Had a new kitchen fitted by Wayne. This man is a real grafter, does not stop. His work is first class and Flagship should consider themselves very lucky to employ him. The electricians and plasterers were also extremely good. I am very pleased with the work carried out. My house was left clean and tidy, I was informed throughout of what was happening. A far cry from the last work carried out in my house by TM Browne, who left my house looking like a building site.

Dan Chamberlain refitted my entire bathroom in just a day and a half. He worked so quickly and efficiently, was very pleasant and polite and respectful of my home. I am over the moon with everything, it's absolutely lovely, thank you ☺️

My experience with Flagship Housing Association as a shared ownership customer has been extremely disappointing. While many positive reviews appear to come from tenants, the experience of shared ownership leaseholders who eventually buy their homes outright is very different.

When I purchased the remaining 50% share of my property, I obtained valuations from three independent estate agents. All three produced very similar valuations. However, Flagship insisted on instructing their own surveyor, whose valuation came in around £20,000 higher than the highest of the three independent valuations I had obtained. I had no realistic choice but to accept their inflated valuation because it was the only way I could buy the remaining share of my own home. Even the mortgage lender's valuation was lower. In effect, I was forced to pay significantly more simply because Flagship controlled the process.

The second issue concerns the right of pre-emption. Even after purchasing 100% of the property and owning it as a freehold, this restriction remained on the title deeds, meaning I still needed Flagship's permission before selling my own home. I was told this restriction was no longer legally enforceable and that Flagship would waive it. I even paid £159 for the necessary paperwork to have the matter resolved. Despite this, they made the process unnecessarily difficult and, ultimately, the restriction was never removed because they assured me it would not cause any problems when I came to sell.

That assurance has turned out to be completely wrong.

I am now selling the property and the right of pre-emption is causing significant delays because it still appears on the Land Registry title. I initially tried to resolve the matter myself, but after months of difficulty I have had to instruct my solicitor. This is now likely to cost me close to £1,000 in additional legal fees because Flagship requires payment before dealing with the matter. My solicitor must now involve the Land Registry to remove a restriction that Flagship should have dealt with years ago. To make matters worse, there are additional charges simply to have the paperwork processed more quickly.

Throughout this process, I have felt that at every opportunity Flagship has sought to extract more money from homeowners rather than support the people they claim to be helping onto the property ladder.

I also question the service charges. Although my property is a freehold semi-detached house, I was being charged what I considered excessive service charges. When I asked for a detailed explanation of what I was actually paying for and challenged the charges, they suddenly reduced from almost £40 per month to just £40 per year. That raises serious questions about how those charges were calculated in the first place.

Overall, my experience has been one of inflated valuations, unnecessary costs, poor communication and obstructive administration. I would urge anyone considering shared ownership with Flagship to understand exactly what rights they will have, what restrictions may remain after buying outright, and what costs they could face in the future.

You can tell he takes great pride in his work and has a real passion for what he does it’s much more than just a job to him. He is by far the best person I’ve met from Flagship, and I couldn’t be happier with the service he provided.

Wayne is not only a top bloke, he fits a kitchen to a high standard! He turns up on time and cleans up after himself and very respectful too. I am super happy with my kitchen and I can't thank Wayne enough. The quality of the kitchen and the flooring looks great as well. Thank you 😊

Louis was an excellent worker, punctual, conscientious, with an eye for detail.
He was always polite and courteous as were the others who came in from time to time.
The work was done within the timescale as promised and my home was left very clean. I was grateful that they moved the white goods for me too.

Had James come to fix some door handles today, he did a great job and was very quick and efficient, also very polite and considerate of my toddler who was a little scared of the drill noise.

Had an issue with our French door/Window not opening, and John fixed it in 5 minutes. Incredibly efficient and made sure that it was working/that I was happy with the result. Great customer service :)

Mark was very thorough in finding the issue that was causing dampness on the concrete. Went above and beyond helping clear the area and ensuring I knew how to take care of it moving forward.
