Potential Fraudulent Behaviour?
I have been trying to get hold of the company for a number of weeks via phone (no joy) and e-mail (1 response but not answering the question I posed).
Subsequent follow up mails this week have resulted in undeliverable messages which would appear to mean that their e-mail server is no longer operational.
When trying to access their website it appears that this is no longer operational either. I have absolutely no idea of how I can contact these people and they still have my deposit for a battery to be installed, which I have been waiting for since last October (2022).
On trying to get a quote for an independent 3rd party to install a battery to my installed system, it appears that the hardware installed is not compatible with having a battery attached. Without additional hardware being installed, at extra cost I can't hook up a battery. Quite how it can be concluded that what I signed up for and paid for has been delivered is beyond me. I think that this would be classified as fraudulent behaviour and I would be eager to join in legal action against this provider
A Complete Waste of Time
After a London Mayor promotion campaign I signed up to a contract with Green Energy Together/Solar Together in Mar 21 for a solar panel installation. The company claimed to have all who had signed up to have their installations completed by Oct 21. After some initial promising contact and paying a £150 deposit progress was erratic to say the least. It took months to get a survey done and then only after several contacts with the company. An installation date was eventually set for early Apr 22 - more than a year after the initial contract. Unfortunately my wife was due to go into hospital on the installation date and when I requested a delay of one day was informed that this was not possible and that I would need to book another date. The earliest they could offer was early Jul 22. In mid Jun 22, while I was out of the country, the company called me to try and bring the installation date forward. I emailed them indicating that this was not possible as I would not be returning to the UK until a few days before the planned date and that I expected that date to be honoured. The due date came and went with no sign of any installation. Despite many emails/phone calls I had no explanation for the missed date from the company. In desperation in late 22, as the company had failed to complete the agreed installation in a timely fashion I eventually requested a refund of my deposit. The company’s response was that as I had cancelled the contract I was not entitled to a refund. I threaten to take the company to the small claims court but eventually decided that the effort was not worth my time and energy.
This company failed abysmally to complete their agreed contract in a timely fashion and communication was almost impossible with phone calls and emails ignored or holding responses.
GET UK need to be sued.
Signed up April 2021. Now May 2023 and no panels. The company were a shambles to deal with from the beginning. The surveyor didn't know what he was doing. We had to have 6 versions of our quote because they were so incompetent there were errors in it each time, or the proposals were simply always for the most number of panels, regardless of whether they were shaded or not. They just wanted to make money from selling more panels, and did not care that we would not get use from them. We had about 5 installations dates, none of which they turned up for, or apologised for. At one point they even tried telling us we (erroneously) needed to pay a deposit, whereas luckily I knew as we had signed up in April 2021 not 2022 this did not apply to us, so I refused. None of the staff knew what was going on. They were always polite mind, but were totally incompetent. They promised to call me back, but NEVER EVER did. And everytime I called, I was on hold for about 45 minutes before getting through to anyone. A disgrace of a company. I hope they get sued.
Didn't turn up 4 times, no longer licensed to the work. Sticky fingered my deposit.
GET UK failed to turn up 4 times over 6 months. The range of excuses was they couldn't get the components, couldn't get the scaffold and then lost their certifications. I registered for this scheme in May 2021 and still have nothing to show for it other than being out of pocket for a large sum of money.
I cancelled the contract on 21 April they've failed to return my deposit in the specified 14 days.
I'm really concerned that they are close to insolvency as they can no longer earn income by doing the installations, and that everyones' deposit is going towards business overheads and the owners pockets.
The Managing Director and ultimate owner (Nick Elbourne) has also de listed his association with GET on LinkedIn, and the GET is no longer listed as a company on LinkedIn.
I have given the company 1 star as you…
I have given the company 1 star as you cannot go any lower.
I have tried contacting customer service multiple times with no success.
In the last few weeks they have been sending me automated emails suggesting a session 75 claim (I did not pay the refund by credit card) or a charge back claim to my debit card provider- the timeframe for this has long passed, which they should be aware of.
I am now planning to take them to court and get the refund plus accrued interest.
Terrible terrible service
I have been provided with an inverter that has broken at least 4 times needing an engineer to come out. I have now been trying to contact them again and had many hours hanging on listening to the same message without any success. I now think we need to start a class action against this company and solar together who recommended this company and have simply taken no responsibility. Would anyone be interested ? i believe we need a group action to leverage some results which we may not be able to alone.
