i love the travel that i choose but only luck of information time to time make it in written as always and remind the client of schedule as always. remember our language is different some times its not easy to understand.

Our tour guide, Gustavo, had a very good knowledge of Spain and Portugal and he is very helpful. He was like a friend rather than a tourguide. Expat shows all the right and interesting places. Stops at some places could be a little longer. We have done 6 expat tours and all our drivers were excellent drivers and was part of the tour rather than being an outsider.

Had a wonderful time in this tour, but only the tour Leader, was very moody and bossy , rude at times towards us.

I completed this trip in July 2025 (recently) and it was one of the most amazing experiences myself and my family have been on, from our tour guide to the experiences, this trip is highly recommended.

The tour itinerary was very hectic but certainly allowed us to visit lots of bucket list tourist sites and enjoy a wide variety of exciting activities. Pauline our tourist guide was the best guide we have ever had on our many tours. Her knowledge and experience was sensational providing lots of background information and very helpful tips along the way. Pauline’s passion and enthusiasm was amazing and allowed each passenger to feel very much looked after and specifically catered for along the way. Her humour and funny stories ensured the long hours spent on the bus were lots of fun and her concern for safety at all times felt like we were in the best hands. Rob the bus driver was also great to travel with, with his fun personality and awesome driving skills which allowed us to enjoy many wonderful sites on our tour. We highly recommend Expat Explore tours for those who have limited time but want to see all the highlights of the UK and enjoy a wide variety of special activities. We especially enjoyed the punting in Cambridge, visiting Edinburgh castle, staying in the Scottish highlands and our cruise on Loch Lomond. The views in the lakes district were amazing, along with the fantastic walking tour in Stratford upon Avon (Shakespeare fans) and in Liverpool (Beatles fans). Visiting the Roman baths was a memorable experience, though sadly we missed stone henge due to an equinox celebration. No matter your age or where in the world you come from, the Expat team will ensure you have a great time and meet lots of new people on tour. Thanks for a truely wonderful experience !! …. Best of UK tour July 15 2025.

100 days out and flat out cancelled the tour I had fully paid for. This 10 night tour was part of a larger 7 week holiday. Read an email at 4am, rang them to only be told it was a ‘supplier issue’. As I had other travel plans of course I could not take an earlier or later tour. Had to request a refund which will be ‘reviewed’ and thus will take 14 days. Mate, YOU cancelled ME, so give me back my money without me having to ‘request’ anything. So currently over 2k out of pocket, had to take the day off work and spent 14 hours and another 3 k rehashing my travel plans, booking flights, accommodation and train trips. Now missing out on a third of my destinations. Hideous experience. Unreliable company.

We were extremely disappointed with the tour and very dissatisfied with the quality of the tour. We saw plenty of alternative hotels for the same price at the same locations, but for some reason, the worst ones were chosen. No instructions were provided for each location on must-do/must-see things, and when and how to book tickets. When we were at each location, a lot of tickets were already sold, so we could barely do anything or had to use resellers such as Viator, etc (that charged 4X of the actual price). We even considered changing hotels to be able to rest normally at The San Lorenzo & Santa Caterina and Bv Oly Hotels. Most of the people on the bus caught a cold and gave it to everyone else. Everyone was coughing and sneezing, and it was slowly spreading. That made our trip very unpleasant, and there was no consideration for those who were sick to stay away or/and wear masks. We had to buy our own medications to try to recover quickly. Several people were constantly late getting back to the bus, so we had to wait, and we were constantly late for our activities. And why doesn’t the guide have the license to tour anywhere other than a few places in Italy? Everywhere we went, he wasn’t pretty much allowed to guide. This is bizarre. When we talked to some of our fellow travelers, they had the same concerns about the tour.

We highly recommend Expat Explore. We did the European Christmas trip as a family of four - our guide Alessandro & our driver Sebastiano were amazing!

Hilariously bad support from outsourced call centers. They flat out bs you making up answers.
They did not actually book all the hotels stated in the tour so there were some last minute changes that were very disruptive.
The bus was missing luggage liners in the shelf above the seats so stuff was falling out while driving and I was hit by a heavy laptop bag.

My daughter and I did this tour over Christmas/New Year for her 21st birthday. It was a great experience for us, from booking online to a very organised tour. Expat were great to deal with any concerns we had. We also had a fabulous tour guide Alessandro who really made our trip so very special.

I have to postponed a tour due to family issues and my deposit just were not refunded ??? They clearly prefer to keep £100 deposit than a return customer which is very dissapointed but doesn’t surprise me after reading some of the worst reviews !! Please don’t use this “travel agency “ they don’t care about you! How pathetic!

17 day Italy- very disappointed
Weren’t given info that our second night in Rome we had to change hotels - luckily we saw someone from the group that we’d spoken to in reception the day before walking along with a suitcase prompting us to ask questions. Some accommodation so tiny only 1 could fit in bathroom ( and we are 2 small people). Given single beds at times despite request for double. Lots of time wasted with info that could have been given on the ever so long bus rides. Food very ordinary and cheap. The good thing was- we travelled to many places in an incredibly short period of time. With a full bus, from various countries, infection prevention was non existent. People allowed to cough and splutter. No hand sanitiser on bus, no masks offered or suggested for preventing spread- consequently nearly the whole bus ended up sick. And don’t mention the hard sell on the coercive tipping - we tip for good service but this was way over the top!

Tour October 2024. Like other operators, this company remains "fluid" in other words don't expect to achieve all they offer as everything is "subject to change".
The tour leaders always try to do their best but the tours are fast paced and they really try to cram more than is practicle into the schedule. You cannot realistically see much of a country in 40 minutes including lunch for example.
The accomodation is mediocre at best and the worst part is seeing honeymoon couples stuck in twin single rooms with no chance of upgrades. Come on guys it's time to improve your act.
