Review summary

Created with AI, based on recent reviews

Looking at 710 reviews, most reviewers were unhappy with their experience overall. Many people found the service poor, often encountering long waiting times and disorganization during pickup. Customers frequently faced unexpected and hidden fees, significantly increasing the final cost. The remote location of the rental offices, often requiring multiple shuttles and extended waits, was a major inconvenience. Furthermore, numerous reviewers received vehicles that were dirty, damaged, or in poor mechanical condition. However, some customers noted positive interactions with staff, describing them as pleasant and helpful. A few also found the vehicles themselves to be good, clean, or suitable for their needs.

Renter beware!!

Unfortunately, I will never use Easirent again. When I arrived to pick up my car, it had several dents on it. I was told that was the only one that was available. The next morning on my drive to work I noted a rattle and my plan after the workday was to take the car back. At the end of my workday I got in the car and started to back out of my parking spot only to have the front end of the car fall off. I had to take a Uber that I had to pay for back to the car rental only to find the car in the parking lot completely put back together. They did file a claim against my insurance. Fortunately, I videoed both everything showing the car completely put back together back at the rental parking lot. The claim they tried to file against my insurance, showed the car with duct tape and bungees holding the front end in place after it had been completely wrecked. Renter beware!!!

Booked thru priceline and advertised…

Booked thru priceline and advertised unlimited miles and a set agreed price, upon arrival i was charged a fee for being a local resident and was told I would incure an additional fee for driving out of state and there cars are not unlimited mileage. It was gonna cost me more in fees then it would have cost for the rental it self, stay away from these people, rude and dishonest.

Upon arrival to the palm beach airport location.I dealt with a very knowledgeable young man Dwight. He explained everything there was to know about the rental car and he was quite informative. He is an asset to your company.

DO NOT RENT A CAR FROM THIS COMPANY

DO NOT RENT A CAR FROM THIS COMPANY. This was a horrible place to rent a vehicle. I had to wait for almost a hour to take shuttle from Phoenix airport to their rental office. When I got there in front of counter, the person told my reserved SUV(3 days reservation) was not available, I had two choices, either cancel the rental or give me a Sedan, this is ridiculous, it's already late, if I cancel, I had to spend another two hours to go back to airport to rent another car, I took the send choice. Sedan renting price is much cheaper than SUV in rental market, there's no negotiation, they wouldn't even consider adjusting the price, staff are rude. Unfortunately, I had a car accident at the second day, gas tank underneath is low and hitting an object on the road(if I had my SUV, it shouldn't have happened), the gas tank's leaking, I bought third party insurance to cover the repair, however, this rental company charged a high admin fee and refused to provide documentation for my insurance company to pay for it, the insurance company only paid for damage repair, it ended up I had to pay the rest of $400. It's the worst rental experience I never had before. Stay away from this rental company.

I booked this rental through expedia…

I booked this rental through expedia and did not notice I was renting through easirent. The process to rent this car with doing all the paperwork prior took 2 hours!! I was charged 44$ to have an extra driver(Me) as the rental was in my wife name but I used my credit card. We are both on the credit card and on the private insurance that we used. I told the young lady (whom is not found of her job or customers) no thanks on the extra driver and was told she couldn't reverse the charge. This appears to be a place that you go to if you don't have a credit card and desperate for a rental. The car had service lights on and didn't appear to be washed. Never ever again!! This location is in Houston.

Got car 2 hours after reserve time!

We reserved the car for 2pm so it would be ready for us by the time we arrived. We arrived at 3pm, and didn’t receive the car until almost 4pm… I asked for a refund for those two hours that I had already paid for. They said it was comped on the back end as they extended the return time. That doesn’t help me as my flights going out hadn’t changed and I still had to return it early! Return staff was also rude and dismissive.

This rental car company is crooks

This rental car company is crooks. I rented a car and returned it early and they kept the money I paid for the unused days. Now they are free to overcharge someone else for the same rental I already paid for. I called to inquire and they said oh well. I’m never using them again.

