If I could give 0 stars I would. There seems to be no end to this. SPUK96419 my husband sent two letters via recorded delivery, you received them and no reply. Last letter was to demand the termination of this contract due to many failures and there is no faith left in your company, and removal of scaffolding that has been here for 2.5 months. No reply
via post, email or phone call! Awful customer service (non existent in fact), they are just ignoring their customers! We have informed our local MP and councillors about this as well as London mayor. This company needs to be investigated and barred from luring new and unsuspecting customers into this shambles, they also have to be forced to fix all the problems they have caused to so many people. I want to know what is being done to end this miserable experience? Our once sunny side of the house has turned to gloomy cave, our small as it is garden is now impossible to enjoy. I demand to know what is being done!
Everyone, for the sake of your sanity, avoid this scheme!
After a week from my last review there has been no action to remove the scaffolding that is still here blocking the sunlight, our local council are investigating what a scam they got their residents to sign up to. Helpful councillors have contacted London Mayor and I hope he will pull the plug on this company soon. Fascinating thing is GET don’t seem to care at all that different authorities are getting involved, like true scammers I guess. Cancellation form was emailed to my husband, he completed it and emailed it back, so it’s very obvious that we will not be requiring this scaffolding any longer but it is still here. Just send someone to remove it, is there anything your company is capable of doing? For over 2.5 months the scaffolding has been here - remove it immediately!
Can I suggest to other victims of GET to contact their councillors and tell them their horror stories so they put pressure on these scammers.
What a dreadful experience... and still continuing.
Again, like others I would give a zero or even minus star rating for this company were it possible.
Detail of my situation is commonly reflected in the reviews of others re communication etc.
I didn't look at Trustpilot before accepting this deal as I too thought if it was in conjunction with the L.A. then it would be OK. The experiences of 2 local friends, who had also signed up made me realise that it was not just me.....
It all started for me in July 21. All went well. The survey seemed fine, so too the price. I agreed to the job. I paid £150 deposit as required by the company. And waited, as they said I needed to.
In March this year my panels and battery should have been fitted.
My appointments for installation have been cancelled 5 times. Excuses have included no scaffold, covid- scaffolders, covid - installers, and 3 other no reason cancellations. Most with less than 24hours notice.
Scaffolding was erected in April ( the first cancellation in March was because the scaffolding had not been fitted in advance of the fitters allegedly arriving the following day).
The scaffolding is still in place, even though I cancelled my contract on the 15th July and for which I have had no formal acknowledgement.
I cancelled because the company had messed me around so much that I had no confidence in their ability to complete or follow through with the job. Like others I was also asked for a 25% deposit to secure a fitting date for the fitting of the panels; this was pre my 4 th appointment. I refused to pay anything further until the job was done.
My trying to contact via phone or email is as reported by others below, and exactly replicates my own experience. One of my local friends has also cancelled. We have both been in contact with local councillors.
The company seemed almost relieved when I cancelled, they certainly didn't try to retain my custom.
I have now got to try to get them to remove the scaffolding.............

Quick & Neat Installation
Signed up via Essex CC Solar Together. Paid £150 deposit and was surveyed 24 June but was told there may be a delay due to component shortages.
But, was given a date of 22 July, I requested a short delay.
Scaffolding went up 26th July, panels and batteries very professionally installed the next day, very neat wiring, up and running by the evening.
Am surprised at the negative reviews.
Only complaint so far is that the charge for bird proofing seems excessive and unjustifiable.
Avoid at all costs
I am giving GET one star as it's not possible to leave no stars. Communication appalling, empty promises, emails ignored, customer service woefully inadequate. Don't bother calling customer service as no-one 'is available' but interestingly, the sales team are apparently all able to pick up the phone. There is no aftercare, even when the system has been faulty from day one.
I strongly suggest to anyone looking to purchase solar panels that they do not even consider these cowboys. SPUK51313.
Richmond council recommended scam
Richmond council recommended scam. 18 months after paying the deposit, they said they won't install the solar panels as it's a flat roof. Promised a refund in April, haven't seen it yet, notwithstanding having escalated to Richmond council as well.

