"Evernote" is a very good text managing program (structure, organizing, etc.). I've been using it since 2013 and don't want to move anywhere yet. BUT! Since the company "Bending Spoons" bought "Evern... See more

At this moment
At this moment, there is nothing works well like Evernote. The system the ability to have clip to Evernote function makes my life easier. I can create lots of notebooks for categorisation and easy to navigate. The downside will be getting pricier.

Sometimes it is challenging to access my notes because of the rather intrusive pop-up system in place by Evernote. This was not always a feature.
Absolutely love it
Absolutely love it. I use it every day and love how it syncs across devices. I've tried various other applications like OneNote but they don't even come close.

So tired of the update notices every time you log in. Get over it.
My Memory Assistant
All I need do is remember to upload documents or thoughts to Evernote. This leaves my mind free to wander into doing more creative things. When I need to recall something, I know where to go and how to search for it.
Evernote for keeping organized delivers real value and a great user experience!
Evernote has moved ahead by leaps and bounds in the past year. I've been a fan for a long time, as it was an early provider of capabilities not found elsewhere -- like handwriting-to-text transcription -- and I appreciated the notes/notebook/stack functionality for personal organization. The price has gone up, but the user experience now, with smoothness of writing and editing notes with speed as well as using AI integrations is worth it. So much more useful than using traditional documents for business note-taking and sharing.

Great for keeping formal documentation in a searchable database across multiple devices.
Versatile Journaling
The Evernote application allows me to journal wherever I am, on whichever device I choose. I don't need a lot of the features offered through the application, but it's impressive the foresight the developers have and the constant growth of the application.

Terrible service. Dont use. All they want is you to be stuck in endless sub without providing real value.

I've stored information in Evernote for many years. Their decision to raise the cost so dramatically was a disappointment.

i hate constant, almost daily info pop-up screen with the info about what was updated in the recent build. i don't care! i really dislike always having to click ok before i can get to my notes - so annoying :(
The software is feature-rich and…
The software is feature-rich and reliable. The standout feature is being able to search for text inside images—there is still no real alternative on the market for this. However, the exorbitant price tag is completely disproportionate to the features provided. In this day and age, it doesn't even offer an MCP (Model Context Protocol) for external AI tools to connect and retrieve data, leaving you stuck with their half-baked built-in AI. Compared to the pricing of other note-taking apps, it's obvious that Bending Spoons is just treating its users like cash cows. It's highly predictable that current annual subscribers will cancel their plans once they expire.
I use Evernote for everything
I use Evernote for everything (personal & work). I love the simplicity and the power of the search engine so I can find everything I want quickly without having to file my notes. (It has all the filing options for people who like that). I'm incredibly lazy and just want it to be simple to add everything I want, find everything I want and set alarms to remind me if ever it's needed.

Losing a 15+ year customer - A good way to run a company?
I've been an Evernote user for more than 15 years. Although the product has improved under Bending Spoons, they have add functionality not important to me... this along with going from $30/year to $250/yr. in just a few years, I'm out... I'm not sure who their future customers will be but it seems like they're committing price suicide. I would stick around for their $100 starter plan but they limit it enough making it unusable... Best of luck trying for super premium pricing.
I like the product, but....
I like the product, it is easy to use, but I don't like the constant notifications on system upgrades. A lot of times I just want to jump in and do what I need to do,and that is distracting and disrupts my flow. While you are doing many great and wonderful things, you are making it unaffordable for those who are not able to write it off on their taxes. I am now retired, and many of the enhancements that are now available are nice to have, but not critical. I will tell you the critical things that make this a keeper
1. Easy to flow to different platforms, i.e. phone to ipad, to laptop 1, 2, or 3. If this is web based, why do I have to be limited to 2 machines? I am stuck if I have a mishap and can't get to those two machines, but yet the data is stored on a cloud. This is my personal data, this is not like in real estate, where agents share (when they are not supposed to) their login info with someone else who is not "paying for the service". Need to rethink this.
2. I like being able to take a picture and put it in a note, along with text, audio files etc. I usually use a whiteboard to write down my to do list, then take a picture, and sometimes use it to subscribe it into a text list, if I want to use the list for something else.
3. I like it being able to transcribe an audio file into text. I don't think this is necessarily technology you developed, I can do the same thing with "writing" a text message using the voice feature which transcribes it...handy when it is not convenient to text. Should not have to pay extra for that.
4. I am thinking about downgrading or leaving the platform, but don't want to lose my notes. A lot of them may be empty, but I need to find the time to download them all at once and then delete, but don't see an easy way to do that. And if I downgrade, with my storage size decreased, do I no longer have the ability to add new files, until I get rid of the old one? I am exploring Apple's note feature, which works well enough, but I am used to Evernote.
5. My mom used to have a free account. I would make notes and share with her, to help her keep things to remember handy. But some sort of change was made and said that she had to pay. Don't think that was right.
