I had a Wikibuy popup for Hotel Storm…

I had a Wikibuy popup for Hotel Storm and without reading any reviews I booked a one night stay. We had absolutely no problems with the reservation and/or charges. However, once I read all the negative reviews I constantly worried for the next three weeks that something was going to happen. The small savings was not worth all the worrying I was doing. I will save my sanity next time and use a more established booking site.

RIPOFF

YUP - if ever HotelStorm pops up to offer you a discount - just RUNAWAY! Total ripoff. They charged me $183.00 for a room. When I got my statement from the motel, I found out that they paid the motel $106.00 for my room - that's what - 40% profit for them.

RIPOFF

ABSOLUTE BS COMPANY

A follow up to my previous review. I reviewed their F-up a week ago. I had gotten nothing but push back on getting my money returned, let alone asking them to refund my money and pay for the room I had to then pay for. They cannot do that that of course but would I like to cancel the reservation to process a refund ??? NO, it was 5 days ago and it NEVER existed according to the hotel. After repeated emails I get this response. "The hotel is not very cooperative on reversing the charges made by mistake on our credit card, so for that reason we went ahead and refunded you in full for this reservation. We process the refunds immediately but your bank can take up to 5 business days to reflect that on your statement. WTH ? The hotel never had a reservation for me so why would they refund them money that was not paid ??? Waiting for my refund and filing a BBB (better business bureau) formal complaint

Beware of HotelStorm pop-up ads

Do not book through HotelStorm. They are a rip-off organization. Filled out a pop-up ad for a hotel room and the confirmation came back with the wrong date. Asked them to change it and they said they couldn't do it because I filled out the form. Give me a break. I called the hotel and they said they couldn't help because HotelStorm owned the reservation. BUYER BEWARE. They got me for $134 don't let them get you.

ALL for trying to save $13 ...

ALL for trying to save $13 .... THIS IS WHY I DON'T MAKE RESERVATIONS ONLINE !!!!!
I was booking a hotel through Hotels.com and I got a notification from wikibuy that they had found that hotel room for cheaper price. I followed the link and booked the room through Hotelstorm. When the confirmation came through it was for the wrong set of days. I immediately googled a number for HS to ask to change the reservation due to having the wrong date put in. I was informed that it was non-refundable. If I wanted to cancel there would be a $75 charge deducted from my refund.
I didn't want to cancel I just wanted to change the DATE.
I spoke with a " Sheri" and she stated they would need to contact the hotel to see if anything is available for the dates i needed and i had to wait a few hours for them to call the hotel. An hr later I contacted the hotel and spoke with the reservation lady and asked if there are rooms available for the date needed she said yes so then i asked has anyone from HOTEL STORM attempted to contact her she said NO .. so now I am livid and I was trying to do the right thing but this is just ridiculous.

Avoid this site at all possible costs!

Avoid this site at all possible costs!! I booked a room for one night with them for July 6, 2019 in St. Louis MO. I secured the room with a debit card and was immediately charged $138.39. I have never had a hotel make me pre-pay for a reservation only, and I thought it was odd, but went with it. When I checked out of the room, the hotel gave me a receipt stating the room charges were $109. I asked them about a refund of the difference and they stated HotelStorm would need to do that. I contacted them and was told "the hotel should not have provided you with a wholesaler receipt" and "we assure you that other guests who booked and stayed at the hotel at the same time as you paid the same or a similar rate." This is a direct quote from their email. They refuse to refund the difference to me. I confirmed with the hotel that the receipt they provided is indeed the rate for the room. I will be contacting the BBB and other groups. Please, do NOT use this site!

Apparently hotelstorm has changed its…

Apparently hotelstorm has changed its practices. This morning I booked for the wrong date. I called them immediately and the r said she’d look into changing to the right date. I waited a few hours, read this pace, got scared and called her back. She did change us to the correct date and gave us a hotel confirmation number. She was very helpful and I’m keeping fingers crossed that it all works out.

Beware

Beware! I was using Travigo to book a room and got a pop up say I could book the exact same room for a lower price, which was correct, but the HotelStorm site changed the dates to provide the lower price without letting the customer(me) know. I didn't notice the date change until I printed the confirmation and no chances are allowed. I was generous when I gave them one star, I would have given no star if possible.

