Old age pensioner deceived

I’m an old age pensioner in my 80s and I have just realised after a few months that the chap I dealt with has put me into another contract without my knowledge. I was paying £8 a month and now I am paying £15, I was told I needed to change and upgrade as it was wrong but my son has just informed me that I could’ve stayed with three and paid the £8 I was always paying. I only went in because I was receiving so many calls from their call centre, if it wasn’t calls I was getting messages and it was becoming overwhelming for a woman of my age. Be careful what you sign in future because they don’t explain what contract you’re getting into. It’s not just about the money it’s also not nice being deceived.

This company has a 'help everyone'…

This company has a 'help everyone' policy, everything is carefully explained without being patronising, we are not all tech wizards!! Josh has just sorted out a new phone for me, transferred everything over including photos etc. All I had to do was put it on charge. How simple is that? He offers free advice and tech support, why go anywhere else?

Great place to get a contact

I went into the Port Talbot store today and I had an amazing experince with Lauren. I went in as my business contract was due to expire. We explored my options and found that a personal line would be cheaper than a business line so I went forward with it. Lauren gave excelent customer service and communicated really well. I couldn't have asked for better.

Changed mobile phone contract

I wanted to change my mobile phone contract and had used Abergavenny Get Connected previously. Robert was the employee working today. What an asset to the firm. He was knowledgeable, kind and extremely helpful. Every question that I asked he patiently answered and was able to direct me to a new contract which was far more affordable. Truly amazing customer service and a real gem.Very professional and had the time to explain everything that I needed to know. I will definitely return for further phone enquires and would highly recommend this business.

Went into the Tewkesbury store as…

Went into the Tewkesbury store as upgrade was up for renewal,met Alex who was very helpful and friendly explaining everything clearly and transfered all my info and photos from old phone to the new phone making it a easy carefree experiance .Highly reccomend to use this store the very best of customer service rated excellent thankyou.

Jordan at Whitchurch Branch

Jordan at the Whitchurch, Cardiff branch was very helpful and patient while sorting a new phone for my daughter and sorting password issues for me. Was nice to get such warm and friendly service at a time when it's hard to get through to anyone on the phone! Thanks Jordan.

Went to into the Ledbury store where I…

Went to into the Ledbury store where I was greeted by Callum Bruce, top man and great service. Sorted me a great deal on a new phone. Strongly advise anyone to go and see him. Helped me transfer all data from old phone onto my new one. Greatly appreciated.

I Went into connect store in ebbwvale…

I Went into connect store in ebbwvale where James was at the door welcoming me. James was very polite and welcoming and I felt very relaxed almost right away. Normally I would get nervous going to there’s type of shops but I felt like I known him years just after 5 minutes of chatting about the problem I had. James helped me find a new contact that was right in my price range and gave more than I was looking for. The service I had from James was more than I’ve had before from any other phone shops, James also helped me set up my new phone and said that if there’s anything missed was any issues to come back and see him at any point. Thanks James for making my experience easy

Avoid this company

I visited the Abadare store today and was in the process of taking out a phone contract. During the process, I noticed they never mentioned that the contract only included 3G and 4G coverage, with no 5G available. As soon as I saw the contract details in the email, I immediately questioned it because 5G coverage is important to me.

The salesman told me there was no 5G coverage in my area, which is simply not true, as I am currently with EE and already receive 5G coverage where I live.

At that point, halfway through the process, I clearly stated that I had changed my mind and no longer wanted the contract. I had not signed any paperwork or physical documents, yet I was told the contract had already been “sold” and was basically forced into continuing. I left both the SIM card and the phone on the counter because I did not want the contract.

I also contacted head office to make a complaint, but instead of dealing with the issue properly, they transferred me straight back to the same store and the same employee involved in the situation.

Very disappointed with the experience and the misleading information provided. I could have received a far better deal with EE. I would not recommend this store based on my experience.
