Still waiting for delivery. Five months. £1600.
£1600 sofabed too big to get into my house (bungalow, semi detached), London friend will take it, but after many voicemails delivery still not arranged.
Great salesmanship, not so great after sales. Will adjust review when we get a resolution.
Not inclined to shop there again.

Disappointing experience – unclear cancellation terms and pressure to buy insurance
I’m extremely disappointed with my experience with Furniture Village.
I placed my sofa order over the telephone, rather than in store. During the call, I felt under considerable pressure to take out an additional care/insurance product costing around £80. I was not given a clear explanation of the cancellation terms or told that cancelling the sofa could result in a 25% cancellation charge.
When I subsequently needed to cancel the order due to a change in my family’s circumstances, I was told that Furniture Village would charge me 25% of the sofa price.
What I find particularly frustrating is that the cancellation terms were not explained to me when the order was placed. I was subsequently sent the terms and conditions only after raising the issue.
Furniture Village’s website also gives the impression that customers can cancel an order, yet when I tried to do so I was told that a 25% charge would apply.
I have asked Furniture Village to explain exactly which terms apply to my telephone order, when those terms were provided to me, why the sofa is being classified as “bespoke” when I simply selected a colour from the available options, and what information I was given about the 25% cancellation charge before placing the order.
So far, I don’t feel that those concerns have been properly addressed.
I appreciate that businesses need to protect themselves against genuine costs, but customers should be given clear and transparent information about cancellation charges and additional products before committing to a purchase.
At this stage, my experience has left me feeling that the sales process was much more focused on securing the sale than ensuring I fully understood the terms I was agreeing to.
Update:
After sending numerous emails including how I cancelled within the 14 day period and addressing it to Kieran (below) I am now being ignored. Instead of giving me a refund which I believe I am entitled to, they are now just ignoring me

Trip to Furniture Village
The sales person we dealt with was both friendly and extremely helpful a pleasure to deal with
Buying our Dining Table & chairs
Right from the start when visiting the shop in Hove and placing the order with James Head we found the staff helpful and accommodating.
We received our order confirmation and arranged a mutual agreed delivery date.
When the two guys John and Rich delivered our table & chairs on the day they were polite, helpful and spent time carefully ensuring everything was carried out correctly for us. The only slight comment i would make and the reason i did not give 5 stars to the whole process was that there was no after care cleaning and operating instructions left for us.Otherwise it was a flawless experience and we will return to Furniture Village.
Found a lovely sofa in clearance
Found a lovely sofa in clearance. The sales team provided exceptional service. Managed to get 10 per cent of clearance price, next day delivery and old sofa taken away. Made my mum very happy.

Gabriel was exceptionally helpful and pleasant. He assisted me in making the best unhurried choice for my needs. He was never pushy, but just offered sound and practical advice, which I appreciated. I would recommend him, and Furniture Village, and will be returning soon.
The service started well but gone downhill since.
When we went to the store we had good service from the sales person. He was very helpful .
However since the order was made the service has not been so good .
There was an error made on the initial agreement that we signed in the store . The error was picked up by myself before we left the store . The order was amended by the sales person but on a separate piece of paper which I was asked to sign . I did that . I was then told I would receive a confirmation email of the change of size of the sofa . We never received an email and that is more than a week ago. However I managed to locate my order on the website and it showed the amendment had been made . But the price had not been amended . It should be £100 less . So last week I compiled an email to the store (as you cannot get through to them on the phone and no one calls you back when you leave a message). Not great service there. I did however receive a phone call last Friday from a gentleman but it was at a really inconvenient time . So I asked him could he call me back in 10 minutes. He never did and now it is Monday afternoon and I am still waiting . Sadly I didn’t get a name. I checked in the system this morning and the monies has still not been amended . It started well with Furniture Village but has gone down here since . Let’s hope he don’t have issues with our furniture when it gets delivered.

Fabulous service and experience today
Really great service today, staff are super helpful without being too much and the showroom had a light, airy and high-spec feel to it. Todd was especially helpful, he was warm, friendly, knowledgeable and professional. He spent time with Mum and I and made sure we had all the time and information we needed to make our decision.
