Total nightmare: App glitches, zero support, and abusive automatic fees!
Avoid renting with Getaround! Their app froze on the "Start Rental" screen when I tried to return the vehicle early (at 11:00 AM, though my rental was paid until 16:30). Because of their system bug, I was automatically hit with a fraudulent €30 "late fee." On top of that, they charged me an abusive €37 for fuel for a short 56 km drive in a hybrid Renault Clio—a mathematical absurdity that equals roughly €14.80 per liter!
To make matters worse, customer service is nonexistent. I spent an hour on the phone making two 30-minute calls to support and nobody answered. Senior support later refused to check my time-stamped video evidence and just sent automated replies. Unprofessional, buggy, and completely abusive. Stay away!

It has been one of the worst…
It has been one of the worst experiences with a vehicle rent service. As an international person trying to rent a car, it’s impossible - they asked for several documents to verify my account, which I gladly submitted and they rejected the application twice stating that the international driver license we have isn’t valid despite all original files submitted. We had to cancel the reservation and now they’re withholding the reimbursement. We tried calling the phone they have in the website and it does not lead to customer service.
I do not recommend this app, it’s not professional nor responsive.
