My wife and I went in together to have a Covid and Flu jab. I explicitly asked at least 3 times for my Covid jab to be asperated. She just put the needle in and injected. totally against what I asked for. I dont think she knew what I was talking about. I then said ...you did not asperate....she said we dont do that here. I then asked for my wifes injection to be asperated. She put the needle in and squeezed. Very Very poor to deliberately go against a patients specific request. Last 2 times I had the jab at the G.M.C.both were carefully asperated. If she was unsure of what she was doing then she should have asked someone.I think more training needed before people with little knowledge are let loose on patients.

This surgery has nice enough clinical staff, dreadful reception staff, clueless admin and an awkward telephone-only, same-day-only booking system that keeps you on hold forever. We put up with that for about a year, but the final straw was when reception staff started acting like guard dogs whose main job was to keep away undesirables (such as anyone accompanying a patient for mental or physical support). I know it’s coronatimes, but this has gone too far and we’ve gone elsewhere.
