I was pre-approved this afternoon, then approved after that. I then proceeded to make an order with £500 credit. At 6.30 tonight I received an email saying I'd been turned down due to something on my... See more

Absolute waste of time
Absolute waste of time. Credit facility initially offered. Then was asked to do an ID check. The ID check was done with my driving licence, bank statement and a photo of myself. All went through fine and wasn’t asked for anything further. Then spent well over a week waiting for them to dispatch the order. Then I raised it with the customer service team who then forwarded it on to the “Investigations” team as if I was somehow defrauding THEM. They told me I couldn’t be offered a credit facility because I’d failed their identity checks, which is nonsense because failed identity checks are generally just repeated if there’s a genuine issue. Absolutely hilarious. Wouldn’t touch with a barge pole ever again. It’s actually a bit embarrassing that Joe Marler would even associate with them considering their reputation. 9-10 days completely wasted on them.

Terrible experience, poor quality product & even worse service

ORIGINAL REVIEW:
I should've visited Trustpilot before I purchased from Jacamo. It seems that my experience of terrible service is far from unique.
I ordered a pair of chinos in 'size 34'.
When the chinos turned up the waist actually measured 36". I contacted Jacamo customer service to advise them of this and to tell them that I expected to have my £5.99 delivery fee refunded along with the price of the chinos when I returned them, because Jacamo failed to fulfill their end of the contract to send me 34" waist chinos and it was their fault I had to return the chinos.
Their responses during the messages we exchanged are on the one hand hilarious, and on the other horrifying that they think this is an appropriate way to treat customers when they (Jacamo) have made an error. They told me that they weren't going to refund the delivery fee because their website 'does not specify the exact waist size' - a total lie, because the sizes on the website are your standard 30/32/34/36/38 etc which absolutely everyone understands to mean the waist size in inches. They contended that in their view it's perfectly acceptable for size 34 trousers to measure at 36" waist, and they told me to wear a belt if the trousers don't fit properly!
It's absolutely unbelievable that they won't just own the error (of poor manufacturing and quality control by the suppliers of their Jacamo brand garments) and they expect me to swallow the £5.99 cost of their poor service. I won't. I'll take it to the Financial Ombudsman Service, as a matter of principle, because I refuse to be scammed by them. Even if I don't win (and I can't see why I wouldn't win), it will cost them far more than £5.99 to respond to and engage with the ombudsman. Furthermore, I'll post my honest reviews and share my experience with them on every single website and social media platform that is available to me, in order to warn others that this company is to be avoided like the plague.
UPDATE:
I have today received an email from Jacamo saying they have processed a refund for me. No mention of the disputed £5.99 delivery fee, nor have they asked for the trousers to be returned. I have therefore responded by asking for clarification on the delivery fee, and for them to advise how to return the trousers because they are clearly of no use to me. I will update this review again when I have more information.
Shut my account for no reason
I would stay away from ordering
I would stay away from ordering. I paid for next day delivery and a week later still haven’t got my order.
I paid for next day by Royal Mail to avoid standard evri delivery. They still sent it via Evri and now the parcel is stuck with them.
Reached out to customer services told me next day delivery doesn’t always mean next day delivery…. Even though I paid for it.
I’m having to go through my bank to arrange a charge back!!
Really bad company
Really bad company
I opened account with them of course they asked to proof my identity and I did that after they sent me confirmation text and email that everything is good and now I can use my account but thay wasn't the case . They ask like 5 times more to proof my identity and every time I had message that my identity was proof and I can use my account that never was the case. Now I send email 4 days ago that I want to close my account but they just ignore me
Jacamo send you reminder emails for a…