Get hate when they’re customers who…
Get hate when they’re customers who they have lied to tell the truth. They only want 5 star reviews which are lies. Trustpilot actively encourages this behaviour which is very naughty. I had to remove my previous review which was all true because it had get crying about me putting a phone number on which I was given by them.
Avoid like the plaque although it looks to me like get have gone bust
Green Energy Together are a disgrace, and so is our local council!
This has been a terrible experience from the start. GET will probably go down and not reimburse us. And Solar Together, the council which is supposed to protect us from cowboy providers, are not doing anything to help us. Quite the opposite! They pressurise us to invest in another company, despite not having our initial deposit reimbursed!
GET-UK deserves Zero stars
GET-UK deserves Zero stars. I patiently navigated their unreliable booking and installation process, but my installation failed the day after it was installed. I now have one inverter with an isolation fault and another that trips whenever the sun comes out. Since GET-UK no longer answer their customer service phone, it seems their publicity is deceitful and their guarantee worthless.

Deposit refund success
Co-op bank managed to get my deposit refunded via their Fraud/dispute department.
I had paid by visa debit. Sent them copies of receipt , all correspondence etc.
Excellent helpful service.
Might be worth trying other banks.
An update from SPUK211987
An update from SPUK211987.
After writing my review, surprise surprise, the next day I get a call from GET-UK, from the customer service team. They have been told to contact customers about refunds. The adviser was pleasant, gave me her contact number and e-mail address. I told her all i want is an update on my refund, she said she would check on this for me and call me back. Would you believe it, it has been almost 10 days. No response when i call the number, and no response to my e-mail. Solar Together are just as bad, sending out e-mails advising customers what to do, but they have no real powers themselves to do anything. What a nightmare experience overall.
No remedy for repairing faulty system and no-one to contact. Disgraceful.
After 8 cancelled installation dates (non were notified, explained or apologised for) starting May 2022, my system was finally commissioned in Dec 2022. However, one of the two inverters was faulty from day 1, and after many calls they finally replaced in Jan 2023 but that broke on 12 Feb and despite repeated calls, they have not repaired it. Since their registration was revoked in March 2023, they have no-one answering any phones, so if you try to call them you will sit in a queue of others fruitlessly wasting their time waiting to speak to a real person. I called the helpline of Solartogether but they just give standard unhelpful responses and tell you to keep phoning GET and keep waiting, but of course this is pointless because there is NO-ONE there.
And the insurance can only be used if GET officially cease trading, which they have not done. So unless the Major and Local Councils assist there is no remedy except to employ a separate company to do work to get the system working again. The GET guarantees etc are worthless.
Absolutely disgraceful behaviour and attitudes from all those involved.
as the rest - so disappointed
as the rest, I was told that I had to do a bank transfer ( no credit cards allowed); and now waiting for my refund since the 6th of March and of course the bank cannot do anything.... Solar together washing their hands and directing me to citizens advice bureau.... The council should take responsibility for this, we put our money and trust on them to avoid cowboy builders and we end up with the worse.....

After a 85 year old friend and neighbour was let down by GET UK system not functioning and no MCS.
Dreadful company.
No communications, missed installation dates, no explanations and no solar PV System installed. And no deposit returned either (although I have claimed this back via my credit card company). Avoid at all costs!
Don't even touch GET UK with a bargepole
Five fictitious appointment dates and corresponding silence and no-show's from Nick Elbourne's GET UK company between October 2022 and March 2023. Disappointing to have to waste some of my life waiting for them to turn up and having to deal with such incompetent time wasters after they've taken nearly £2k deposit. That's not to mention the non responses to emails, the half hour at a time hanging on the phone to try to get through. Avoid, avoid, avoid.
Despicable
I’m not a customer, but an ex employee. I was told my job had been “terminated” due to the company losing important licences. Quite the shock, when you’ve worked there for several years!!
Only to find that now they’ve not paid me as promised (due to be paid on 28th)
Called and emailed them, but no response!
I’m about to seek legal advice to get what I’m owed. Shocking way to treat customers and employees and I’m not surprised to read all the bad reviews on here. Rotten to the core.
cancellation refund still not paid after over 4 months
When Green Energy Together delayed the installation of solar panels for the second time at short notice and despite our only agreeing to delay on basis that second date would not be delayed, we cancelled the contract in mid December - we are still waiting for our deposit to be returned despite repeated promises including two promises to repay within fourteen days in response to our letter before action. Phones are not answered, nor are emails. We now have no alternative but to take them to court. ref.SPUK215882
