Delta gas station in Elmwood Park

This is the 2nd incident that has occurred at a Delta Gas Station with the same gas attendant on River Road in Elmwood Park across from the river and next to a nearby school. I asked to fill up my gas tank with regular-paying cash. Total display on tank shows $25.86. I literally gave him the exact change (a $20 bill-$5 bill-3quarters-dime-penny). He said, “No change! to give him a dollar.” I said I don’t have it, I’m giving you exact change of what I owe you.” He literally took my change, raised his arm and angrily threw the change on the floor. I was like a what the hell! I said to him, you are so disrespectful. Money is money I’m a customer paying you what I owe. He said no change!! Then I just drove off. This was at 12 noon on May11th,2019. This same situation happen at night time about a week & 1/2 ago as well. Gave him change and he threw it on the floor. I figured he had a bad day and I tried this place for the 2nd time. So be careful when getting gas here if paying cash. Either you will be short changed or he will not accept ur change and throw it on the floor. I didn't video tape it but I should have. Absolutely insane. Not sure if anyone has encountered this situation at this gas station.

Technology and Racism on YouTube

As you scroll through its content, it seems to me that YouTube has developed some kind of algorithmic way of mixing websites that contain information concerning gorillas and monkeys with sites regarding Black people. I have reported this problem to the of the customer service representatives of the platform, but nothing has been done about it. Welcome to "the new normal" type of racism. Also, the following site was found among a series of sites created about Black people: The Dark Side of YouTube Vlogging, a video about a White family. (This title could not be italicized on this platform.)

Be Aware of what you are dealing with…

Be Aware of what you are dealing with before signing up with South Shore Driving Academy.
My child became eligible for a road test at the end of March. We went to South Shore Driving Academy and signed up for and paid for road test on April 4th. We were told it could take 2 weeks to get a date and would receive an e-mail 2 weeks before scheduled date. We explained we needed the road test before May 13th. We gave some dates which we were not available, the 5th, 4 days community service out of state thru our church, a Saturday morning at end of month and a Saturday and Sunday the following week. I waited 3 weeks to call to the day, the 25th, they had not submitted our name yet and that if they submitted it today it would be a 2 week wait to hear from the registry and would be in the next 1 to 2 weeks after that which would put it that’s right after May 13th. I am a single parent with I only used the service because I don’t have a vehicle that would be acceptable for a road test. I called a few friends got one who let us borrow their car and scheduled a test on Monday the 29th. I called and asked about getting a refund for the $150.00 fee and they refused to refund it and kept referring to our contract. Keep in mind this is separate from the driving classes which were already done and paid for and they, by their own admission had not submitted any paperwork to the registry therefore done nothing to earn my money. A simple signature on a check and a walk to the trash with the unused paperwork would have rectified the problem. I am sorry they said and kept repeatedly saying contract, read your contract, your contract, read your contract. Well when a person employed by you verbally states you will be tested by a certain date that also is a contract and even though I don’t have that in writing a good business would stand behind that statement and if it couldn’t do what their employee agreed to as in this case they should refund your money. Guess that sums it up if they were a good Business I wouldn’t be writing this. THEY DID NOT ONE SPEC OF WORK TO JUSTIFY KEEPING MY MONEY VERY, VERY UNSCRUPULUS BUSINESS PRACTICE.

scammers

Yeah, as it was stated in other reviews, they are scammers. I created my listing manually, now they ask for money to claim my listing, so that I can update my address. When I submit an address change, it is written "we will review the change, blah-blah", but it never really happens.

FOURSQUARE BREACHES PRIVACY LAWS

Our business listing was created without our permission and without advising us and also with the incorrect details. They have listed my private residential address for everyone to see and not my business address. I'm not sure how they even accessed this information. I have written to them and basically I have to pay them to edit my business information and so far are refusing to remove it even though it's a breach of my privacy. This company is a disgrace!

Four square, dodgy, blackmail & no service.

Four square allowed a creepy looking picture of a guy to be put on our business listing they created without our permission and without advising us. They refuse to answer any e-mails and basically black mail you to sign up and PAYING to claim the listing.
As they refuse to reply to any contacts, so we have no idea if we could remove it even if we payed the “blackmail” money to claim our business. Very bad company. Doubt they'll even care or reply to this review.

Good luck getting away - if somebody used your email to sign up

One day I looked in my email inbox and saw an email from Foursquare. This was strange, as I never signed up. Apparently somebody else used my email to sign up. This is of course not Foursquares fault, but they should have set up an email check, sending an email to the address with an email confirmation link.

I write Foursquare, asking them to remove my email from there system. They then send me an email with a link to an unsubscribe page (not really what I asked for).

I then write them, that I found that link, but the buttons do not work (there are two buttons on the page you are taking to); furthermore, I do not want to unsubscribe, I want them to remove me from there system. Apparently they misunderstand the part of the buttons not working, and write to me, that the link should work, and then send me a picture of the buttons: "It should look like this".

I then write, that it is the buttons shown on the picture which do not work, but non the less, this do not alter, that I want them to completely remove me from their system. Their reply: "...login to your account via the computer and... Uncheck all boxes that do not apply."

Here I am pretty amazed. It seems that they have not understood, that the account is not mine; if it was mine, I would of course have logged in and unsubscribed/deleted my account.

I then write them: "I hope you see the irony in this", again asking them to remove my email from their database.

Their reply:
"We're sorry for the confusion. However, I looked into our database and found this profile with your email: ~LINK~".
I think:
"Fine, delete the account."
Their email continues:
"Unfortunately, we cannot delete user accounts. To delete your account, please follow these steps on a computer", and then a step by step to delete "my" account.
I think:
"Your account? Have they not understood what I just wrote, this is not my account."

I then go to their page, "try" to log in with my email, ask for a "forgot password" recovery email. Set the password to something arbitrary, log in, and delete the account.

I hope I am not breaking any law doing so.

Must love for a checkin

I love being able to check in. I find Foursquare very easy to use, and provides me suggestions, and feels like it knows me each time I use it. It makes recommendations, provides badges, and makes you feel good about going out. Have found it useful, and valuable. It's improved so much over the past few years.
