Great experience, getting the quote and purchasing the policy coukd not have been easier.

To date very impressed, easy to contact, very competitive prices, on recent changes with new car and swapping personal plate, communication went well and all was actioned promptly.

What a great company they have a super easy to use app. Polite helpful staff fair competitive quotes. 9.5 out of 10 from me. The only small issue I have is when I need to speak to someone/ a person the wait time is a little long i know they have a great chat service but sometimes it's reassuring to speak to a person ,but overall a top insurance

Disliked the fact I have to keep my blue tooth and location on my phone for a month you are eating into the little data I have, every year I get sent a renewal and every year I find it cheaper on line by £100 by yourselves, but this year I have to keep my location on in my phone,disgraceful

Shocking. Set my account up for auto renewal. Received an email saying thanks, all sorted then 15 days later my insurance was cancelled due to non payment. 2 days later I have received a letter saying they are going to cancel it.

Biggest kicker is they want a £5 admin fee for cancelling something I genuinely believed I’d paid for. I’ll spend my money elsewhere.

I went with Hastings Direct U Drive for my first black box policy, and to be fair, they were actually really good while I was insured with them. As a first-time driver, I’d say they’re one of the best black box companies out there everything was smooth, and I had no major issues during my policy. I even maintained a black box score of 92, so I did everything right on my end.
However, my experience completely changed when it came to renewal. I had already received a quotation for my car without a black box, which I was happy with. Out of curiosity, I asked for a quote with a black box again, but they told me they couldn’t provide one.
Even worse, after that, my original quote without the black box disappeared as well. Despite knowing that quote existed, they couldn’t retrieve it or offer it to me again, and in the end, they couldn’t insure me at all.
Really disappointing way to end what was otherwise a good experience. Great during the policy, but very poor and frustrating at renewal.
