Foxtons were eager to get the property up for sale. After that communication and feedback were poor

This review is for Foxtons in Notting Hill, specifically for Francesca G.
Francesca managed the sale of an apartment in Bayswater with exceptional professionalism.
She consistently brought well matched buyers, kept me updated throughout, and provided rare continuity from start to finish.
Her manner is polite, reliable, market savvy, and confidently purposeful.
Thank you Francesca, for the excellent service.
Based on my experience, I would gladly recommend Francesca and the Foxtons Notting Hill office.
Highly Recommend and They Really Get The Job Done
After an unsuccessful experience with another estate agent, we decided to give Foxtons a try, following a letter Liz at the Brixton branch. One of the standout benefits is that while you work closely with one branch, your property is also promoted across neighbouring areas, widening the reach. In our case, it was the team in Streatham who introduced the eventual buyer, with Kevin providing valuable support through to the completion of the sale.
Complicated transaction well managed
We recently completed a particularly complex property transaction, and I can honestly say we could not have done it without the outstanding support of this estate agent.
From the outset, this was far from a straightforward sale. There were multiple parties involved, including the buyer, the buyer’s solicitor, a freeholder’s property management company, and my own solicitor. The legal aspects were complicated and at times slow-moving, with various queries and conditions that needed careful handling. Throughout the entire process the estate agents, specifically Gabor Szucsik and Rebecca Egbers, remained calm, professional and proactive.
What really stood out was their ability to coordinate between all parties. They kept communication flowing, followed up persistently (but respectfully), and ensured that issues did not get lost in the system.
They were often the central point holding everything together, clarifying misunderstandings and keeping momentum going when things could easily have stalled.
They demonstrated real patience, strong negotiation skills, and a thorough understanding of the conveyancing process. I always felt informed and supported, and they were quick to respond to emails and calls, which made a stressful situation far more manageable.
If you are looking for an estate agent who goes beyond simply marketing a property and genuinely works to see a complex transaction through to completion, I would highly recommend them. Their professionalism and dedication made all the difference.

Travelled an hour to go to a viewing and spent £5 on the train getting there and they cancelled when I was at the door
Flat hunting in Kingston upon Thames.
I recently had a viewing tour with Foxtons property consultant ,Rachel Ng and I was most impressed with her knowledge about flats and her professional expertise .She was very helpful and friendly too.
Excellent agent, excellent process
I made a phone inquiry on a Saturday morning related to a newly listed property. A lovely Foxtons agent, Mr. Manfredi Scarfi, responded and instantly arranged a viewing on the same day. He provided all the relevant information and very constructive advices on current rental market in London, helping me to independently make the right decision. He was kind, professional, with a smile. On Monday, the property securing process began and ended successfully.
Bad agency , bad landlord, stay away
Very very disappointed and let down by this agency not sure why they have so many branches. This is our first rental by all young individuals and teenager, it has gone horribly wrong.
From signing our tenancy, the process was very rushed. Since moving in , we have been here less than 4/ 5 months in October , we had a broken dishwasher, broke toilet, broken cooking hob, mouldy bathroom. No checks were done prior moving in so nothing was updated or refurbished. Now in February we are experiencing extreme mould which is making us sick. We have had little to no help from this agency as they claimed “it’s the landlords responsibility” and I don’t even know where they found this landlord.
We haven’t been taken seriously and disgusted in how this is how our first tenancy has gone. We will forever have no excitement in renting
Don't pick the management service
The management service for landlords is not worth the price at all. Foxtons' appointed service providers are more expensive than the market prices. The terms and conditions are not clear that the service is for a minimum of 12 months, even if you're dissatisfied with the service.

Tajammul Hussain has helped me so much regarding renting out my property. He's very professional and passionate, responds quickly and is always patient to answer my questions, and has made me feel very reassured, as this is my first time being a landlord.