During this week I have left 20 call…
During this week I have left 20 call back messages, various emails and voicemails and not one of these have been responded to. This is absolutely appalling and increasingly frustrating. I cannot believe the Mayor of London has endorsed this company. Again, all I need is the telephone number of the scaffolding company and I will arrange for the scaffolding to be removed from my property. The contract has already been cancelled due to their incompetence. I just want the scaffolding gone!! Spuk90943
Dreadful and Avoid!
Ordered my battery install with Solar together London over a year ago. GET were chosen as installer for my battery. Survey went OK. Date was sent for someone to come and install. No equipment. Installer came and said we need scaffolding to install so had to postpone. Been chasing them for months to decide whether to install scaffolding - OMG months of calls, emails being put on hold for 30 minutes or more trying to speak to someone - dreadful - cold not organise anything. Kept moving my install date due to battery shortage now. Ridiculous. I have now cancelled as completely useless and they cannot even confirm that cancellation properly! I want my deposit back. Avoid at all costs! SPUK102245
Installation good, communication and followthrough appalling
The sales pitch and accompanying brochure was slick and informative and the company were quick to take the 25% deposit. The survey took place quickly but there were then questions from us, in terms of what was required in terms of installation issues.
In reading the reviews below, we experienced the same lack of communication, emails not responded too, long waits to get through to anyone on the 6 options, often cut off and when we did get through to anyone, they usually needed to speak to someone else, who was in a meeting, they would call us back and then never did and then return call option/voicemail messages were not responded too. Perhaps unsurprisingly, complaints about this lack of communication, have never been responded too!
Questions about installation, scaffolding and kit delivery were never adequately addressed, with a day wasted waiting for people to arrive, who never came.
The installers did arrive on the designated date, not sure if the scaffolding was here, which it was..just 30 minutes before! They were great; helpful, informative and appear to have done a good job inside and out.
What we had not been informed of before the installers arrived, was that there would be no battery, despite being sold one in April, within the package. The implication was that there had been no batteries available, for sometime before this.
I wrote to complain about this and what feels like mis-selling and to ask what happens next?
WE have since been sent an email with an invoice, which needs to be settled to receive our Handover pack, with certs and docs required to export electricity, given we cannot now store it. The email suggests the battery will be installed at some later date not specified, no apology. The email and invoice also shows no awareness of any of what has gone before, including our most recent email and Im left wondering who links up anything within this company?
WE await clarification on a number of issues before any final invoice is paid.
Update 7 9 22
Eventually we got a corrected invoice, (with the correct price of battery removed, that was not supplied) which we paid but have now been waiting and waiting for the Commissioning team, whoever they are, no names no designation, for the GET system Handover pack, certs and relevant documentation to register the electricity we've been supplying to the grid since July!
Despite numerous emails to Customer service, the Credit group and more generally GET - nothing has been forthcoming.
Sadly further evidence of an appalling lack of communication and dearth of Customer care

I WOULD NOT USE THIS COMPANY AGAIN
I WOULD NOT USE THIS COMPANY AGAIN
I wish I had checked trustpilot before I arranged for the work, but as it was a scheme through the council I assumed they would have done their due diligence. I am still waiting for my installation to be completed. They take ages to answer the phone, they do not call back or answer emails, just read through some of the other reviews, it speaks for itself.
Company in Chaos
Dreadful service post installation. Installed in March but I still don't have the paperwork I need to sell surplus energy to the grid. Their own industry standard requires the documents to be provided within a few days of installation. Have called them many times but the call centre staff are merely gatekeepers and do nothing. Various promises to phone me back but no calls ever received. The installation itself was chaotic - they came with too little mesh to complete the job and had to come back a week later (so the scaffolding was left up for an extra week). Part of the system was not installed and it took until July for this to be fixed. I will be pursuing this with HIES. They have no effective quality control mechanisms or procedures. I asked them for details of their complaints procedure but received no reply.

Installers and sales people where absolutely great. However it's been 18months and the form needed to sell my electricity back to the grid hasn't been done despite numerous promises it would be via phone. I've sent one final email cc'ing in HIES and will refer to the ombudsman if no resolution in the next 7 days. I'm expecting compensation for 18monthe lost income too. Really let the sales people and installers down, they were great!

I work in the industry - check this review
I work with a lot of installers and these are the worst I have seen.
Aggressive sales tactics, bad installations, constant cancelling of appointments and lying.
I have seen people in tears dealing with these people.
Go for another installer.
Very frustrated, not sure what is happening
Not sure what is happening with this company, poor to no communication, have tried numerous Emails -not answered or generic email sent in response, held on line for over an hour and a half on many occasions. Technical questions remain unanswered, not convinced that the surveyor has done a good job.
Equipment sent with no notification but this does not look correct to what was discussed??
Failed scaffolding installation, no idea when this is meant to be happening now??
Not sure after reading these reviews we will be continuing as our issues are inline/the same as many others on this page.
Unfortunately we have paid the 25%
I would like someone to get in touch and discuss.
Nathan read was communicating but has now stopped, blaming 3rd party scaffolding

Still 7 days later no one has contacted us and still unable to get hold of anyone
Green Energy Together have postponed my…
Green Energy Together have postponed my installation four times. I now believe it will not happen. They asked for a 25% deposit to guarantee the next installation date. I paid this money but now that date has been cancelled as well. I would like my deposit back but they are not contactable. It looks like they are reading these posts so could somebody please contact me. SPUK89782
Warning: do not go near this company.
Warning: do not engage with this company.
- ‘call centre’ phones are not answered
- surveying is slapdash
- products delivered without notice, and the wrong ones at that
- demands for payment without doing/finishing the job
- endless delays
- repeated no shows on planned installation days
- incompetent staff in all depts
-faulty kit
- and on and on.
And they don’t have batteries.
There seems no end to this saga. I am exhausted and would give them negative stars if possible.

