Very bad speakers

Very bad speakers, can’t link to iPad , they don’t update, they drop out all the time, hey google does not work but when you do get it to work, it will stop working a few days later.

Harmankardon, have clearly specialised in speaker sound but not the technology to play/use the speakers. ‘Half job’

I had multiple issues with a product of…

I had multiple issues with a product of theirs over the last year. But putting the technical issues aside. The customer service team has really gone above and beyond to attend to my needs and replace my product twice. This is why I paid the premium, because I expected this kind of service to come with it. Welldone.

JBL Quantum One headset

Bought a JBL Quantum One headset. Their premium gaming headset. After only a couple of months the earpads split and when I tried to make a claim under warranty I was basically told that I caused the split from abuse and they were not covered under warranty. Disgraceful service from a disgraceful company.

Overall positive experience with some draw-backs

Had an overall positive experience - transport takes longer than the 1-2 days advertised, but that is no issue.
The speakers are fine, though they lack a sub woofer. when spending this amount of money, I would expect at least some bass...
Unfortunately the customer service was not helpful in advising if the small subwoofer would be sufficient for my apartment

The absolute worst speakers— citation…

The absolute worst speakers— citation series. I spent a fortune on 4, they disconnect from google home constantly, forcing app deletion and a reset on a weekly basis. 2 have terrible sound quality. Crackling noises. I expected way more for a company with such a reputable brand. DO NOT BUY. Absolute crap. Eff them.

3 months and nothing!

Ordered a JBL Cinema 610 back in November of 2020, in January 2021 I contacted the company to find out where my order was and they couldn't really help at all, so I gave it till February... 3 MONTHS and still did not receive my purchase. Now today I contacted them again and they canceled my order... I missed out on other great deals over the holidays...

WORLDS WORST NO SO SMART SPEAKER

This has to be the worlds worst smart speaker, not so smart not plug and play Google £25 ones work way better and at no cost. Customer service haven't got a clue they treat you like your a child yet they created the worlds worst no so smart speaker I can't get my breath how complicated it is to set up, even when you try it doesn't work i will be getting a full refund! Utter Junk DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY

IR or LAN commands not received

I recently contact Harman kardon's support. I asked if I could get a list with the infrared commands or LAN commands for controlling the receiver via a crestron system. They are just not willing to share the info.

Worst speaker in the world

Worst speaker in the world. Harman Kardon One. A rectangle box. Barely used I am now using it plugged in (forget the battery, it doesnt exist) and audio wired to a laptop, it just keeps shutting off. No matter what I do, this piece of crap will not work. It shuts off no matter what. Do not buy anything from this company.

The company gets 1 star because I couldn’t give them a 0.
Ordered 2 speakers. One came blown. Went to website to return. No online chat available. No customer service by phone available. Can’t sign in to return online because they say no account exists under my email address.....which they keep sending emails to.
Worst customer service ever. Guess I’m just out $150.

Expensive. Unreliable and Poor Customer service.

worst customer service ever. spent $1350 on their soundbar 3 years ago and the bluetooth stopped working. they didn't provide a replacement and passed me on to a repairs agent, that would cost me more money to get it potentially fixed. dont buy their products. expensive, unreliable and a very poor after sales team to back it up.

Poor product and terrible service

I am in Australia and bought a Harman kardon portable speaker through an international eBay seller - BEWARE! the product stopped working after less than three months But Harman kardon do not have an international warranty. The HK agent in Australia couldn’t be less interested and the seller said too bad. Very poor product and very poor service. Will
Never buy this brand again.

This review relates to the Arcam wing…

This review relates to the Arcam wing of HarmanKardon. I have a SoloMovie/Music 5.1 unit, which had seemed pretty good until the disc drive packed up. I initially contacted my dealer as this is the only way they will entertain doing any repair work and they advised it might be worth contacting them direct as the unit is not long out of the warranty period. The dealer obviously thought Arcam might consider carrying out the repair at a more reasonable cost than their fixed fee.
Their fixed fee comes to 50% of the original cost of the unit, so not worth even considering.
Having been in touch with Arcam their response was tough luck basically! Hence this negative review. They obviously don't want people to buy their equipment as their after sales service is less than favourable.
The sooner they go out of business the better it will be for everyone. You have been warned!

Harman kardon are bad quality don't waste your money

Brought Harman kardon go+play in December 2015 from Amazon it worked great for 4 years now it has stopped working off the mains power and obviously its out of warranty so my £200 speaker is now useless save your money and go for Bose or B&O, Harman kardon your a joke of a company i think all these bad reviews speak for themselves

Return experience

I purchased speakers that did not perform how I expected. I returned them. Weeks go by, no refund. I call 5 times and finally ask for a manager because each representative gives me the same story and tells me to call my bank. Almost 3 months later I get my refund after speaking with the manager and wasting around 2 hours speaking to useless representatives. I hope to never have to deal with them again. Beware they own JBL.

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE AND RETURN POLICY EVER EXPERIENCED!!!!!

Only giving them 1 star because you cannot give them a zero!!! Purchased two of the same sound bars on accident. Immediately went on line the next day 12/10/2019 and did a return to send it back. The box was unopened, I removed the original labels replacing them with the return labels from Harmon Kardon. Harmon Kardon received the sound bar back on 12/13/2019 per UPS tracking. On 12/20/2019 I called and held for 45 minute on what the recording said was a 10 minute wait. I was advised that because I did a 'self return' vs calling customer service the warehouse had not processed the return. The agent advised that he was sending over a request to the Finance Team for my refund to be processed. On 12/27/2019 I called back and held for 1 hour and 15 minutes. RA took my name and order number and after 7 min of holding to research my order he says that the warehouse is still evaluating the equipment. I told him per the email I received it takes 4 business days to process the refund and reminded him that it has been 2 weeks. I asked for a manager and was placed on hold for 20 minutes and then advised that they were in a meeting and would call me back. I advised RA that I would hold. I confirmed that this call was being recorded and then went over the entire conversation. I asked him to provide me the phone number and hours of the Finance Team, I was placed on hold again for 15 minutes. RA returned to the line and said he was connecting me. In the midst of me asking to whom he was transferring me, I actually only got 'with' before I was back on hold. After 2 minutes, 11:01 PM EST, they close at 11:00 PM EST, the call was disconnected. If you want to deal with a company whose customer services and/or return policy is at least average......STAY AWAY FROM HARMON KARDON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Horrible site

Their website is horrible, carelessly programmed. When I want to view their US site while in the UK, it always forced me to go to the UK. There was no way to go the the main site. When contacted their customer service, I could never received a reply for months.

Purchased HK Onyx 3 speakers in 2017

Purchased HK Onyx 3 speakers in 2017. Both had battery issues a year later. HK tested and replaced with Onyx 4's. A year later one of the speakers has a horrible buzzing sound. Contacted HK to ask about fixing it. Told the replacement speakers didn't have a warranty since they were replacement for speakers that had a warranty issue. Offered a 10% coupon to buy another speaker. No thanks. 75% failure rate so far and you want me to buy another one so you can tell me you won't fix it.

Incredible sounding speakers that only last a year doesn't work, especially at their price point. Add in poor customer service response, and voila..... poor rating.

I purchased a citation soundbar

I purchased a citation soundbar. On installation i found the hdmi ports on the back were lose and falling inside... I returned to product to the store and got a replacement straight away... I got the new one up and running it sounded great but the next day it broke down it would not connect to and any device... I have a sonos now no problems one star all the way
