Suzzanne was very helpful looking for trousers for me and found exactly what I wanted

We for the first time in Plymouth today saw Matt on the fishing section, i know all the staff do their best to help but Matt is an experienced fisherman and its a breath of fresh air to see somebody on that section who really has an interest in his section, as always good products at a good price 👍

I visited the Plymouth Store today wanting some advice about walking boots - my problem is that I am a size 3 and often find that walking boots of this size are made for children and consequently do not last me for more than one season of 6 months or so. After a chat with Simon, I settled on some Scarpa women's Gortex boots that were not only super comfy but fulfilled all of my requirements.
I was even more thrilled when I was served by Steph at the tills who told me that they come with a 12 month guarantee!
I would never usually treat myself to walking gear at this price but I was absolutely trilled to be able to use my blue light card alongside my go outdoors card to get a discount.

Overall I was really pleased with my visit to the store. The staff were so helpful and polite and really informative.

I bought some Scarpa gtx shoes today in the large ‘outdoor megastore’, my first visit.
Expecting fair prices, I was pleased and surprised by the high level of staffing. Most large outfits like this are undermanned by a handful of uninformed and unenthusiastic individuals. Go Outdoors is not.
Good footwear is expensive and deciding takes time.
Steph, who looked after me, answered all my questions (I’m a bit fussy) from an informed perspective, and made the experience very refreshing

I visited the Plymouth store to help my husband buy some walking shoes but I ended up buying two pairs myself! Teesh was so knowledgeable but not pushy and this made a real difference by putting me at ease and not under pressure. Megan S was also very friendly on the checkout so I will definitely visit again. Go Outdoors seem to recruit staff who know exactly what customer service is!

Really friendly staff, I was served by Steph who was super helpful and chatty, overall, I was really impressed with the store. There were staff everywhere offering to help, a hugely enjoyable experience!

Visited the Plymouth store and was helped by Steph to pick the best shoe for my foot.At no point was I pressured and just given honest advice.At the till Alana was great and I quickly went through the payment process. I don’t like shopping but this was a breeze.

Came in for one thing and left with several others!! Thanks Matt and hopefully see you on the bank soon and thanks for the method recipe!

Met Matt on several occasions at the Plymouth store , very helpful and knowledgeable on the fishing section, advised me on what I needed and how to set it up, this is the kind of person you need in store. Whilst I was there a young lad came up to Matt and asked for help and Matt was very helpful to him.

Haven't visited for a while but once again found the staff very knowledgeable and helpful. Helped me find just what I needed and never tried to force more expensive products on me.

Was a good experience picking up new course fishing Gear, Matt was very helpful in helping me with what I needed to take on course fishing.

We visited the Plymouth store today to buy fishing equipment. As complete novices we needed advice on choosing the right rod. Matt was super helpful, even coming off his break to help.
Five star service from him, gave great advice and excellent customer service even helping set up the rod and gave our young man tips and tricks, showing him how to tie the knots securely. What an amazing service and asset to the store. Highly recommend Matt for all your fishing needs.
