Went to the Crawley store by the retail park. Awful service. slow. rude staff. Wasn’t even busy and I was waiting over 30 minutes for a small order for two people!!! Had to get a later train!!! Staff didn’t acknowledge me or even smile. They totally ignored another customer when they were actively talking to them at the desk!! So slow.

Ordered at 7:15 on a Friday evening. Email received and text noting a delivery time of 7:40. This was repeatedly pushed back and our order was delivered at 9:08. Food was cold and the order was incomplete. Was told in a communication from GDK that my order was being delivered by Bycicle yet the chap who turned up was in a car. Strongly suggests that orders are being accepted, fir delivery by drivers and then passed on! Very poor experience with GDK and very unlikely I will order again.
I would give a big thumbs up to Uber who I complained to as that is the only contact detail given in the order confirmation email. They took time to investigate and agreed to credit the order.
Sent me to A and E for food poisoning
Sent me to A and E for food poisoning. Was the worst experience. I'm still recovering. Don't think the mixed meat was cooked properly. I felt cold. Even with full heating I could feel my skin get warmer, but inside me, my blood was cold. Could not warm up. Then I felt dizzy and felt sick. threw up at 2am.
Now I'm suffering with the worst headache I've ever had, haven't eaten since.
Will never go to GDK for the rest of my life.

I would give zero if I could, I might as well have cooked. They missed half the order and clearly have no idea how to put food in a bag. Utterly useless and won’t be ordering again. Terrible service and waste of a take away, not a treat, just a disappointment.

Not like the normal greasy kebabs from the normal kebab shops.
This food was beautiful.
The staff were very friendly and welcoming.

Be careful !!! they're selling spoiled kebabs in Milton Keynes, supposedly on sale. Upon opening, there's an incredible stench of stinking vegetables and carrion. These kebabs are dangerous to your health. I've reported the matter to the Environmental Health Officers.

Brilliant customer service, awful vegetarian changes
Went to GDK in Nottingham today and got my usual vegetarian Kebab but I didn't know they'd gotten rid of the vegetable patty and replaced it with a "fake donner meat" which was horrendous. I was so upset because not only it tasted awful and had the same texture of meat, I thought I'd wasted a big chunk of the money spent. However, a wonderful guy there, also a vegetarian understood totally and sorted me out with a better replacement without the stuff. I was really worried I was being a pain and making a fuss but he was so caring and kind. Couldn't fault the service. Wish I'd gotten his name because he was absolutely wonderful and I really want this feedback to get back to him about how lovely he was. I just wish they still had the patty because not all vegetarians want a meat substitute! Giving 5 stars because the service was absolutely excellent and I thought I'd not be able to eat there again because of the changes but he showed me a much better way to have with the salad and chips crammed in so I can happily go back to my fave place

GDK responsible for shoddy delivery practices
I placed on order with German Donor Kebab (GDK) at 7.27pm (order number 800117537). Using the app I saw that delivery would be made within 20-25 mins. Which I thought was excellent, as I had been travelling for 5 hours and was very hungry. However, after 20 mins the app updated with a new time, which extended the delivery window by 30 mins. At this stage I thought “no biggie” as a 45 - 60 min wait for a food delivery (especially on a Friday night) is pretty much the norm. However, the app kept updating, with the time increasing.
Eventually, the app showed that the delivery was with the driver and that he had a few other stops to make on this run. I keep checking the app to see where he was. Imagine my anger when, at around 9pm, an hour and a half after I had placed the order, I see that the driver seems to have returned to the restaurant.
I messaged the driver on the app and got no response. I tried to cancel the order, but the app didn’t show that option. Finally I rang GDK directly to find out what was going on. They said the Just-Eat app was experiencing some technical difficulties (I am amazed at how often the app experiences difficulties as this is not the first time I have had that excuse). GDK also stated they couldn’t get in touch with the driver, as he worked for Just-Eat.
I explained that I have tried contacting Just-Eat about this matter. But the automated service and set-up of their app and website is done in such a way to prohibit direct contact with angry customers. GDK asked for my order number and stated they had given it to the delivery driver. However, if I come down to the restaurant, they will give me a fresh order.
45 mins later, I was back home, heating up my now cold order, in the microwave so I could have something to eat before I went to bed. Almost 3 hours after I originally placed my order.
Both over the phone and when I went into the restaurant, the person I spoke to kept apologising and stating the issue was not their fault - it’s a problem with Just-Eat system or Just-Eat driver etc etc. However, as a business it was GDK’s decision to partner with Just-Eat to make their deliveries. No-one forced them to. Therefore, when Just-Eat mess up, the responsibility is as much GDK’s fault as it is down the appalling service from Just-Eat.
I have decided to never use Just-Eat again when ordering food. And fortunately, I won’t have to. As in my city there are a lot of places that use Deliveroo. I have never had an issue when using Deliveroo. And, as it turns out, the business that use Deliveroo are actually nicer/better quality food places.
That being said, despite switching to use Deliveroo, I probably won’t ever order from GDK again. I shouldn’t have had to wait almost 3 hours for my order, only getting the food I paid for by walking (in the rain) to the restaurant and back again.