Stay away from HotelStorm

I had submitted a search on a major search site and got sent through to HotelStorm by a browser extension (which I have since removed) which promised me savings. My original search was for 2 nights a couple of weeks out. The confirmation I received was for tonight, and only for the one night! This is non-refundable! When I called customer support I was told that since it was non-refundable I would have to make another booking for the next night and ask to stay in the same room. On calling the actual hotel I was told that they don't actually have any rooms for the dates I requested and that was likely why they had defaulted to that night and only the one night. Since it was a third party, they had no power to change the reservation either although she did say that they would do a free cancellation. However, on calling HotelStorm back, they stuck by their $75 cancellation fee.
Essentially I paid them this money for the privilege of engaging in an hours worth of futile conversation.
Thanks, that is the first and last dollar this company will ever receive from me.

Stay away.

Don’t expect quality service

Misleading room description led me to booking the incorrect room. multiple calls to customer service to confirm and clarify this were no help. First time I called to confirm I was getting a private bedroom with a living room, the agent could only confirm that I booked a family double room and ‘thought’ that it would have a private room. When I called Hilton directly to confirm, they could not confirm my reservation/identity since a different zip code and number was attached to my reservation.

Long story short- I tried to save $50, but will likely end up losing much more due to this inconvenience.

NOT WORTH IT TO DO BUSINESS WITH THIS THIRD PARTY. Their customer service agent told me that her communication with her supervisor was only in person and that they did not communicate through email or phone.
Interesting way to do business in 2019.

HORRIBLE CORRUPT SERVICE

HORRIBLE CORRUPT SERVICE. I booked a hotel room and paid in advance. When I got to Hotel "Queens Country Inn & Suites", the hotel REFUSED to help me with my luggage (I am disabled), and left me standing without service for a half hour while waiting on male customers who came in AFTER me. Rude, disrespectful FD agent "Patal" talked down to me and told me "not to get emotional" when he refused to provide access to my PAID room. Then Customer Service, who hangs up and refuses to call back. tells me that they "will try" to get a refund but that they might have to deduct "$75 due to non cancellation period". They fail to appreciate that this willful breach and refusal to accommodate is a breach of the deal and they cannot accept "Consideration" without "PERFORMING". Real mess and I would urge people to NOT EVEN BOTHER.

DON’T book through them!!

I can’t believe I didn’t do my research before booking through them. Their system glitches and booked me for the wrong days. They will not refund me or change the booking date. There is no room for issues or errors, zero flexibility. Their customer service says they will try to resolve the issue and then never call you back. DO NOT book through them! I wish I had known.

AVOID HOTELSTORM

I recently stayed a best western at 1635 East Main Street, Saint Charles, Illinois 60174. I booked through HotelStorm due to a T-mobile Tuesday deal and felt i really got as good of a price as i could get for memorial day weekend with several hotels in the area being booked. I was charged immediately and was no indication that that would happen. I felt it was slightly aggravating but didn't think too much about it and paid it in full the following day. Fast forward 4 months and now i get to the hotel and am shown my 2 queen bedroom but it was a smoking room. I hate smoking and was immediately put off by being put in the room.

I told the management that there must be some mistake because i have my receipt from hotel storm right here and it says "2 queen beds''. "well it came over to us as a smoking room, so there's nothing we can do." I was the very first and only car in that hotel parking lot this past thursday. They could have put me in a nonsmoking room before any other guest arrived but didn't. I contact hotel storm informing them of the error and they have the gall to say "Well you should have put nonsmoking room in the special requests line that's hidden at the bottom" Are you kidding me? What kind of bush league travel website has you have to manually write in if you want a nonsmoking room? And the best part of that is that they even told me "it's also not a guarantee if you write it in anyways". The biggest thing that has aggravated me throughout this whole experience is that there has been 0 accountability from either side on what they could have done to help me out. Not even a thing as simple as "10% off your next stay" or something. At least then i would have given them credit and would have just not written this review. But here i am.

TLDR; Don't use HotelStorm or BestWestern they won't help you when you need it.

This company has shady business…

This company has shady business practices. The $$ values changed between me selecting a hotel and the purchase going through, and it was not made clear until I got the receipt. At which point they charge $75 USD to cancel the booking. What a joke. Absolutely would not recommend you use these people, there are far better services out there. Scam!

They're crooks

They're crooks, I thought I was smart and wouldn't get fooled by them, but they swapped the price shown on the final payment page and I paid like a fool. Called them immediately and there was absolutely 100% nothing they could do, and was told that prices change all the time - apparently even when they're holding the deal for me to enter my card information. TAKE YOUR TIME if you're going to use them, and make sure you shop around. Better to just not use them at all though to be honest.
