Samen ontwikkelden ze de eigentijdse en oprechte formule I-KOOK met als missie: “voor iedereen persoonlijke aandacht en begeleiding met als uitkomst een unieke, kwalitatieve en betaalbare keuken”. De eerste winkel werd in 2001 in Hattem, onder de rook van Zwolle, geopend. Inmiddels zijn er 28 winkels die met succes draaien. De uitgangspunten van toen vormen nog steeds de basis voor de laatst geopende winkels: gewoon eerlijk zijn zonder onnodige opsmuk en fantasie en altijd voor de beste prijs! Typically, I'm not one to write reviews. But I feel I should write this one as I have never been so satisfied as I am with Zieneb from ikook. This knowledgeable lady took the time to walk us through the different kitchen options.
Zieneb showed us a variety of different materials and cabnetry and applications and appliances that could be incorporated into our design.
Zieneb had a tremendous amount of patience and genuine care for what we asked for in our design and truly helped us put together a work of art for our price range..
We picked out the kitchen we wanted, made the deal and it was agreed that I would do the demolition and prefabrication on preparing to accept the new kitchen as designed.
While my wife had trepidations about the completion of my work, I sent fotos to Zieneb and she inturn contacted my wife and eased her mind letting her know that everything was on track.
Zieneb quickly answered any questions I had with the drawings and placement of all the water/electrical and plumbing connections.
I have to say we had been to a few competitors and didn't like thier attitudes and our prices. After dropping into ikook and meeting with Zieneb she was like a breath of fresh air.
You know in a world where you hear so many horror stories about kitchen places, we are and I am so happy to report our experience was top notch, professional and attentive.
Other than a few very small details to be taken care of Zieneb has been on top of it in every instance.
So far to date Zieneb has bent over backwards to make sure our experience was a positive one.
Would I recommend Zieneb and ikook - YES!!!!

My initial experience with I-Kook was promising — Alex at the workshop was helpful, clear, and efficient in drawing up plans and setting everything in motion. But once the installation process began, the experience went sharply downhill.
I chose I-Kook’s full service, trusting them to manage both delivery and installation. The installer they arranged, however, tried to bribe me for extra payment. I later found out he had tax issues and that I-Kook were already trying to distance themselves from him — yet still assigned him to my job. Rather than doing the work himself, he sent two other men who clearly lacked the necessary skill.
The result was a catalogue of issues:
Silicone sealing around the worktop was badly done and incomplete — an entire side was missed.
The kitchen was installed too close to the wall, meaning the freezer door couldn’t open fully due to a radiator — despite this being accounted for in the original plans.
Because of this misalignment, some flooring that should have been covered was left exposed.
Most concerningly, the island top cracked in less than two months — in a low-use area. Despite Alex’s attempts to help, the supplier refused to take responsibility. I-Kook works with a supplier that offers no warranty once materials are delivered, which I find unacceptable. It suggests very little confidence in their own products.
I-Kook did eventually send two workmen to fix some of the issues. They replaced a panel next to the fridge to neaten the appearance and redid the silicone — but once again, it was done poorly (so much so that there was leaking around the sink). In the end, I had to bring in my own professional to redo the silicone properly. The fundamental placement problem couldn’t be rectified without reinstalling the entire kitchen, which left me with the ongoing inconvenience and cost of replacing a radiator so I could actually open my freezer.
I raised the installation issues in October 2024, the crack in January 2025 — it’s now July 2025. I’ve spent time and money correcting problems that should never have happened in the first place, and I’m still left with a cracked island top.
Would not recommend — poor quality control, poor supplier accountability, and frustrating aftercare.

The person who did help me in the I-KOOK was Stefanie Unkel.
It went well from the very first day: since I did have understand what I needed, she carefully wrote everything down, asked all the clarifying questions needed and gave me the best quotation ever. And I am not saying it lightly: I have been actively searching for a kitchen since last November due to a limited budget and I have seen it all. Stefanie found a way to fit what was needed into my very humble budget and provided a very nice delivery time as well.
The kitchen was delivered in good order, with one small bump and two drivers that were not cut to the length we discussed. Stefanie filed the complaint and 2 new drawers and a replacement facade plank will be delivered in 8 weeks. This issue was resolved with patience and on time, which gave me a piece of mind. I am a happy person now. Thanks to Stefanie and I-KOOK I do have a great kitchen without any compromises. Thank you.

The delivery and installation process was just as smooth. The team was punctual, professional, and clearly experienced. Everything was installed with care, and the final result looks amazing. All appliances and fittings work well.

