I took 3 years' subscription. My subscription got deactivated, no support from them. I lost my money. This is a fraudulent company

False Promises and Unresponsive Support: A Warning about Hide My Ass VPN

I regret to inform you about my extremely unsatisfactory experience with Hide My Ass VPN, and I feel compelled to share this review on Trustpilot to warn potential customers about their deceptive practices and lackluster customer support.

From the moment I signed up with Hide My Ass VPN, I was enticed by their bold claim of a "100% refund within 30 days" if I wasn't satisfied with their services. Unfortunately, it quickly became apparent that this was nothing more than a marketing ploy to attract customers, as they failed to honor their own refund policy.

When I encountered numerous issues with their VPN service, I immediately reached out to their customer support via email, as instructed. However, to my dismay, the support team completely disregarded my inquiries and failed to respond to a single email. It's truly frustrating to be left in the dark, especially when you're seeking help and expecting a prompt resolution.

The lack of communication and unresponsiveness from Hide My Ass VPN's support team is utterly unacceptable. As a paying customer, I should be entitled to timely and efficient assistance, particularly when it concerns their advertised refund policy. Instead, I have been met with silence and indifference.

Furthermore, the misleading refund policy adds insult to injury. Hide My Ass VPN falsely claims to offer a 100% refund within 30 days, giving customers a false sense of security. In reality, attempting to obtain a refund is a tedious and fruitless endeavor due to their uncooperative support team.

I am deeply disappointed by the unprofessionalism displayed by Hide My Ass VPN. Their failure to deliver on their promises and their negligent customer support have left me frustrated and disillusioned. I strongly advise anyone considering their services to think twice before making a purchase.

In conclusion, Hide My Ass VPN's deceptive refund policy and unresponsive customer support have tarnished their reputation. I regret ever choosing their services and urge potential customers to explore more reliable and customer-focused VPN providers.

Had a problem setting up VPN on Router…

Had a problem setting up VPN on Router and reached out for help.... which never came. I had to switch to another VPN provider. Months later I received an email saying that they did not support routers anymore. They also said that I could not get a refund as I was over 1 year into a 3 year agreement.
Their service use to be good... not anymore. I cannot recommend this product anymore.

the service is fraudulent

the service is fraudulent, I can't unsubscribe from the plan, unsubscribe button in the account is removed. forced auto-renewal even though I send three requests to the service without any response. I had to cancel my card to end this.

Fradulent company

For the last few years, I have been using their product and it was getting worse and worse every year. This year I didn't plan to purchase it. However, they charged me automatically, I presume there was an already set payment plan or w/e. Anyway, I contacted them as soon as I noticed that transaction (after 9 days). At first, they told me that I had the right to a refund since they guaranteed the 30-day money back, however, after that message, nothing happened. I contacted them multiple times and nothing, 0 response. They are ignoring me on purpose. What to say...

Slow / Not Worth It

Purchased a 3 year subscription.

Service is slow (2 Mbps Down) and the customer support is even slower.

Do not waste your time or money with this service.

I purchased 3 year subscription but system disabled my access after 1 year

The fee was paid and I tried to contact them but nobody replied

So I need help how to contact the or they stopped their services?

Anyone can help to recommend other good reliable VPN?

Useless with Linux

Useless with Linux. Have never been able to connect (all connection instructions point you to *.ovpn files on pages that 404 out), yet the company keeps charging me monthly.

Customer service is unresponsive or unhelpful. I don't need my hand held, but I can't connect when I'm pointed to config files don't exist!

Linux OpenVpn dead for some time, subscription cancellation not working, rip-off trap ???

After using HMA for a long time, connecting via Linux OpenVpn no longer works -> AUTH Error.

* No answer from the helpdesk
Links in the HMA support area for Linux do not work (e.g.: **** Download **** Linux)

Cancellation of the subscription is not possible (no button to cancel the subscription although I paid directly by credit card) !!!
Payment method cannot be changed or controlled at all in the account management.

Overall very sloppy website that does not work as described in the HMA tutorials. Lots of broken links - at least in the Linux section. I wouldn't care if you could at least cancel !!!! There are enough other providers on the market.

Also on cancellation attempt, by contact form or mail so far no answer from HMA (yes, except for the generated message "!... we will contact you...").

Hands off !!!

Terrible experience

No response from customer support. Instructions in knowledge base point to inaccessible webpages. Even the support ticket website is inaccessible, nothing can be done after receiving the support ticket acknowledgement email.

They never reply to your questions or Never Refund

They never reply to your questions. I never receive an activation code for my account. Contacted them 3 times. I never get a reply. Already opened a case in Paypal to request a refund. Never recommend this company. see others' reviews. they have also faced many issues with them

Don't buy anything from this company

Don't buy anything from this company. They don't answer support question. Seriously, they ignore you completely. They don't support OpenVPN. Their app sucks, so they should. 2 times I have tried to cancel my subscription. They don't answer. That money is gone.

HMA VPN Service - no Customer Support

HMA VPN Service works. Customer Service support non-existent.
I have been an HMA client for several years. In the past they have responded to inquiries within 30 hours. Recently I have sent two requests for support to HMA, neither of which has been responded to several days later. This has forced me to subscribe to a competitors service. Unfortunately I am on a 3 year plan with HMA or I would cancel.
