times to get a vehicle and also returning it. I will never rent from this company again, this was my first time and it will be my last, because unfortunately, I had to keep the vehicle for an extended 2 weeks due to having issues with my vehicle and I ended up purchasing a new car, but I won’t recommend this company to anybody if I can give zero stars, I would!

Worst car rental I have ever purchased

Worst car rental I have ever purchased. First of all, when I booked online, there was no in state/out of state rental option. When I looked at my booking, it clearly said my rental included unlimited miles. Upon arriving, I was told I had to pay an extra $330 to get said unlimited miles because my car was booked only for florida. After paying the difference, I was handed my keys and not shown to my car. The guy said it's outside. Push the button and you'll find it. 10 minutes after driving, I noticed the car said a tire was low on air, so I stopped and filled it. Later that evening, it was low again, so upon reaching my destination, I had a mechanic look at the tire. Not only was there a nail in the tire, that was obviously already there, but the tread on my front 2 tires was almost completely gone. The mechanic said that I shouldn't have been allowed to drive off with tires like that. It was very dangerous. I had to fill the tire every single day until returning. I was not offered any compensation for this. During my trip, it started to rain. My windshield wipers were jumping across the windshield because they were old and needed to be replaced. I had to pull over and add travel time for no reason. Once I got back to return my rental and told all of this to the rental agent, he apologized (carelessly) and didn't offer any kind of refund or compensation. This is the worst car rental experience I have EVER had and I would never recommend this company to anyone. It's not worth it, nor is it as cheap as they advertise.

Brittany was so helpful and patient!!

I went to the Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport location and Brittany was so helpful and patient!!! I came at a busy time to pick up my reserved rental and she was pretty slammed when I got there but she still took care of me and had a wonderful attitude!! The only thing I’d suggest is having more staff at the check in desk to help with rushes like that. Brittany was all by herself dealing with a multitude of customers but she didn’t skip a beat and was thorough, getting me out with my car at a reasonable time! She absolutely deserves all the praise and a raise too because she’s fantastic!! 😁

Long line wait time and questionable vehicle

There was a long line waiting to get to the registration desk and only one person working. We were charged an unexpected $96.00 (non-refundable) fee for "possible rocks hitting the windshield because [as we were told] Arizona, U.S.A. is 'rock country'". Once we received the keys, the car assigned to us was dirty inside, outside, had scratches on it, smelt of marijuana (and we had a kid with us), and the back tire appeared to be old & worn out. We felt unsafe in using this vehicle. Anyway, at least the manager was kind enough to change out the vehicle for us. Once receiving the new vehicle, we felt very safe, secure, and was pleased. The shuttle driver (back to the airport) named Juan was absolutely great. He was actually sitting there and waiting for us when we returned the car. Now that's what I call making a good impression.

These guys are sneaky

These guys are sneaky. Made reservations for a rental, got there late at night. They slipped in some extra warranty, coverages that I didn’t know about. Didn’t tell me that they added that stuff in or even explain to me how much more it cost. All I remember seeing the bill a couple days later, and when I went to return the vehicle, And I explained to that them that I didn’t greet to any such thing and if they can correct it, they told me no, so I have to pay more than doubled than what the car was originally supposed to be rented at for. Make sure you watch what you sign.

Renter beware!!

Unfortunately, I will never use Easirent again. When I arrived to pick up my car, it had several dents on it. I was told that was the only one that was available. The next morning on my drive to work I noted a rattle and my plan after the workday was to take the car back. At the end of my workday I got in the car and started to back out of my parking spot only to have the front end of the car fall off. I had to take a Uber that I had to pay for back to the car rental only to find the car in the parking lot completely put back together. They did file a claim against my insurance. Fortunately, I videoed both everything showing the car completely put back together back at the rental parking lot. The claim they tried to file against my insurance, showed the car with duct tape and bungees holding the front end in place after it had been completely wrecked. Renter beware!!!

Booked thru priceline and advertised…

Booked thru priceline and advertised unlimited miles and a set agreed price, upon arrival i was charged a fee for being a local resident and was told I would incure an additional fee for driving out of state and there cars are not unlimited mileage. It was gonna cost me more in fees then it would have cost for the rental it self, stay away from these people, rude and dishonest.

DO NOT RENT A CAR FROM THIS COMPANY

DO NOT RENT A CAR FROM THIS COMPANY. This was a horrible place to rent a vehicle. I had to wait for almost a hour to take shuttle from Phoenix airport to their rental office. When I got there in front of counter, the person told my reserved SUV(3 days reservation) was not available, I had two choices, either cancel the rental or give me a Sedan, this is ridiculous, it's already late, if I cancel, I had to spend another two hours to go back to airport to rent another car, I took the send choice. Sedan renting price is much cheaper than SUV in rental market, there's no negotiation, they wouldn't even consider adjusting the price, staff are rude. Unfortunately, I had a car accident at the second day, gas tank underneath is low and hitting an object on the road(if I had my SUV, it shouldn't have happened), the gas tank's leaking, I bought third party insurance to cover the repair, however, this rental company charged a high admin fee and refused to provide documentation for my insurance company to pay for it, the insurance company only paid for damage repair, it ended up I had to pay the rest of $400. It's the worst rental experience I never had before. Stay away from this rental company.

I booked this rental through expedia…

I booked this rental through expedia and did not notice I was renting through easirent. The process to rent this car with doing all the paperwork prior took 2 hours!! I was charged 44$ to have an extra driver(Me) as the rental was in my wife name but I used my credit card. We are both on the credit card and on the private insurance that we used. I told the young lady (whom is not found of her job or customers) no thanks on the extra driver and was told she couldn't reverse the charge. This appears to be a place that you go to if you don't have a credit card and desperate for a rental. The car had service lights on and didn't appear to be washed. Never ever again!! This location is in Houston.