AVOID The Amsterdam store at all costs!
Great experience before you actually shop, once you pay non existing after sales customer service.
Do your self a favor and pay a small extra for better service. Especially if they send you Ronnie (Ron) van Doorn for installation. External contractor.
Charged extra for electricity connect of the island, ruined are floor with cheap cut corners solution, leading to extra repair costs.
i.e Installed the electricity cable with no canal on the floor, leading to floor slacks wobbling and loosing connections. Due to bad installation issue became apparent after 1 1/2 year.
We back and forth on whos’ fault and no one gets accountability.
Ronnie of course not responding calls, messages or emails. Zero after sales customer service from ikook, avoid at all costs!
Very interesting for new customers, check in trust pilot and google maps how the company responds only to positive feedback and not the developmental one.
We have bought a kitchen from the Amsterdam branch earlier this year (contract signed Dec 2023 and got it installed in March 2024). Note that we had some delays on some products but it mostly went smooth and the kitchen looks great.
Terrible Service from iKook Amsterdam - AVOID AT ALL COSTS!
I had an extremely disappointing experience with iKook Amsterdam. I ordered a kitchen with full appliances, but the installation was a disaster. The official iKook installer made incorrect cuts on more than three panels, and despite my repeated requests, I still haven't received the replacement panels.
But that's not even the worst part. The installer was clearly inexperienced and ended up breaking my brand new Bosch washing machine. It cost me €700 to fix, and iKook has yet to reimburse me for this expense. The situation is completely unacceptable.
I've had to have the Bosch engineering team visit twice to assess the damage, with one visit costing €120 and the other €600. Both reports clearly show that the installation was done incorrectly, and Ikook did not return the amount up to now.
I will never go back to this kitchen provider, and I strongly advise others to stay away as well.

Terrible customer service with no updates throughout the whole process on delivery dates/times. I had to chase them every time for an update. They took measurements at the house and floors checked, yet during installation they did not provide the right sized panels.
I chased 9th May for an update on the delivery of the correct sized items, only to get an answer on the 27th June...
The kitchen was booked to be completed in April, but was actually finished mid-July!
Without any prior warning the installer messaged saying he was 30mins away on a date that wasn't as agreed, so had to convince work for me to leave urgently. Again, poor communication.
The wine cooler was not delivered on time, and when it did arrive it was damaged with dents and scratches, and it took 3 months to get any sort of compensation for the damage.
Even emails I have from I-KOOK state their customer service has not been good, yet they still provided bad service after saying this. They say what you want to hear but do nothing about it in the end.
I do not recommend this company for your new kitchen - But if you do choose them, do not agree to the upfront payment they demand, because once they have your money they don't care.
1 star is for the kitchen design actually being nice.
Your service is too bad. Never buy a kitchen with them. How is it possible that I wait a month for the kitchen and they send it to me incomplete and the answer that she gives you is that those things happen that shi is that that happens only when the company does not do good service
We just want to have a transition from gas range to electric cooking.But with a good advise of Jan Mol we ended up buying a new kitchen for a good price .Assembling & installation is included in the price .Thank you, Jan. We can't wait so long and Jan promise to have the kitchen the soonest possible.

I received a call from the owner of the store on Sunday afternoon and he provided his sincere apologies. He also mentioned this is not the way that they work, we had a good conversation. Based on the follow up customer service I have updated my review from 1 to 3 stars.

I had an appointment in the I-Kook Amsterdam store. My wife was unable to accompany me for this appointment due to some personnel circumstances. Upon reaching the store I had a interaction with one of the coaches I proposed the approach to first discuss/create couple of designs, then look into the countertop, cabinet colours etc. and look into the electronics to which he initially agreed. After the design, he refused to provide further service(countertop, cabinet, electronics etc) in absence of my wife. I found this discriminatory behaviour & i challenged him on this. My idea was to finalize as much as possible in the store, seek opinion from my wife and later close the deal in the second appointment.
This refusal of service or not properly communicating on the pre-requisite that you must visit store with your partner only!! left me with a bad taste and for this I took half day off from my office.

We ordered the kitchen in mid-May and still have not received it completely. At first, they promised 6-8 weeks delivery time. On the second appointment, they said 12 weeks. Somehow, it went up to 16 weeks during the time, without informing us. When they finally delivered it, one cabinet was broken and they forgot to ship the fridge, the extractor hood and the lighting. We ordered built-in lighting and they obviously messed up our order because the lighting is not built-in. We have been waiting for the missing items for 2 weeks now and they do not reply to emails and hardly pick up the phone.
Very helpful and great advice in helping to plan a lovely kitchen for us!
Short version: Change in design after signing the offer, delayed delivery, poor installation prcess, wrong size cabinets and wrong color delivered, mistakes during installations made by the installer, mistakes in designed made by the kitchen specialist as a result some things were not possible to intall (push open button, water filter, some doors to the dish drying rack cabinet), missing appliances (currently we are still missing the fridge, the freezer, the oven, the stove), poor communication with I-Kook specialist and management (they don't answer to emails, do not return the calls, do not react to remediation complaints). After 2 months and a half they still did not get in contact with us to start the remediation process. We have hired a lawyer to help us to hopefully get the money back.

I was assisted by Priscilia for my kitchen designing process and she was very cordial and patient throughout. She was prompt on giving suggestions and ultimately gave us the perfect kitchen for us within our budget. As for Ikook, they offer a wide variety of options relating to kitchen to choose from.