Awful to deal with and time wasters.
We have wasted months trying to work with GET, trying to have a basic solar panel and battery system installed. Contacting them by phone is very, very difficult and emails are just not replied to. The people at the 'customer service' number have to constantly refer things back to head office, who then never contacted me, despite being advised they would do so several times.
The only time anyone actually made contact was to get a 25% deposit before they would confirm an installation date. Even though I already had a confirmed installation, which was now not available, and that this deposit is not mentioned anywhere in the terms and conditions of our contract.
I genuinely doubt their current financial position is strong and in the end we were so fed up we have just stopped trying to have them install our system.
If they are so awful before the installation, I can see why so many people in these reviews have had so much trouble post installation.
They kept contacting me to pay a deposit, even though I had told them a few times I was sick in bed with Covid, but they just kept at it. Truly high pressure sales. While I was sick they kept telling me I had to pay 25% by 4pm that day to keep scaffolding and installation dates. That was the first day I'd actually been given an updated price as VAT was no longer applied.
SPUK67652
My response to the reply from the unnamed company representative.
Please show me where in the contract we were provided, any mention of a 25% deposit to book an installation? I had already booked in one date before we were contacted and told that date was no longer available and we now needed to pay 25% upfront.
I had made it very clear to your agents that I was coordinating small roof repairs before the panels went up. Your company agreed for me to book the scaffolding in on a certain date a week earlier than normal for this purpose - providing I paid 25% deposit. At what point were you intending to mention the H&S issue to us? I assume after you had our money.
You say someone was going to contact us the day you wrote your reply. No one has.
You truly are an awful company to deal with and I will be reporting you to Trading Standards.

Update 16.9.22 AVOID THIS COMPANY SPUK208281
Edited 17/9/22
Despite formally cancelling my order in July and Solar Together Cambridgeshire confirming this week my order is cancelled I have had two emails this week. One from GET and one from their Credit Control Team asking for my deposit. This is despite sending four emails with the cancellation form on (not needed according to the contract terms) and sending them the email from Solar Together Cambridgeshire. Seems somewhat harassing and almost trying to make me feel obliged to pay.

Applied through Solar Together with Huntingdon District Council. After accepting the deal with GET had no contact after paying deposit. Had to chase for survey via email and still no response to emails or promised telephone callbacks. Spent over an hour to get a call answered. Surveyor came and to be honest was clueless. No idea re electric routing and wanted to charge extra for bird netting and for having slate tiles (they are concrete so shouldn’t be an extra charge). No reply for last week to emails and calls made. Reported concerns to the district council around their due diligence and emailed GET to say wont be progressing. Expect we won’t hear back and if we don’t pay deposit in a fortnight then contract is cancelled anyway.

HEIS DEPOSIT FRAUD
I'm updating my post below because GET-UK replied to me here - but has not replied by phone or email to me! They say that "I did pay an installation booking fee of 25%" - they don't acknowledge that I shouldn't have paid this as a 2021 customer (as there was no booking fee in that contract). When they took my money the referred to it as a deposit - not a fee - and told me the deposit was protected by HEIS. They also say my cancellation is being actioned - I have heard nothing from them 6 weeks later. They then say that the HEIS insurance backed warranty is only valid if the installation is completed. If you call HEIS they say that the contract should be registered within 24 hours of being signed. I contacted Solar Together London and they told me that GET-UK say they took my deposit "in error". An error they have not reversed nearly 3 months later.
SPUK93072. Has anyone got their "HEIS' deposit back yet? On taking my 25% deposit GET told me that this was a HEIS protected deposit. I have just contacted HEIS - of which GET is a member. HOWEVER GET HAS NEVER REGISTERED MY CONTRACT and has NOT REGISTERED THAT THEY HAVE TAKEN A DEPOSIT FROM ME. I suspect that this company is trading insolvently and has been stealing money from us by claiming that the payments that we have made are insured. I have made a formal complaint to HEIS and if I don't here from GET UK today I will instruct a solicitor.

Shamful company, poor communications, very arrogant but very quick on taking the money without doing the job
SPUK 102725
They kept cancelling my installation appointments multiple times, and sometimes they didn’t even warned me that they were not coming. They put up the scaffoldings even without doing the job and wanted us to pay for it and keep them up until god knows when the job was going to be done.
Very difficult to get hold of them and, when I managed, I dealt with a very arrogant manager.
As for today, they are now refusing to pay our full deposit back as they want to charge us for the scaffoldings. GET asked the scaffolding company to put them up with the panels not even being delivered from Europe. This is another breaching in the contract that said that the scaffolding were staying up for a total of 10days max.
When I point out this, I stop receiving replies from GET.
I have informed the London Mayor as they initially were promoting GET and they will investigate. I informed the Consumer advice.gov.Uk and they told me there is definitely a breach of contract from their side, so I’m now starting the process to take them to court.
Update 5/8/22: I finally received the refund for my deposit after submitting the cancellation form 3 times, but I also received an invoice of £900 for the scaffoldings that GET (not me) organised to be erected erroneously.
I sent about 3-4 emails about this since the 7th of July to GET but no reply, just the invoice.. let’s see then, I started the Court process just in case they pursue the scaffolding cost..

Avoid, avoid, avoid and then AVOID again. Quite easily the worst company to do non business with. Despite having the interior fit done in May they have never returned to complete the job despite booking in. I’m storing all the equipment here so just need the job finishing.
