Excellent customer service from Alex
I had a very positive experience with IRM/Ironmongery For You. The product range was good and the ordering process was straightforward, but what stood out most was the customer service. Alex was extremely helpful and prompt when I called, and dealt with my query clearly and efficiently. It makes a real difference to be able to speak to someone who is knowledgeable and responsive. I would happily use them again.

Very easy to order and came within a few days.
I need a product that looked like it been hand made and had quality stamped over it but without a massive price tag. I ordered two latch catches and they matched perfectly to the cottage environment.

Hi David,
Thank you for your feedback. We're sorry to hear the finish on the lock was not as expected. Had we been made aware of the issue, we would have been happy to investigate and arrange a replacement if required. We've reached out to you directly to request some photographs so that we can look into this further and hopefully resolve the matter for you.
Kind regards,
Alex.

The product I ordered ended up not being in stock even though the website claimed it was. Within 24hrs of my order I was informed of this and a full refund was processed within 7 days. Although I didn't get my order, I thought the customer service to rectify this was very good.

Products exactly what I ordered
Products exactly what I ordered, well made and quality is good. Had a problem with delivery company who returned items due to a diversion on the road. I telephoned IRM who were very apologetic and resent via Royal Mail. They were very helpful. Items received the next day. Would definitely use this company again.

Hi Brian,
Thank you for your review.
We’re sorry for the initial delay on your order. With such a large product range sourced from multiple suppliers, there are occasions where items can temporarily go out of stock. That said, we always aim to keep our customers fully informed throughout the process.
As shown in our correspondence, your order was placed on 27th March and delivered on 2nd April, in line with the date we advised once the supplier confirmed availability. We notified you as soon as the stock issue arose, kept you updated while we chased the supplier, and dispatched your order as soon as the goods arrived with us.
We appreciate your patience and are pleased we were able to get this resolved for you promptly.
Kind regards,
Alex
