Excellent Boiler Service – Highly Recommend Ryan!

Ryan was absolutely fantastic! He arrived exactly when he said he would, carried out the boiler service professionally, and took the time to share his insights from the check. He even gave me helpful recommendations on the best boiler temperature settings and walked me through all the documentation.
What really stood out was how patient and knowledgeable he was – answering all my questions about heating and radiators in general. It’s rare to find someone who combines punctuality, expertise, and great customer service like Ryan does.
I would 100% recommend Ryan to anyone looking for boiler or heating services. Thanks, Ryan!

Went Downhill

After initially being impressed and recommending Ryan following a boiler service it went a bit downhill......... Had a fault which Ryan came to look at and diagnosed quickly, part replaced not long after. Unfortunately it didn't fix the issue, fair enough, I understand that it's not possible to diagnose a fault first time every time. Ryan then became harder and harder to get hold of, only getting back in touch when I asked if I should be looking at getting someone else to fix it, or leave a review. In the end after a week of ignored messages I booked someone else.

I'm also having to pay to replace the valve that Ryan changed as it may be from a faulty batch.

There is a lot of artistic licence in that response, visited on the 26th Sept, I only then received a reply on the 10th Oct after politely enquiring quite a few times, then finally saying I was going to have to look elsewhere. Potentially faulty valve was only mentioned at that point.

Good evening Steve,
I’m disappointed to see this review, as I feel there’s a bit more context worth mentioning.

As I explained during my last visit, I had contacted the manufacturer because a few other valves from the same batch had also failed. I was waiting for their response before returning, and I did let you know I’d be in touch once I heard back.

I visited the property twice at no charge to investigate the issue and was also happy to replace the newly fitted faulty valve free of charge once the manufacturer confirmed the situation. However, after receiving your message saying you’d contacted another engineer, I assumed you preferred to move forward with them.

Though it is worth mentioning I did offer you a date to do the replacement in our last message but I didn’t receive a reply.

I admit I could have sent an update while waiting for the manufacturer, but it’s been an exceptionally busy period. I hope you’ve now got everything sorted with the other engineer.

Ryan is extremely knowledgeable

Ryan is extremely knowledgeable, skilful and highly professional. I feel he always goes above and beyond to resolve any issues and leaves you with the certainty that all issues have been addressed fully. Safety is paramount and he clearly articulates any issues and how these will be addressed.
I have been so grateful for the annual care he provides in servicing and maintaining the heating system.
I am hugely indebted to him that when I recently moved house, he came to do any initial
inspection and determined that the boiler had not been properly installed or serviced. He returned numerous times to ensure the flue was correctly repositioned and replaced the faulty front panel.
I would not think of employing any other heating engineer. He’s first class and his charges are so reasonable.

Highly recommended

I would highly recommend Hashtag Heat. Ryan has been looking after our heating and hot water after our thermostat failed just before Christmas 2023. He is very knowledgeable, reliable and amiable. He responds quickly to enquiries. His work is always of a high standard and always tidies up after finishes the work.

Educational and informative boiler service.

Ryan completed a boiler service at a fair price and identified some issues with the exhaust pipe that wasn't up to current code, which he resolved in a subsequent visit.

We'll be working with Hashtag heat for all future annual servicing and plumbing requirements.
