Too Risky Too Use

I booked a room at the Hotel Edison in NYC. When we got there the hotel had no record of our booking. I showed them my confirmation receipt but the manager said he was sorry but there was nothing in his computer. He suggested I call HotelStrom which I did. They took down all my information and within an hour the hotel had the confirmation and we got our room. After reading all the one star reviews I would consider myself lucky as I had a happy ending. I would not use them again.

Worst experience ever

Worst experience ever. Reserved a nonsmoking room with double beds. Got to the hotel, was given a room with twin beds and it reeked of smoke. (I coughed all night). Bathroom and ceiling over "closet" had mold. Bathroom floor all wet from shower dripping. Hotel claimed they received the reservation just before I arrived. Basically, I feel like I was screwed twice.

Will NEVER use Hotelstorm again.

Buyer beware and contact Consumer Protection Division

Buyer beware! This business has no ethical structure. I booked a stay well into a month in advance with Hotelstorm.com to visit our extended family in Delaware. It was the first time my girls were staying away from home and they were a little scared until I told them I would make sure to book a hotel with an indoor pool. It was between Sheraton and Holiday Inn Express. We went with Sheraton. On the first day of our booking, we arrived at the hotel around 7 pm. I went in to check in before we were to all unload. I was told by the reception attendant that the indoor pool was shut down and would be closed for at least a week. I said that won't work because I have been telling my 5 & 7 yr old girls about this for a month and getting them psyched to spend the night away from home. He said to not check in and call HotelStorm for a refund. I called and Stephen answered and told me the company would be keeping $75.00 of my money for nothing in some ridiculously made up fee they use to excuse themselves to stealing my hard earned money. I told him I need to speak with a supervisor and he had me on hold for 10 minutes to say the supervisor was not there. At this point, we are getting more than a bit hungry bc of the time and he said he would fill out a waiver request for the fee and call me back within a week.
We then had to pay the full blown price at the Holiday in for our stay because we did not book in advance, even though we kinda did, you know what I mean? I never heard back from Stephen. That is what the HotelStorm does so they can keep your $ and just send you an email that gets lost in your spam folder saying that here is all the refund you are going to get from us and we ARE keeping your $75.00. I hope everyone will see this review. If this has happened to you, file with the Office of the Attorney General Consumer Protection Division. I just mailed out my complaint today. I hope to get my money back or they get slapped with a big ole' fine! If there are enough complaints against them, it will get the attention of a class action lawyer, fingers crossed. I run a business and would never treat my clientele like this. It is without morals and despicable.

Horrible customer service

When I got to the hotel their indoor pool had just went out of order which was the main reason for reserving this hotel so my kids could play in the pool. I called hotelstorm to see if they could refund my money or transfer my reservation to another hotel which they was willing to do but only after trying to charge an extra $75 even though the hotel itself was willing to refund my full amount without any stipulations due to the fact that I had no way of knowing their pool was out of order. The GM from the hotel even spoke with the operator from hotelstorm and they still refused to waive the $75, the GM asked to speak with his manager and was told that there was not a manager available. This is the worst experience I have ever had reserving a room and I will never use hotelstorm again. Thank you for being jerks about a situation I had no control over!

After repeatedly contacting them for help, I had to contact the hotel management directly and mend the situation on my own. Thankfully the management took me on my word, and I didn't need to count on this service. They were delayed in response and had misinformation twice.

Absolutley horrible...we searched up a hotel to book in Sheraton in Niagara Falls, Ontario in Canada and a hotel for a Sheraton Niagara Falls in the USA popped up. We ended up booking the hotel in the states and I called the HotelStorm support line. They wouldn't refund us telling us it is our fault for booking it incorrectly....In order to get a POSSIBLE refund you need to WAIT A WEEK for some techincal engineer to take a look at it. I had someone double check the search and it was indeed Niagara Fall Ontario that we searched up. Please get this fixed or else other people will book the wrong hotel. DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE

Easy to use, best prices

HotelStorm total price is always less than any other sites. They have a good array of hotels too. I've stayed multiple times and it has been seamless; no problems at the hotels. You should definitely check them whenever searching for a place to stay.

They booked me in the wrong hotel in the wrong night. Basically hijacking me via the Wikibuy app. I tried to cancel within one minute of booking and they wanted to charge me a $75 cancelation fee.

Avoid like the plague. Wikibuy is affiliated but doesn't own them. They should sever ties.

This is the worst experience EVER!!

This is the worst experience EVER!!! They took my money but never booked my room. I sat out in the parking lot waiting for help 30 minutes. I was hung up on. I called back & was placed on hold for another 30 minutes. I call back again & finally get some help. My reservation was located. The manager said Hotelstorm goes through Priceline. So it's probably best to go through Priceline for reservations or Hotelstorm.

Likely SCAM according to AMEX

The worst customer experience I've ever had.

I had to dispute my charge with AMEX, who said, "this company is likely pulling a common SCAM within the industry. Companies like HotelStorm will intentionally allow you to overbook, then tell you at the last minute that the hotel is full. They do this to either get you to cancel with no refund or to get you into a cheaper hotel with the same fee".

I booked a hotel 3 weeks in advance with HotelStorm. On the day I was supposed to arrive and check in, I got an email saying the hotel was overbooked. The hotel confirmed it was the fault of the booking agent, not the hotel. HotelStorm offered an alternative, which I accepted. An hour later I got another email saying that hotel was overbooked. From there, I had to convince them to find me another alternative. They kept trying to get me into the cheapest hotels, miles and miles from my original destination. At one point they booked a hotel for me and called me after saying they booked it, "but had accidentally made the reservation for the wrong day and couldn't fix it". Crap like this continued for 12 hours. I was at the airport with no hotel, and nowhere to sleep, and then I used a competitor (HotelTonight). Using the competitor, I got a nice hotel in the right location for the same price as my original booking. I wish I'd used the competitor from the beginning.

HotelStorm, you guys genuinely suck at what you do. If I had known you sucked this bad, I would have kept my money far far away from your crummy clutches.

DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE

DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE. I made a reservation through them that did not work out. I would have been OK with the outcome if the customer service had not been SO HORRIBLE. They lied to me on several occasions and made no true effort to resolve my issue. I wish that I could have given them no stars.

The Worst

The Worst

I was booking a hotel through Hotels.com and I got a notification from wikibuy that they had found that hotel room for cheeper price. I followed the link and booked the room through Hotelstorm. When the confirmation came through it was for the wrong set of days. My visit started on the day I was supposed to be checking out. I immediately called Hotestorm's customer service number to change the reservation. I was informed that it was non-refundable and there was nothing they could do. If I wanted to cancel there would be a $80 charge deducted from my refund. I was then told I could call back the next day to speak to a manager who might be able to help me. I called back the next day during the hours the rep gave me. The new rep informed me that there still wasn't a manager in because of the holidays. They didn't know when a manager would be in and informed that it didn't matter, because they wouldn't be able to help me either. Currently working with my credit card company to dispute the charge.

This app should be shut down

This was a T-Mobile Tuesday offer. I carefully read the fine print and noted that the offer did not include reservations made through booking.com. Yet when I used the hotelstorm app, the price quote showed the coupon discount for hotels listed only by booking.com. If you actually went through the reservation process--booking.com--no discount was applied. HotelStorm: if you exclude reservations made on booking.com then why does your app link to booking.com? Only one hotel on Hotel.Storm app actually had the discounted rate and its nightly rate started at $488 a night. I am relieved that I recognized these inconsistencies before I spent any money. This app should be shut down.
