The standard of food and service was first class.

First time with Fred Olsen, and it definitely won’t be our last. From the start of the holiday, the slick customer service was visibly impressive.
The staff were quite amazing, and what was lovely was the interaction with staff to those returning for the umpteenth time. I have already recommended this company to friends and family.

I couldn’t fault it in any way. A wonderful group of people looking after us, excellent food, and the beautiful Borealis taking us safely to our destinations.

Friendly helpful staff every area. Everything kept clean and sanitised. Amazing shows. Problem sleeping due to a constant tapping noise. Next time will choose a higher deck.

Everything on the ship was first class and would certainly book another cruise which incidenty I have just done for next year.
The only disappointment were the off ship tours which basically were very over priced for what they were.

Exceptionally welcoming staff across departments. Nothing to much trouble.
Our cabin cleanliness was to a very high standard.
Kadek and Christian in the Aurora restaurant made us feel relaxed and good fun.

First cruise with Fred Olsen but not the last.

All the crew were very frindly and were very attentive .

The only thing that let the holiday down was the disembarkation of Assisted Passengers I was advised by guest Services to take my husband and another lady at 7.30 as we were a group disembarkation , as they weren’t taken they decided to manage themselves at 8.20 with great difficulty,
This helped as our coach was waiting for them , this happened before on the Norway cruise with some of the assisted passengers holding up the coach transport
I think the system probably needs a re visit
As the lady working on the port said they were slow compared to the other company the ships use .
I have no experience of this procedure but maybe group passengers could be taken off earlier to ease the system ,
Apart from this the cruise and all staff were amazing.

Fantastic cruise with lovely staff everywhere on the ship, including housekeeping, waiting staff and entertainers! I’ve only taken a star off because our particular cabin was very noisy when the ship docked. We would cruise with Fred. Olsen again. Thanks for a wonderful holiday.

Really enjoyed my time on the Borealis from the smooth boarding to the even smoother disembarkation. The staff were very friendly, helpful and professional. I would like to mention Neil who give great wine and whiskey tasting sessions, his knowledge was exceptional and was his humour. Food on board was very good and varied. Akshata kept my cabin very clean and neat and was always there when I needed something. Always serving with a warm smile.
All in all a great journey with all my needs met.

As a disabled lady, celebrating my 70th birthday, on Borealis, on my 60th Cruise, felt like a completely normal person, and I'm already looking forward to my B2B on Balmoral, in December 2026.

The crew are very helpful and the chef was excellent. A very friendly ship from the Captain downwards. An excellent example of people of all faiths and nationality working together.

All the staff were kind and courteous, nothing was too much trouble for them.

All the places we visited were as described. The trips were all well ogranised and the tender was well handled when going ashore.

Some of the organised trips were a little expensive compared to other cruise lines of the same calibre as yourselves.

On board we dined in the main restaurant, table 54. Our waiters, Marvin and Avraham were a delight, nothing was too much trouble for them, they were outstanding and a great credit to your cruise line.

It was a pleasure to travel with Fred Olsen but it is also a pleasure to deal with your on shore staff also.
We always go to your Chrischurch offiice where we have always been greeted with courtesy and kindness. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff there. Alison Christchruch is a pleasure to deal with as are the rest of the staff and we are lucky to have them as our permanent travel agents.

A really great trip.The staff were amazing and couldn't do enough for you.The meals were lovely with a wide choice to suit all tastes. A good choice of activities.

The whole experience on Fred Olsen Borealis Ship was amazing from beginning to end. It was the first time we had cruised with Fred Olsen and we will definitely be cruising with them again.
All the crew members were attentive, polite, very helpful and nothing was too much trouble. We were well looked after.
So much to do on board in the day and evening. The entertainment was great. In the theatre, it was like you were sitting on your own sofas. So comfortable and you also had tables for your drinks.
The food was excellent.
The tips were included in the price of the cruise, but if wanted to give extra tips to the people you wanted to, you had to ask for them from Customer Service. The envelopes weren’t left in the cabin so you didn’t feel pressured to give.
All in all, a brilliant experience.

I’m not good with computers but I managed to book my cruise online! That goes to show how well the web-site has been designed for reluctant technophobes.
This was my second cruise; I went in my first cruise ever only 2 weeks ago and it was such a completely wonderful experience from start to finish that I’ve booked a mini-cruise before Christmas!!

Fred Olsen Cruise Lines have crew that really do make sure you have a wonderful cruise , whatever the destination. The weather was cold , wet and windy. But every time we came back on board the welcome on board was warm and sunny …so many smiles, so many times I was told ‘your welcome’ in the happiest voices .

Friendly staff always willing to help Resturants food exellant .Enretainment exellant the shows cast always sang and acted to a very high level .The Crew show was lovely to see how they performed .Time off the ship was enjoyable .My 1st cruise .Thank you .
