Avoid at any cost

Bought a pair of JBL headphones (Reflect mini 2) and after less than 3 months they stopped working.
I contacted support and expected a swift change but no.
Apparently this model have no serial number so they could not be sure these were not a copy (they did not offer to check them-I assume they could see within seconds if that was the case)...but they were not.
Also I was supposed to keep the box but who in this day and age does that?
In the end it was the usual bs that they were really sorry and asked me to come back if I had any further questions (that without solving my problem to start with)and offered me a 20% discount on a new pair.
So I would recommend people to stay away from this company for 2 reasons
1) the substandard quality of their products
2) if something DO happen to your product and you need help-well then you are on your own

Be prepared for a LONG wait

Purchased a sound bar from Harmon and waited 5 days before they decided to post it. On the 8th day I received it but it was faulty and was told to repack it, I did this then found I had to fill in a form which needed the serial number, so had to unpack it before re packing it.
I then had to put it in my car and take it to a UPS outlet myself.
8 days later I was informed it was being “ PROCESSED “ and “ READY “ to be shipped. After no other communication and 2 days later “Saturday” I tried calling them several times as they were open unti 3pm but the automated reply was to call back when they were open. I have requested a full refund and will NEVER buy from these cowboys again.
Be warned and buy from a respectful dealer.

Worst service and No spare parts after 2 years of purchasing product

I Sound quality is good, They sell the products and if any repair the you won’t get service at all as they simply say it’s end of life (EOL).
The customer service is toooo worst. They took 90+ days for one simple problem and even then it’s not solved. I had a problem with Audio IC and they did not repaired it. They are just ..... Be aware. If anyone buying harman kardon then please be prepared for Ur money going in vain as they won’t repair even for simple problems. My home theatre just worked for 2 years after buying and now they declared as EOL and stopped spare parts as well. Now I just need to throw it away, no other option.

I contacted Harmon Kardon Europe re a request for a part for an amplifier . Harman International case: 04119820 [ ref:_00Di0fiJD._5001Y1H3wGs:ref ]
They are now asking me to contact some other agent saying that it comes under a different region
My point is that I have contacted HK and they have opened a case. So is not their responsibility to contact whatever relevant division and get me a proper answer, rather than send me from pillar to post and ask ME TO CONTACT other parties?
Quite honestly, HK customer service is lousy. DO NOT BUY Harmon Kardon. European brands are dinosaurs
Go for Japanese brands, which have excellent customer support.

Not usefriendly. No Spotify or Apple music, only Google& YouTube

With the recent Google scandal of listening into people's homes now Harman Cardon should absolutely make it possible to use Spotify or Apple's apps to listen to music. This is not possible now.

The installation of the speaker is very difficult for a non- IT person. There is no equalizer option in the Google Home app so it you don't like a very very heavy base then you're in trouble.
I cannot recommend this speaker, it is not at all user friendly.

Horrible Customer Service, don't buy

Speakers are great sound and design wise, HOWEVER their level of customer support is abysmal.

I returned speakers to them within the warranty period, and after 1 month i didn't even receive a confirmation that they had received the speakers. I had to email them to beg them to find the speakers I sent.

After 2 months of them "checking" the speakers they told me everything is fine with them... while half of the speakers stopped working.

I had to convince them to do a more thorough check and they found a fault. And said they will send me a replacement.

It took them over 5 months to find what was wrong with them and now in the 6th month of this warranty claim I still haven't received anything from them.

I have to beg them for a response on my emails, and they respond with a one sentence email saying absolutely nothing.

NEVER buy from them. If any of their equipment malfunctions you are better off buying new speakers from a different manufacturer, than trying to go through hell and back for a simple replacement.

Terrible service they took my money and…

Terrible service they took my money and they said they had shipped my order to me, but 3 weeks later no sign of anything and I got in contact with them several times and each time they blatantly lied to me saying "we've shipped it and you'll receive it early next" that time table came and went with no sign of anything, in the end they admitted they hadn't sent my order and that they may not be able to complete it and asked if I would mind waiting for a few more weeks = nightmare experience . I am still waiting for my refund no sign of that. Stay away from this company they are the worst, I ordered from them believing they were a good company.

very high quality speakers

very high quality speakers. I have them on my Audi and for home entertainment and I swore, there are no better speakers than these. I am surprised to see bad reviews on this

Wish I could leave zero stars

Wish I could leave zero stars.

Customer service is completely lacking, waited two weeks for my in stock item to be dispatched, just being told to wait further.

Hopefully someone higher than the customer service team reads these reviews, as they won’t escalate anything above them.

For a company that places themself in a high end market, I’m genuinely shocked they survive.

If you really must have a Harman Kardon product, buy from a reseller and not direct. You have been warned.

And if any of the management team are reading this, devote some time to reading your customer complaints and look at how they are handled.........

AKG headphones product fault and poor customer service

I got in touch with their Harmon’s customer service both in Germany and UK, with regard to a fault in expensive pair of AKG NC60 headphones that cost about £185. After just over a year the seams on the earphone pads started to come away and reveal the yellow foam inside.

I sent them photos showing the fault and receipt/ proof of purchase. All very time consuming.

I also got in touch with the reseller in Germany from whom I bought the headphones via eBay: techinthebasket.de.

Both companies initially replied but after that did nothing and this was despite a call directly to Harman Kardon Customer service.

This is clearly a case of poor quality control and I believe Harmon should have offered to replace the ear pads. They did not despite suggesting politely that it would be good to do so. And of course the Customer Service is also really poor in respect of both companies

I will not be buying any products in the future made Harman Kardon.

Great sound, bad hardware quality, bad HK service

After 1 year the DVD player does not work of my 1.000 dollar HK system. The support was not helpfull at all, only offered a software upgrade which did not worked and HK could not help me anymore on this isssue.

Futhermore, system is slow......but the fact that I have these issues after a year and HK support did nothing to solve the problem, while the quality is soo bad, is the most stressfull thing.

Very disappointed!

This company should not be allowed to operate in the UK.

They never reply to emails, when they answer the phone they are rude and unhelpful and pass things off to other departments as a request which "takes up to 5 working days to reply to". All I want is a tracking number and to know when the item will be delivered.

Even when I email your Vice President of 'Operational Excellence' Mr Herbert Parker I don't get a reply or acknowledgement of my request for information.

You should not be allowed to trade direct to consumers in the UK Market, stick to lower margin sales through resellers who can properly represent your brand.
