We previously had just one Himolla powered recliner in an office/snug room and it has been superb for someone advancing in years and yet still active on a farm.
A great relief for an old aching back and a very relaxing chair to sit in. The leather has stood up well to years of wear and I can’t fault the chair or mechanism. Top class, and superbly engineered as you might expect from Germany.
The ergonomics are so good, we went back to Smith’s of Harrogate and ordered another two Himolla powered recliners (Sinatra) that were delivered this week.
Just fabulous, and very comfortable his/hers chairs to relax in - now in our living room.
Smiths of Harrogate are a good retailer and they just do what they say they’ll do… and that’s why they got the repeat business.
If there’s any complaint to Himolla it’s the cost of the optional battery pack. £270 is outrageous - especially if you need two!
We decided those were just too expensive… sadly.

We recently purchased a new Himolla furniture suite for our lounge, having previously bought Himolla sofas for our conservatory, which we've been really please with. The furniture is solidly built and very comfortable as well as looking great. I would happily recommend this furniture to others.

Just received our sofas, we are so pleased! The quality is absolutely top notch, and they are so comfy. We don’t want to get out of them!

My Himolla Cumuly leather manual recliner has just reached its 9th year and I am really pleased with it. On a couple of occasions after 6 years the springs under the seat have snapped but replacement from Himolla via my retailer was very quick. The leather on the arm rest is wearing through where my elbows rest but as I have practically lived in this chair for 9 years this should be expected. Really pleased with the chair, would definitely buy another one when replacement required.

My wife and I decided a while back, to splurge and purchased two larger sized, mosul recliner armchairs, upholstered in a beautiful, high quality tan leather.
They are SOOOO comfortable and stylish.
We absolutely love them and would highly recommend.
Great chairs & a great service.

Buyer beware. One of the frames has failed on our Cumuly three seater. There have been 4 attempts to fix it with incorrect parts supplied every time. We have been waiting for months for a metal frame that Himolla can't seem to supply. Two days ago the other seat on the sofa failed in exactly the same manner. The sofa wasn't even used on a daily basis. Absolutely rubbish quality and poor customer service. I am going to ask for a refund now as we have been unable to use it properly for months. Don't waste your money, they are poor Quality and not something I would expect from a German company.

Next instalment. I have still not had my Sofa and chair repaired as of this date. Hatters supplied a loan sofa while they were supposed to repair mine with new sponge bases supplied to them by Himolla (21/04/23) But after 4 weeks that Hatters have had my goods they say the have still not had the new sponge from Himolla. so they have had to return my units while we wait for them to receive the sponge.
Below is Himolla's last response to my complaint note dates.

My Mosul recliner has had many problems. It takes months estimated for my current problem) to get warranty issues fixed, if ever.
Currently my recliner won't stay upright. It is only the latest major repair needed. It also squeaks and has friction noises with the leather. The base doesn't properly attach to the chair, meaning you get crackling sounds and a rocking feeling; the repairman wanted me to take care of this myself, including parts. Anything sent back to them is on your nickel.
The USA Home Office is unhelpful and unempathetic.
Their Reply was to have patience. My store told me it woukd take 4 months. They sold me a lemon. Any honest company would swap it out immediately 2 MAJOR repairs & another 4 month wait! He wants patience? Btw. They received the issue last Tuesday not Friday— their arrogant USA staff )keeps bankers hours. Again 2 major repairs plus a crackling unbalanced chair. My store dropped their dealership w Himmola because of too many customer complaints about warranty work and deliveries according to Hanna, In partial summary someone told me to sue them!
I will see what happens today at the 1 week point or search for other directions to solve my problem— a huge lemon recliner taking up space, nowhere to sit, and some guy telling me to be patient for 4 months while they work on their lemon and finally send a repairman out who tells me I need to buy my own supplies and fix it myself I did provide my phone number to the reply er to the complaint but he never called

Originally had a cinema recliner bought from shop in Glasgow. Dye on leather wore off on arms after 2 years. Then spring on the recliner kept coming off and was never properly repaired. Got rid of after 4 years. Now have 2 nearly 2yr old recliner/swivel chairs from store at Tillicoultry which have never swivelled. (Should have learnt). First told by their fitter they would loosen up in time. After 15 months still not swivelling same fitter now says the swivel part not round like the base. Store doing what they can but no joy for them either. New part ordered 8 weeks ago - still waiting. Had contact from Himolla asking for more information. Sent info by return - heard nothing, Lovely looking furniture but avoid Himolla.......
Now 10 weeks. Shop informed us a fitter would call and make an appointment for today. Heard nothing - unless they expect us to be sitting waiting for them. All meaningless talk and promises from Himolla - be warned about this company

Discoloured area on one seat of recliner sofa. We had taken out Guardsman insurance, so contacted them. Their technician attended and advised that he could not clean this off and that he had seen it on another himolla sofa. His opinion was that it was colour from the foam that was coming through the leather. As the furniture was under warranty,14months old, we contacted the retailer who advised that it would need to be referred to himolla. A technician from representing himolla attended and his report was full of errors, but also stated that it was a lack of care and maintenance on our part. We have now taken legal advice on how to proceed.
Reply from Himolla, states that the foam in the sofa is orange, could this be the cause of the yellow colour coming through the leather ! It is not removable by cleaning. I detect bias on the part of the technician representing Himolla.

The reclining settee sections did not line up properly and the seats and back are hard and the fabric is rumpled and rucks up badly making the settee very un comfortable. We immediately got onto TR Hayes the suppliers who arranged with Himolla for an assessor to check the settee, they came back to say Himolla would send a technician to repair the settee.Still waiting for resolution after 4 months. Asking Hayes for a refund and removal of the settee but they seem to be ignoring emails. When you pay £3299.00 you expect as much comfort as the showroom model at least.
TR Hayes have now agreed to collect the settee and refund the payment. Our contact was on holiday and his auto reply did not let us know. Hayes are returning the settee to Himolla and we are going back to Hayes to find a replacement (probably 2 armchairs thas time!).

