If I could give no stars I would

I bought a very expensive light from this company. When it arrived the unit did seem a bit flimsy but once it was fitted it did look nice. However, three days in and the bulbs started to go and flicker. We changed all the bulbs which cost £35 a time using the box spec that was provided with the original bulbs. My husband fitted these and on turning on the light we were met with a loud bang and the light blew our electrics in the bedroom and all of the upstairs. I emailed Homelava with pictures of the black Mark's on the light etc and explained the situation. The response was that we had used the wrong bulbs. We had followed the instructions and used their box with their light bulb specifications. Very unhelpful customer service response. We were sent a picture of the bulb we should use and we once again spent another £35 on more bulbs. Customer service also offered us a new unit for £103.00! The light was £129.00 to begin with. Today we have put the new bulbs in, the same bang and all the electrics have blown again but this time it has broken our light switch in the bedroom which will now have to be replaced. Basically this light will be going in the bin tomorrow and replaced with one from a proper shop in the UK, where you can take items back or have them replaced if they are faulty. Homelava dont care all they want is more money out of you. All in all this light has cost us nearly £200.00 and it will just be going in the bin. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY I DO NOT THINK THEY ARE LIGITIMATE.

Update: Homelava refunded me £40 but only to take down the negative review. The light wasn't out of warranty, the same bulbs were used to replace as came with the light. Again do not use this company. The light went to the tip a long time ago now and I have only £40 to show for it. These lights are definitely faulty and not to british standard. They also don't know or understand trading standards.

If there is any problem about the product, after receive the product and start to install it, you can kindly check on it carefully and contact us asap, then we can try our best to help you with resolve it.
After checking, we noticed that the problem was caused by the wrong voltage of the bulbs you changed, and the light had got burnt, it needs to replace an entire light, and we considering you have spent a lot of money to purcahse some bulbs and try to solve it by yourself, we applied for a discount for you. So finnally, the sales price of this light is £129.00, we only charge you £103.00(shipping cost has included). If you think the discount price is not acceptable, you can kindly pay the sale price of £129.00 to us, it's okay.
And considering you are not willing to pay for a new light, and though it has out of our warranty time, after our negociation, we still have issued a refund for you, so we think this issue has been resolved? Thank you for your understanding.

I agree with many other reviewers about…

I agree with many other reviewers about this company.Do not buy from them. I bought taps from them they were enormously delayed versus their website promise. So late in fact I no longer could use them. Returns are impossible, they put all the risk onto purchaser and as you can see from other reviewers they don’t even accept the returned items. I expect they will reply to this review with their “set piece” of insincere “So sorry, but”...

Love the ceiling fan light - unique!

So pleased with our recent purchase from HomeLava. Unfortunately, there was a bit of a delay with the delivery, due to Covid-19, but we were kept informed and any queries we had were answered immediately by email.
Overall, a very positive experience and we will certainly recommend HomeLava to our friends.
The ceiling fan light is perfect and so far we haven't seen anything else like it anywhere.

Complaint responded quickly

We ordered for the second time. The first time was 4 ceiling lights and 2 curtains. Perfect service and good quality with easy assembly. - This time we ordered a pendant lamp, it is a bit difficult to assemble, something can always go wrong. Homelava reacted immediately to my complaint and keeped helping until my problem (assembly) was solved. THAT is important and therefore we will order again.

Buyer beware

I tried to return a product and they refused to give me the returns address for over 3 weeks and I had to email 11 times.
I then got the address and postage was over £80 to return.
They then rejected the delivery and sent it back.

I still don't have my refund over 3 months later.

If anyone would like to see the email thread that I have kept. It is available to all that want it. Contact trustpilot and I can get it to them.

Terrible experience

Terrible experience. Do not buy. Poor quality products and awful customer service. They do not refund even if you return the product. I regret buying there. A waste of money.

By accident I buy 120V, but in Europe 220V, so sales notice that,they ask are you sure in uk 🇬🇧 120V? Thanks god they notice, so they were happy to change Voltage, can’t wait to see how it looks on the ceilings

Do not buy from this company

Do not buy from this company. I BouGHT A FLASH LIGHT paid over £70 and the product is so bad that i will not be using the lamp.Poor plastic finish, looks cheap...not worth it even £10.when i told them i aould like to return the product they asked me to pay £75 for the return service !Very unprofessional service, not helpful at all.

Sold me a light fixture that does not…

Sold me a light fixture that does not meet United States National Electrical Code. Made it extremely difficult to return. Also the return itself is very expensive because company is based in China. I returned anyway on principal. Now they are claiming that the light fixture has been scratched and refusing to reimburse me my money. I WOULD NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY - YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED.

Poor quality products! Bad service! Customer pays return to China + 10% FEES

Be very cautious with HomeLava! I bought 2 ceiling lights, arrived quickly but shockingly poor quality products, Unfinished, nothing like the nice pictures on their website! I have been trying to return the lights for weeks, HomeLava does everything to prevent that. Finally agreed to refund for one of the lights but not refunded yet. For the second light they ask me to send to China plus 10% restocking fee the total cost is more then the light! Their products are very expensive for the quality you get!
I have bought many lights online,as our house was under complete renovation, HomeLava are by far the worst quality and customer service.

BAD BAD BAD COMPANY... They Suck.

The only reason I put 1 star is because there is no option to mark 0 stars. Awful
Company, awful customer service. The product does not work and this people keeps playing around With my time... asking for photos and videos of the product conected so they can see the stupid lamp does not work. DONT BUY FROM THEM! You will regret it... Home Lava sucks... They are not even In the US, they are located in China and if you have to return the product YOU as a customer pay the shipping costs to CHINA.

Bad Quality and even worse customer…

Bad Quality and even worse customer service. Items did not work. In this case it was a ceiling light (flower) did not light up after installation. Packages were missing instructions and customer service does not respond to attempts to contact.

Very good product and excellent services

In the beginning, I was a bit concerned about the products, but when I received the lamps and assembled them, they look gorgeous and exactly like the pictures on the website.
The services of HOMELAVA was excellent. They responded to my request and emails swiftly.

Average quality with waiting

Order the light. Waited about a 1.5 month to get it to USA. Chinese company and the light wasn’t as pretty as shown on pictures. I found later that you can buy better quality in United States stores fo the same money or less without waiting.

A word of warning

A word of warning: this is a chinese company and any return charges have to be paid for by the purchaser. Be prepared for this before you make the purchase. I am now in receipt of a towel shelf i don't want that will cost me more to return than it's worth.