Unprofessional and Dismissive Service

The staff did not acknowledge my presence, treated me rudely, and ignored my concerns.
I was forced to pay tolls that I did not incur, as well as a shuttle fee, which I have never been charged for in previous rentals.
Despite making payment, I did not receive a receipt. When I requested it, the staff claimed I did not ask for it, which is both incorrect and unacceptable.
In-person contract requirement: I was told that a refund could only be processed if I signed a new contract in person. I was located far from your office, and this requirement is unreasonable, particularly given the circumstances.

Overall BAD

Car check engine light came on because the car needed an oil change. Also had no windshield fluid. After drop off they gave me a hard time about having my registered service dog in the car. However I had my dog with me at pickup and they said nothing. Hidden fees as well.

Horrible Experience

Horrible! Tampa FL. First vehicle did not have AC. We went back to exchange it for a second vehicle. They exchange it by day two the tire pressures air out one of the tires! We almost missed our flight back home. We called customer service many times and keep getting redirected. Only one agent was available at the site after roadside assistance came to the rescue. Thank God, I paid for protection. Awful experience.
Avoid this place for renting vehicles! Only good thing was very friendly employees.

I rented a 7 pass got a smaller car

I rented a 7 passenger mini van. Stated model was a ford galaxy “or similar”. I got a Dacia Jogger. The car that I received is smaller than what I wanted. The trunk/boot is 1/3 smaller in the configuration that supports 7 passengers. Also the tank was at 1/4 full so right off on top of eveything (jet lag, handling 6 carry ons 3 checked bags and personal items in a car that is too small) NOW I need to get gas?? Now I assume that they are going to charge extra for the Dublin tolls that they told me to not pay for as needed.

I was a little skeptical, but this was definitely worth renting again.

I was a little skeptical as we had to take a second shuttle and our first driver was less than welcoming. Once we reached the Irving office we were treated top notch. The rental was upgraded for us and although I asked for the gentleman’s name I believe it started with a D I’m not sure and I don’t want to ruin it. He was absolutely amazing! Albeit not knowing about the out of state fee the upgrade and all of the explaining and rest of the attention to details was worth it. I can see why some people are skeptical but our experience was amazing and I would suggest and we will rent again. When traveling it’s always nice to pack some patience.

Filthy vehicle and bald front tires!

My flight arrived at 9:47 pm. Easiest in West Palm Beach Fl closes at 10:00 pm. By pure luck I did get the last shuttle bus but if I had missed it I would have been stranded at the airport.
The car was also filthy inside and out. The windshield was filthy inside and outside. The front tires were worn beyond legal. Picking up the car at night time made it difficult to make an assessment of the condition and all agents were done for the night. It ran fine but I was very concerned about having a front tire blow out on the interstate. I made due but this particular agency needs to up its game for sure!

If I could give my experience a ZERO I…

If I could give my experience a ZERO I would!
I had a prebooked car in Las Vegas. First the location is two shuttle buses away from the airport, and you arrive in a hangar with two desks... The queue was over 45 minutes, with only 2 people processing. Once I got there, the very disinterested staff was very happy to inform me that since I am not a US resident, I need to pay over USD 300 extra in insurance, which was 160% more than the price I had already paid!
At this stage, and having been in this hangar for over 90 minutes, I left and lost the money for my booking.
There was NO mention of extra cost before I got to the front desk.

Easirest: Cross border fee charged and no tax disc!

Rented (€79), a car for a week: which was great value. Didn’t realise that it didn’t cover the island of Ireland. So I was fined €100 as I hadn’t told them! So not great value at all. There was no tax disc on the car (which is illegal), and upon the driver. The Cork based employee incorrectly argued that it was their problem not mine. However it’s up to the driver to check the car is roadworthy, taxed and insured.
Never again!!!
