Loved our light...until it flickered…
Loved our light...until it flickered and stopped working 6 months later! Problem with faulty LEDs (we paid our local electrician to change driver but thst was not the issue). Extremely bad customer service - Home Lava offered us 51% reduction on buying a new one although it is still under the so called 1 year guarantee. We argued about the guarantee and were told we would have to send it to them in China at our expense....and they would only accept delivery from specific companies (ie the most expensive ones!). Were also told we would have to pay for them to send it back!
Much correspondence with them to no avail. We don't trust them not to send us another faulty one so have bought the same light elsewhere online. I totally agree with the reviewer who called this a sham company based on lies and deceit. All the good reviews are from people who have not had a problem, or whose problems were to do with faults already found on delivery.
The Home Lava light is in the garage until we get a proper response from Home Lava, otherwise it's going to the dump!

I orderd a glass sink, and received it,edges of glass defected.Was cutting my finger. After contacting the customer service, they apologized to me and resent a new one quickly. Any way, the sink is beautiful and their customer service is great, recommend!

I bought a big chandelier from this…
I bought a big chandelier from this company, I am pleasantly suprised by the quality of construction. One of the 15 arms was broken during shipping, and they quickly sent the replacement. It is not so easy to assemble the chandelier, I need to attach arms, hange wires and get it wired. The instruction paper was not so clear, but they sent me a video to show every step, I did it all by myself. I cannot believe how beautiful it is when I put it up. Great product and great company.
Junk Products, poor quality and risky
The product was not sent from the Netherlands as advertised, but from China. The Product has a number of quality issues:
Smells like hell, even after 4 weeks!
Very poor painting quality
Scretches
Electirc installation is incomplete
Electric Installation is not in accordance with EU Standards and clearly a risk of fire!
After complains, the company asked me to sent the product back to China on my own expenses, as they did not accept the quality issues and considered it a return on my sole decision.
After discussions, I got a 50% refund without sending the junk back.
The only positive thing: Customer Support is quick and writes in good german.

Avoid homelava like a plague.
As lik many many homelava customers we are going through an extremely stressful experience with this so called company. £85 for an LED ceiling light, overdue delivery date by a week, they ignore all emails and don't respond, tracking number not known. This is leading to us being scammed. All I can say is avoid this company like the plague, the should be investigated by the consumer watchdog service. Everyone avoid, avoid and avoid again, theyre scamming.

Pleasantly surprised! Glad I didn’t listen to other people’s reviews
After I ordered my antler chandelier I came on here & read other people’s reviews in horror!! I completely regretted not checking before I handed over £200. I received an email shortly after from their customer services saying I had ordered the wrong voltage for a uk household & to give them permission to change it for me (with no charge)- this made me feel slightly at ease as I knew then it was a legit website & they must care to extent about their customers. Shortly after, my chandelier arrived. It was in perfect condition, good quality, exactly like the photo & what I expected. It was easy to assemble & put up & works perfectly. So happy with my purchase it looks perfect. I can’t actually fault my experience with homelava at all, I’ve had worse with well know known companies!
Not sure this is legitimate!!
Same story as others on here. Ordered a ceiling light for £50 something pounds. When it arrived it was the most terrible piece of junk I had ever seen! I was furious with the quality of the item. I did contact them only to be told I had to take pictures of the item to confirm the item was still in original box and as I received it. I argued that if the quality was bad then this was irrelevant under my consumer rights (not sure if that was correct) but I smelt a fat rat!
After receiving my pictures they advised they would give me the return address in one working day... very very odd!! Why the delay?
The address I was then sent was a customers name, address and telephone number. I was requested to send the item directly to the next customer!! As you can imagine I was livid. They had no intention of inspecting the item and as far as I could see clearly breaking data protection laws!! How do I know my details hadn’t been shared.
They gave me some story about Warehouse issues! I was very reluctant in sending it back but I need my money back. So I have also paid postage twice, and the next customer has also paid the postage that I have paid.. utterly disgraceful and unprofessional.
This company is now ignoring me.. I have no light and no refund!!
Stay well away people!
**Update** since posting this Homelava have contacted me. I did get my refund on the understanding I remove this post. I thought about removing it but changed my mind as I want people to be aware of what is going on. Some people’s comments are positive. However I do not believe this company is enforcing processes and therefore it’s a gamble if it works out for you. There items are expensive and it’s a lot of money you may be throwing away.

You look at it and it looks like it’s worth 5 bucks! I tried contacting them over and over again, but they were on “vacation” lol finally they want me to return it with o return label and they don’t want to give me the full refund! Please be smart buy from Wayfair or houzz which I love those online places! This place is a scam

My wife spotted a beautiful Centrepiece ceiling light fitting on the web, she showed me a picture of a gorgeous ball of seemingly dozens of small pinpoints of LED's and I agreed it would look literally brilliant where we intended for it to go. Available in 30cm, 40cm and 50cm, we chose 40cm for £170 something pounds. She paid immediately with my Paypal. WEEKS later, a very large box arrived and I excitedly opened it in front of my wife. What was inside looked like something a teenager had knocked up out of recycled baked bean tins in a metalwork experiment. Also, it was 45cm in diameter according to the poorly photocopied specifications. Worse still, we had actually been charged nearly £270 for this pile of scrap metal. Imagine my absolute delight as I read the misfortunes of those who had gone before me here. Of course, the return address is in China and not London as their website would have you believe. I complained bitterly to Paypal and they have agreed to refund me the cost of the lamp, but not the postage, which was - wait for it - One hundred pounds and ten pence (£100.10). As I type, I have no update from Paypal, which was due three days ago, no lamp and I am missing over £370 from my budget to renovate the room that is now awaiting a real centre lamp. I should also point out that my refund from Paypal is dependant upon these scammers actually confirming delivery of the returned junk, even though it is tracked, if they do not confirm receipt, then it would seem that Paypal is prepared to side with them, what a shock, they must be making millions from them. My advice, late as it is, is never deal with these thieves or any other scumbag company that you have not researched first - Duh! - and always ALWAYS pay with your CREDIT CARD, NOT PAYPAL.
Descriptions & Pictures Don't Match Products
The lights received don't match the colours as described on the website & in the photos. They took ages to arrive & despite my telling them the account tracking details they provided didn't work, they didn't update them. Trying to return the lights as have blatantly been mis-sold but return address is China - they won't cover postage & will charge 10% restock fee for their errors. Lights are also poor quality & not as demonstrated on website. Really disappointing experience. Seriously not worth the hassle buying these low quality products as you'll be charged to return them! Avoid this shoddy company like the plague!!
