GO Outdoors - Plymouth Reviews 

Visited Plymouth Cattwater Go Outdoors yesterday looking for a particular Berghaus jacket. It wasn’t available in my size and Suzanne, who was helping us, spent time showing us alternatives and eventually found one which ‘worked’ for me. Suzanne was very helpful and instrumental in making the sale. Without her help we would have left the store empty handed.

I previously left a frustrating review regarding a predatory £170 parking charge notice issued by Premier Park Ltd after visiting Go Outdoors Plymouth.

However, I am very pleased to provide a glowing update. Following my initial complaint, Arran Johnson, the Store Manager at Go Outdoors Plymouth, stepped in and went above and beyond to assist me. Arran listened to the circumstances, actively challenged the parking company on how their practices impact genuine shoppers, and worked hard to successfully secure a full refund of all the money for the fine.

While the automated tactics of the parking management firm left a lot to be desired, Arran and the customer care team at Go Outdoors proved that they truly value their customers. Excellent management and stellar service from Arran—thank you for resolving this so fairly and I look forward to shopping again at one of my favorite shops in the future.

Beth was really helpful, friendly and showed great product knowledge when helping me select a waterproof jacket. Megan was friendly on the checkout. Such a positive in store experience I wouldn’t have got on line.

Wrong Order. Having ordered 15mm dumbell wafters on 26/8/26, nothing heard until I received a feedback review of product on 08/9/26, clearly no email received to state my purchase had arrived at the store! A phoned the Plymouth store today and by pure luck spoke to a delightful chap (Matt), who fully understood the product ordered as was a fellow fisherman and took on the task to establish what had happened to my order. 5 stars for Matt who at the time was working in the clothes department as he clearly went above and beyond to find my parcel and ring me back. Dissapointed again as the online order process was wrong, I had ordered dumbell wafters and received normal round 15mm boilies, although wafters. To much hassle to change now, and because of Matts efforts I will keep the product. May I suggest that the store would be foolish to not have Matt responsible for running the fishing section as clearly he is very knowledgeable and also passionate in fishing and customer service. The young man,Jay A that helped me choose a pair of shoes was amazing 👏. Not only did he select exactly the right product he explained how I should look after them properly, info that was backed up Steph at the till. Thanks team, great shopping experience 👍

Did quite a big shop today all staff were very helpful in shop floor and Megan on the till lovely young lady

The staff were extremely helpful while I decided on which jacket to select. I had some fairly specific criteria that wasn't obvious on the product labels so two staff members between them assisted with all of my queries and had answers or knew where to find answers to enable me to purchase exactly what I was looking for at what turned out to be a great price too. I must mention Megan S and Alana at the Plymouth store as their assistance was exemplary.

I'd just like to say a huge thank you to Saffron who was so helpful during my shop, when I visited the store on the 3rd of Sept. I would also like to thank Alana who I could not thank enough for all that she did for me. Alana not only went the extra mile, but exceeded that. Alana was so helpful in so many ways, I was blown away by her kindness. Both Saffron and Alana are a real credit to your store. Thank you both xxx

When shopping today the young lady called Nana served us. She was very pleasant, nothing was too much trouble and she actually saved us 10% discount by explaining we qualified as Caravan Club members. It was really to experience good customer service, the store should be proud of Nana

Today I was served by the lovely Megan, who always greats me with a lovely smile and a hello, you back again(oop's), all the staff here are very friendly and always on hand to help
Sadly the Plymouth store's fishing tackle is reduced so much now and not selling maggots anymore

I visited Go Outdoors looking for help with my Eurohike collapsable trolley and, despite not purchasing anything, I received outstanding customer service.

A special thank you to Paige, Jay E and Jay A, who went above and beyond to help me. They took the time to coach me through how to properly repack and organise my trolley. Nothing felt rushed, and they were patient, friendly and incredibly knowledgeable throughout.

It's rare to find staff who are so willing to help when there's no sale involved, and their professionalism and kindness really stood out. Thanks again to Paige, Jay E and Jay A for such excellent service. They are a real credit to the Go Outdoors team.

Went in to purchase cover for an outside event. Matt in the tent department guided us through the gazebo options with knowledge and attention. Bought all we needed at realistic price. First use yesterday - all worked exactly as described.

Ollie exceptionally helpful and listened well. Good attention to detail. Not pushy in any way. Knowledgeable and git more info as required thx God bless

Sarah was super helpful on the shop floor, sharing her experience with the Achaea air tent - helped me see how to solve some issues I had with pitching my tent. And then Steph was friendly and helpful at the till. Made it a very satisfying visit. Thank you.

We had Megan serve us at the counter for our purchase and we highlighted a defect with a pair of trainers we were intending to buy. She was very helpful and polite and got a manager over straight away to try and arrange a discount on the product for us.

Very good service and a pleasant timely interaction.