Himolla have been a god send for me. I have suffered with a bad back for years and have gone through numerous sofas and chairs all claiming to be good for me and my back. I have recently bought a Sinatra chair and I can finally relax without being in pain. The whole process of buying and delivery of my chair went smoothly and I wouldn't think twice about recommending Himolla to anyone. 5 star service, 5 star product.

Himolla Sinatra chairs purchased in 2021each costing £2500. Chairs arrived late June 2021 without locking clips. Took months to resolve -September 2021.Yesterday a clip and screws fell out of one chair. shop has gone out of business/no longer trading and cannot get in touch with service centre-the website is transparent as mud. Would never buy Himolla again. 5 year guarantee is useless

I bought a Himolla Mosel recliner in 2019. I was very clear that this would be a high use chair as my condition limits me mostly to the house. I needed a chair that would be comfortable and last 10 years.
What I seem to have bought, for some considerable expense, is a chair that is clearly built for limited daily use only.
I can reach no other conclusion given that for the second time the seat cushion has lost all support and is now frankly very uncomfortable. That will make three cushions in a little over three years.
Now I’m not a big bloke, 95kg, so don’t consider that expecting an expensive recliner to retain its purported use for 10yrs is unfair. But i ask others here, if you’ve spent getting on for £1500 on a recliner how many hours per day would you expect to use it and it still retain all the comfort and support expected?
I’m genuinely interested in others feedback. Personally I think using it, not continually, for 10 hrs/day is not unacceptable. Am i expecting too much?
Perhaps Himolla know that these chairs/materials will only sustain a certain number of hours use per day/week (guessing they must have extensive testing before issuing warranties) but either don’t have to or don’t want to tell the customer. I wish they had told me
of course as I would never of bought this chair knowing that they believe their chairs are to be looked at rather than used.
I’ve actually spent a little time reviewing their testing process and it seems they work with 75kg as the testing weight. Given the average male weight across Europe/USA ranges between 85kg - 90kg perhaps the furniture is designed for a lighter, female perhaps, user?
EDIT: As per the request from Himolla Ive already written to the store I purchased the chair from. They’ve written to Himolla and apparently they’ve told the store there’s nothing wrong with the chair!
All I’ve done is sit in the chair and as I’m 40kg less than their claimed testing weight of 135kg it remains a mystery as to why TWO seat cushions have failed in around three years.
I’ve written to Himolla asking them to outline how many hours per day/week usage their testing calculates the chair can tolerate before failure. They’ve yet to answer that question.

I have 2 Himolla Mosels at home and have yet to find any other chair to rival the support and comfort these chairs offer. My wife who was involved in a bad car accident has now been able to get some pain relief when she sits in hers at night.
To be completely transparent I am also a Himolla stockist and have been selling their products for nearly 10 years. I feel the spate of negative reviews being left on this site don't reflect the large number of satisfied clients out there including myself. Himolla have had some issues and the service has not been to their usual high standard. Only recently they have suffered a major cyber attack, staff shortages and ultimately the Brexit nonsense every European manufacturer is trying to fathom out which has made getting spare parts over to the UK insanely difficult.
No manufacturer is perfect but from our experience personally and commercially they are still one of the finest suppliers in the world.

Purchased a Himolla Mosel manual recliner. After waiting 4 months for delivery, I found the chair to be extremely comfortable. However after 6 weeks of use the mechanism underneath began to rip the fabrics. Reported the fault to the shop, they came and inspected and agreed it was a fault that would require the main part of the seat to be replaced.
Two months later I had not heard anything, so contacted retailer to chase.
After a few days they called back to say I needed to supply the swatch for a colour match. Meaning repair had not even started.
After contacting the director of the retailer they agreed to a complete replacement. Three months down the line replacement arrived damaged. Sent both chairs back and retailer gave a full refund.
Had thought it was retailer letting us down, reading these reports, looks like Himolla are the problem.
So pleased I checked these reviews, as I was going to purchase another, more expensive Himolla from another retailer. Have now changed my mind. And will start looking at other brands.

The sofas are very well made with a real feeling of quality. Unfortunately, the after sales service is terrible! The switch on one side of our 3yo electric recliner failed just over 2 months ago, but it has proved impossible to get it repaired through Himolla's UK service partners, who are now not responding to any of my e-mails. It has also proved impossible to get it repaired independently as the parts seem not to be available to anyone other than Himolla service partners. So, if you are buying a fixed seat chair/sofa or even a manual recliner you should be fine, but avoid the electric recliners as they seem more trouble than they are worth.

We purchased a three seater electric recliner curved sofa and and chair from Sterling Warehouse in Tillicoultry Scotland. Very disappointed in the finish on both pieces of very expensive furniture. We decided to buy the sofa and chair and pay the price for ultimate comfort and hoped for great quality.
On both pieces of furniture the staples are very visible on the sides on the piping and on the tilting table on the sofa, for the cost of the furniture we were expecting top quality. We have put a complaint in to the retailer but we feel we are getting nowhere and want a Himolla Technician to get in touch to sort this issue. As i have read on this site, the customer service aftercare is like the finish very poor! Gravely disappointed to say the least. Photos have been taken and sent to Sterling who said they have been emailed to Himolla, after 3 calls from me on progress a technician came out to look at the furniture and the man agreed the staples should not be visible but then reported that there are no manufacturer faults. Another technician is to come out again to give a second opinion, simply dreadful service, if it was cheap furniture we would understand but over 7k for the sofa and a chair its just not acceptable
