Works very well for us
I think the food quality is in the main very good. Sooo much more flavour and freshness than hello fresh. We rarely have anything missing or not fresh enough. If not, you just send a message and you get a credit. Rarely have an issue. My deliveries are 99% of the time on time and during a suitable window. We really like the lower calorie recipes. As busy professionals I like that I have everything I need to cook a nice meal. I learn new things and find the cooking therapeutic.

Im disabled housebound and delivery driver buzzed and left 2 floors down in flat entrance for anyone to take had to do 3 trips up two flights of stairs and veg very bad quality but rest was ok will not order again in case left downstairs again

The recipes are always so creative
The recipes are always so creative, theyve got me out of a really stagnant cooking routine id fallen into. The sauces your always taught to make which I love! As it gives you ideas for your own cooking. The ingredients are good quality and fairly priced. The boxes are so flexible weekly or monthly you choose. Options like quick cook meals to. Honestly cant rate them enough.

Quality is only good if it all turns up!
Firstly the good stuff.
Gousto have a large selection of recipes and ready meals and overall the quality of the ingredients - especially the meat- has been excellent. The meals are tasty and a good portion for an adult - but we have added veg on occasion.
Not so good.
1.Our latest order was delivered to the wrong address (appreciate that this the courier's mistake and not Gousto but feedback is feedback!).
2. Some of the recipes needlessly complicate very simple recipes - waiting before adding ingredients (5 mins before adding garlic for example) is not generally how folk cook. It may be what a chef would do but a "normal" who is knocking up a pasta sauce or basic pie filling wont. Maybe add a footnote to recipes that you can chuck everything in once the meat has browned provided you take care not to char the garlic?
3. We started ordering from Gousto in the run up to being laid up post-op. We live in the sticks and limiting shopping runs would take the pressure off. All good provided everything turns up. Our latest order was missing multiple items impacting every recipe - mostly veg but other items as well. Gousto customer service gave us a credit for the items but still had to make a 20 mile round trip in order to get the missing items. Kind of negates the benefits if you cant trust that you will get everything you need.
We will see if it happens again!

Great food with lots of choice
Great food with lots of choice. The recipes and regular delivery has been the basis of my 3 stone weight loss. I have now got back into cooking for myself and actually look forward to it as the recipes are so easy to follow.

Rice whine vinegar packet had hole innit
They put a different meal competely in a box and it was a duplicate , so had 2 of one thing that week
Rocket leave and couple the herbs been bit crushed and bruised
And the delivery drive stood the box up wrong way so all stuff got crushed
The first w boxes were amazing and tealy were a awesome start to a healthy recovery
I hope tgey read this and make amends as it is expensive to have things bad or not rite

Food was ok - some too spicy for my liking and im not a garlic lover. Not impressed with how the cost went up each week - £43 for 5 meals for one person - too expensive

Terrible experience
Terrible experience. Ordered my first box which seemed good value given the discount offer and cashback offered through a works benefit page. After opening the box the ingredients were everywhere and in no order. The vegetables were loose and damaged and bruised and alot of the ingredients shaken around and unappealing. I went to make my first meal and discovered the mince was missing. I made a complaint through the App and they offered me £3 credit. I had already decided I wasn't reordering so this was of no use. The following night went to make my second meal and only half the chicken that was needed was there. Never again.

Prompt Resolution
Unfortunately one of my heat and eat meals arrived damaged and had leaked over other items. My 5 star rating is not for this, it’s for the prompt response and resolution by crediting my Gousto account for the damaged item. As an aside, the varied choice and quality of the recipes are outstanding.
