We often go to Sussex Barn, Horsham and always have a great meal, There is plenty of different meals to choose from and it is always clean and tidy. Staff are friendly and welcoming.

Went to the Luzborough Arms Romsey on Sunday 15 September had an excellent Sunday Lunch despite a food issue which was quickly sorted congratulations to young Frazier our waiter who was excellent

I don’t have a particular gripe about a specific Greene King Pub but my problem is your prices. In the last 2 years your prices for any pint have rocketed. I noticed today a pint of Peroni was £7.43 when last week it was £7.34. Earlier this year it was £7.30.
This is a massive hike in pricing and a clear sign your company is profiteering.
You’re now charging the same as hotel, including their service charge.
People notice this and are starting to turn away from your chain of pubs.

Went to The Longshoot for a 90th Birthday lunch. Staff very friendly and made us very welcome. Excellent food and a free cake for the 'Birthday Boy'!!

Been to several across the country, all of which have been absolutely terrible.

Avoid at all costs

Unfortunately we didn’t get to experience the food, service or atmosphere of this pub…. We liked the look of the pub and saw it was dog friendly so we went in the garden and sat down to have a nice lunch and a drink after our long dog walk, only to be told that we couldn't have food as we hadn't booked! It was about 12.40 on a Wednesday afternoon and it didn't appear to be that busy. There were only two of us and I said we weren't in a rush but all they could offer us was from the sandwich menu but not before 1.30pm! It is not obvious on the website that one has to book, only on scrolling through the description of the food & drink does it say at the end that booking is advisable, and you cannot book a table online so one would have to call the pub to book which is really unusual, its a pub not a restaurant! There is a sign on the bar basically saying if you haven't booked then you may not get food, but by then you've already sat down and settled as it isn't a wait to be seated set up! So we left disappointed and hungry and went to another pub which was a lot busier but were still serving food and we spent over £70 on food and drink…. The Star’s loss !!

My wife & I attended the 5 Bells public house today the 15-7-2024 for Dinner.
In the past I have awarded this venue 5* but the standards have dropped drastically thus the 1* rating I have now given it.
I ordered 8 chicken wings with chilli sauce, it took the kitchen 20 minutes to turn up & when it did the wings were over cooked & barely warm, we had just started to eat the wings which I stated on ordering were to be my starter but they gave us no time to eat the starter when the Main course arrived which was Chicken and Ribs with sweet corn, chips & onion rings.
The GRAVY was Cold & I had to ask them to heat it up I also had to ask for butter for the
Sweet corns.
The service was abysmal, I also had a coke & my Wife had a half of larger shandy.
The cost of this lousy meal cost me £54.01
I would advise you NOT to eat at this venue which is by far overpriced & NOT worth the money!!!

We went to Riverside greene king in Rotherham last night for food. Nice pub, very friendly staff. Husband would recommend the Home run burger. Good night for England to.

We went to the Hare & Hound Inn today in Hyde. The staff are incredibly stuck up. Not friendly at all. Very disappointed.

We booked an evrning meal at The Rose Inn Great Wakering. We arrived for our meal on time. Upon arrival there were plenty of tables available and the pub did not appear to be under pressure. Notably the pub had run out of some draught beers which appears to happen fairly often at this pub.
Thereafter we were virtually forgotten. No menu was brought to our table and after 40 minutes I went to the bar to place our Order. After another 40 minutes I went back to the bar to ask where our order was. Another couple, who arrived after us had eaten their meal and left by this time. After eating our main meal - which was lacking the advertised 'range of seasonal veg' apart from 2 pieces of broccoli- we waited a further 40 minutes before I asked where our sweet was. The 'Eton Mess' consisted of a small sundae glass with two strawberries at the bottom, pink ice cream on top, squishy cream and a tiny piece of broken meringue on top. No sign of the advertised scoops of clotted cream anywhere. In all a deeply disappointing experience from start to finish.

Chris, Svetnia, The Chef and all the staff at " ButterChurn, Sutton, Surrey" are the best staff one could ever wish to encounter. I have been taking my 11 years old son to this pub for his regular meal ( two sausages, peas, Mash with extra gravy and extra Mash with a dessert of Chocolate Brownie for some time now, and we have been looked after so, so well by the whole team. They all work extremely hard manage to keep all customers very happy. Nothing is too much trouble for them and they all go that " extra mile" to please us. We highly recommend this pub for the splendid, superb and most efficient service rendered by Chris, Svetnia , Chef and the entire team. Could a member of the Management Team please give them all a pat on the back for a job very well done - they all deserve a commendation from the Head Office Management Team

The millet arms perivale.food was cooked well dessert was nicely presented and tasted great service was very good.robyn was very attentive and so was all the staff at the millet arms.thankyou.

Walkford Arms - Walkford Dorset.
Had Sunday lunch today.
Staff were brilliant and empathetic to food poor quality.
I ordered a main dish described as a " king prawn risotto"
What was served bore no resemblance.
Just two tiny shrimp in shells.
No dressing and not one king prawn in site.
For dessert blackberry & apple pie was ordered - no fruit in site just paste!
Probably taking advantage of your clientele - definitely a rip off.
Just a menu dressed up and totally misleading
Unfair on your staff, probably does not improve profitability, considering returns of food and non- returning custom.
If it reads well - serve it!!!

Visited the grapes hotel St Helens - the carvery is always great and the staff are very friendly. Would recommend to all.

Tiger Moth. Not a good place to go for a pub meal as all the tables have reserved on them (more than half of them) you have to look for staff when you find someone, NOT VERY polite saying no table available. Needs a sign or a member of staff at the door (Like some other Greene Kings) making it clear so you do not walk round the pub also wasting your time put in your car registration. This is not the first time for myself & I know so not a good local pub to go to.

Hawthorne farm carvery hosted the wedding reception of my daughters wedding on friday 15th march. The service the staff provided was excellent. Providing a free seating area for reception and putting out displays and banners. Very welcoming atmosphere. As a family we do come here pretty often and always find food and service at high standard. Fantastic experience. Thank you

Primrose Farm, Wigan
I visited here with my family for a birthday meal on Wednesday 13 March.
Food was lovely but they did seem to be short staffed, even though it wasn't that busy, we had quite a wait for our meals.
Stacey who works there was lovely, made sure we had everything we needed and was very helpful. Stacey was very knowledgeable regarding the overall running of the bar and food areas. Stacey is a great asset to Primrose Farm. I will definitely visit again.

I received an email from Greene King Pubs offering me £5 off my bill as long as I spent £15 or more on food and/or drinks by 29th February 2024.

The menu in my local Greene King Pub showed that 2 pub classics were offered at a cost of £12.49.

My total bill for 2 pub classics, side salad and drinks came to £22.35. When I queried the bill I was told that, because I had used the £5 off discount, the 2 pub classics had been charged at their full price (a total of £19.28).

So, by using a £5 discount offer, I had paid £1.79 more for the meals than if I hadn't used it.

The woman who served me explained that only one discount was allowed. I asked her to please remove the discount and she returned £1.79 to me.

I will be careful when offered a "saving" by Greene King in future.
