EasyDNA is a complete failure.

EasyDNA is operating a slapjob barely held together operation in Australia and have failed us immensely.
Do not use them. Go anywhere else.

They booked a pickup for our urgent testing sample, only to completely screw up that proces and then become rude and hostile towards me when I requested assistance / a refund. Blaming me for how they "operate" there business and collection in Australia. Simply abhorrent - I cannot emphasise strongly enough that they do not deserve your money or mental load. Go anywhere else. If you are with them, than I pray to all the is holy you don't get customer service rep "Asia" hostile child playing at customer service. 1 star is generous.

The test and instructions are pathetic. They assume everyone knows how to use a lancet. The collection strip calls for 5 samples on the same strip. It is impossible to avoid contamination. We could not draw enough blood from the first lancet so they generously offered to send another 3 for $18. Avoid like the plague. EasyDNA are absolute amateur's. And things being kind.

I am sure this is a scam

I am sure this is a scam. Very quick to take money. The kit was sent out and the instructions did not even match the contents. I did the test and returned with samples, after that they cut off all contact ignoring my emails. Not to be trusted. I have lost my money and time.

Pet DNA services excellent

Amazing customer service

I ordered a DNA kit to determine if my second set of twins were identical or fraternal. The kit came very quickly and instructions were very easy to read. Unfortunately in my sleep deprived state I may have ticked both male and female but someone called me to clarify as soon as the samples came in to clarify.
I received an email when they received the samples and was extremely surprised how fast the results came back and how easy they were to read. They are fraternal if you are wondering and first set identical.

Beware if you require refund for unused/ undelivered test kit

No longer needed test kit contacted them by phone to cancel testing kit was told to send email which did was also told on pH once email received would get full refund as test hadn't been sent, 2 days after that and alot of emails later rang them asked to speak to admin no one was available as the case manager was on leave and the higher manager also was away, customer service then gave me phone number for parent company and I rang them to leave a msg later in day the accounts manager rang me and also confirmed I would receive a full refund of purchase said he couldn't do anything until case manager was of leave and approved it, today got email from case manager stating that due to term and conditions I would lose $66 which is ment to cover shipping and test costs, I explained to her that I was told it hadn't been dispatched and if had I haven't received it she apologised and said would look into it and let me know later this afternoon which didn't happen, very poor customer service, and very poor policies relating to refunds so my advice here is make sure if you order a kit you use it other will lose part of the $$ you paid, I really think that I am entitled to full refund as still havnt received parcel with test kit and was told by two seperate people who represent easy DNA I would get full refund

This company sent us faulty tubes and wouldn’t refund us.

This company sent us faulty saliva tubes, after my partner and filled them up and followed instructions carefully, resealed and shook them. We put them in the box to send back and they started leaking everywhere.

I have been trying for months to get replacement DNA kits and they have been very unresponsive to my emails. When they finally did respond, they told me I would have to pay another $140 each for the replacement kits, and said that I just didn’t seal them properly. I do NOT recommend this company. A waste of money for me.

Inaccurate, sibling DNA test results.

I initially purchased a sibling DNA test for my brother and I as I wanted to confirm if we had the same biological father. The results came back as 99.6% full sibling. This was a bit shocking for me as I had been told that I had a different biological father. Because of these results I then asked my older sister to also do a sibling DNA test at a further cost of about $500. When her results came back, she was less than 1% chance of being a full sibling to me.
These two conflicting pieces of DNA testing results Caused me then to have an ancestry DNA test done along with my brother. My sisters and my mum had already done an ancestry test. When my results came back, there was no results linking me to being a full sibling to either my sister or my brother.
I had contacted easy DNA to get them to compare the results again, but never received any kind of follow-up from them. If I had gotten accurate results with my brother, in the beginning, I would never have gone to the additional cost of having another test done with my sister. All up this is cost about $1500 Only to get in accurate results, and if I was to do it all again, I would simply have done an ancestry DNA test from the beginning

Exhausting

My experience with EasyDNA has been nothing short of a nightmare, and I am compelled to share my ordeal to warn others. From the start, I encountered inefficiency and miscommunication that has caused immense distress and inconvenience for my family and me.

I reached out to EasyDNA on the 24th of July to inquire about DNA testing services for my family. Initially, the process seemed promising, but it quickly unraveled as we faced a series of setbacks. The legal forms we received were only sample forms, leading to delays and the subsequent receipt of an inaccurate invoice that overlooked one of my children, despite our agreement to test all three.

Despite our repeated efforts to resolve these issues, we only received the corrected invoice on the 31st of July, after constant follow-ups. To my dismay, as of the time of writing this review, the DNA test kit has still not been dispatched, with no communication from the company about the delay.

These delays will most likely if not met today cause significant financial hardships, forcing me to stay back and miss my scheduled flights to camp, while my office will have to incur additional expenses for rebooking flights and arranging for a colleague to meet me at the airport, to accomodate me back to camp (as i work away in the mines) which is a 6 hour round trip from camp. The uncertainties surrounding my work schedule, coupled with the imminent risk of missing crucial team fly-outs, have placed my job security in jeopardy.

The gravity of this situation cannot be overstated, especially given the court order's 14-day deadline for the DNA testing process. EasyDNA's inefficiency and lack of accountability have caused me immense mental distress and disrupted the stability of my family's life.

I sincerely hope that no one else has to endure the distress and inconvenience that I have faced with this company. I urgently implore EasyDNA to address their inefficiencies, take full responsibility, and ensure the prompt delivery of the DNA kit no later than 2 pm today, the 7th of August 2023. Additionally, a thorough investigation and explanation for the issues encountered, along with a plan to prevent future occurrences, I feel are essential.

It seems all the reviews on easydna via trustpilot seem to be more reflective and a true compilation of dealinmgs with this company over a period of time than the simple google reviews that can be brought to offset the actual true dealings inturn boosting your review s ratings.

I eagerly await a swift and satisfactory resolution to this matter, but as of now, my experience with EasyDNA has been incredibly disappointing and unprofessional.