Live below a “managed” property by Foxtons, reported a leak 27/01/2026, guy came out put a bucket below and told tenant to use tea towels! Chased again today 04/02/2026 , oh waiting on money from landlord! Leak getting worse, sent more photos, oh we can’t get hold of landlord, so…… nothing we can do!
Small burger expensive
Got 16 quid burger that was supposed 2 be 3 ounce burger's looked like a happy meal. double burger McDonald's . Never moaned at the time
Spam Spam and More Spam
I have made one enquiry about a flat seen on Right Move and now get bombarded with junk emails from Foxtons. I intend to report them to the ICO as the have no unsubscribe button. This estate agent shouldn’t be operating - and according to Reddit - all positive reviews on this site are written by Foxton employees! Disgusting company
Amazing Customer Service
From our initial positive meeting with Alex Andreae to then dealing Lavinia Giungi I have found the team at Foxtons to be professional and caring. Lavinia has been exceptional through the whole process. She is a super responsive, polite, kind, knowledgeable, efficient, always available, even on her days off. There has been nothing that she hasn’t been able to answer, solve or come up with a creative work around. Without Lavinia supporting us each step of the way we wouldn’t be completing on our new home. We can’t thank her enough she’s amazing. I would highly recommend working with her and Foxtons. You’re in a safe pair of hands. Thank you so much Lavinia.
Not the best experience with Chiswick…
Not the best experience with Chiswick branch with Narean and the manager andrew.
Dee - my property manager for many…
Dee (Foxtons) was my property manager for many years. Dee is so experienced, efficient, forthcoming, engaging and helpful. She is skilful and proficient in dealing with challenging situation resulting in successful claims against a difficult tenant. I wish I can get another property manager like Dee. Dee's professionalism and capability are exceptional and standout among the rest.
One of the worst property management…
One of the worst property management experiences I’ve had.
Foxtons were aware for months that a tenancy no longer reflected the actual occupation of the property, yet failed to take meaningful action to resolve it. Despite repeated contact, the situation was allowed to drift, leaving a former tenant exposed to ongoing legal liability due solely to Foxtons’ delay and lack of competence.
Communication was poor, escalation was resisted, and responsibility was repeatedly avoided. The approach felt driven by convenience rather than duty of care or proper tenancy management.
This situation should never have been allowed to continue for as long as it did. I would not recommend Foxtons to anyone who values professionalism, accountability, or basic efficiency.

I strongly caution anyone dealing with Foxtons, Worse agents ever. I would give 0 stars if the system allowed it. Foxtons operates on a model of misleading tenants and trapping them in "illegal" fees The real estate company that has been looking after my house for over 5 years has transferred ownership of my house to this company, and they are forcing me to sign an illegal agreement. Be careful do not sign what they prepared check properly.
Got bombarded with calls and messages
I reacted to a listing on Rightmove and got absolutely bombarded with calls, WhatsApp messages and emails. It was horrible. They started calling at 8 am every day, different people from different numbers, even after I said I’m no longer interested and blocked their main number. This continued for a few days. I asked two of the agents on WhatsApp to stop this and erase my data. One of them reacted and acknowledged my request. I still continued getting automatic emails, even unsubscribing didn’t help.
If I ever see a listing under Foxtons, I won’t react to it no matter how good it will be.
Absolute disgrace of an agency
Absolute disgrace of an agency. I would give 0 stars if the system allowed it. Foxtons operates on a model of misleading tenants and trapping them in "illegal" fees.
Misleading: They lied to us in writing that our funds were "fully refundable."
Theft: They took over £2,400 from us under false pretences and are now refusing to return it, breaching the Tenant Fees Act cap.
Ghosting: They pester you non-stop to get the payment, but once they have your cash, they vanish and ignore your complaints. We are now forcing a legal escalation through Trading Standards and the Ombudsman to get our money back. Do not use this company. They cannot be trusted.
Worse agency ever
Worse agency ever. They promised me a flat and said it was accepted only to bail out last minute because I didn’t pay 6 months upfront
After that they ignored me and promised 5 times to help me find a new place