Jacamo send you reminder emails for a due payment then before that due date use threatening language and force you to pay the amount by saying they will add an extra 12 pounds on top of the amount you have to pay before the given due date and still think its ok to do it so they get you to pay and make excuses up, second time they have done it demanding money with menaces how do the scumbags of this company sleep, is there a governing body that deals with these rotten companies so the consumer/customer can complain to, tried the regulatory company that JD Williams is supposedly covered by but they aren't registered with that regulatory company, they've never heard of Jacamo or JD Williams who own Jacamo, this company needs exposing for the way they handle customers and the complaints, especially over the phone, staff sit and consume food when on the phone and don't lsten to you especially managers, if you need to purchase anything go and use another company as one I have used deliver the online products on time and to one of their stores of your choosing, I find Jacamos sizing not correct or they need to change it as most other online catalouge or mail order companies the sizing is better to understand, avoid this company like the plague its rotten and they are despicable, downright manipulative, disrespectful and like to threaten people, should be arrested and taken to court for there actions
Whats happened to jacamo?
Whats happened to jacamo??
I must have a record of 200+ messages trying to sort the issue with the glitch in their site regarding delivery addresses.
Order 1- used promo code, used the dot to select my post office pick up, which was pre entered by their system so basically i didnt type anything. All was fine, jacamo confirmation email said delivery to post office then MY house street name and no postcode. i knew it wasnt my error but i cancelled the order and triple checked the details before re placing it. only now i couldn't use the promo code- that was a lot of back and forth with the cservice but i gave up in the end.
Order 2- no discount but i screen shot that delivery was correct.
Days later i get a dispatch email with yet again Post office and the first line of my home address! i was fuming, i knew the second order was right so i assumed they didnt cancel the first. lots of useless chat later they put a return to sender on the dispatched order - which they said may not be accepted? and id need to wait 3 weeks for my refund if all goes well. TO MY SHOCK HE SAID I WAS TO ENSURE I ENTERED THE CORRECT ADDRESS IN FUTURE.
An hour passed an i got an email from evri - delivery address of the post office in full and correct! i couldn't believe what i was reading... why had no one on the jacamo chat, 10+ different staff! look into my orders properly to see that my confirmation from jacamo was a glitch and they had the correct delivery details all along.
im now waiting weeks to get my refund, distance selling regulations advise that as they know the order is due back to them, and all the errors are all theirs. i should get my refund now. But they dont want to hear that. NEVER EVER AGAIN
I can't select 0 stars
I can't select 0 stars, but I would have if I could. I placed a £260 order with next-day delivery two weeks before a wedding I was due to attend. A week goes by with no delivery, so I call and wait in phone limbo for 20 minutes, only to be asked to wait even longer for it to turn up. Still no joy, so I call and ask for a refund, as it won't arrive before the wedding. Two weeks later (a month late overall), the order shows up. I let them know it arrived too late, only to get a scripted response saying, 'Thanks for letting us know, we have charged you for the goods.' Now I have to arrange the return of products that arrived so late I had to buy them elsewhere. The customer service chat even cut me off when I asked to speak to a manager. Avoid this company, as they clearly don't care about their customers at all.
Very poor first experience with Jacamo
Very poor first experience with Jacamo. I received a welcome email offering 20% off using the code WELCOME, but the code would not work on the Vans trainers in my basket. A second advertised code, EXTRA, also failed, despite the terms only referring to selected sale menswear and footwear and not clearly identifying the item or brand as excluded.
Customer service initially could not locate the WELCOME code, even though Jacamo had emailed it to me that same day. Their proposed solution was for me to pay the full price, wait for the order to be dispatched, then contact them again to request a retrospective refund.
This placed all the inconvenience and risk on me. If Jacamo cannot ensure that codes in its own marketing emails work correctly, I have little confidence that a refund would be handled smoothly afterwards. I decided not to proceed and purchased elsewhere. Very poor systems, processes and customer resolution—particularly disappointing for a first-time customer.
Not the jacamo I used to know…
This company used to have customer service where you can speak to a person , sadly that’s changed and the personal service has long gone, I left because of poor customer interactions, postage was slower too unless you paid more
The site was very easy for me to use…
The site was very easy for me to use and as I'm not computer literally i found this very easy to navigate
Great way to pay and I get a reminder
Products were good but try and get hold…
Products were good but try and get hold of the customer service , they want your life history even when you have already logged in, SO I paid for next day delivery and two days later still no delivery , they asked me if I had contacted my courier on the chat bot , well EVRI are not employed by me , they are Jacamo contractor , can’t get hold of a human , they are rigmarole trying to get hold of a human , well forget it , have been spending quite a lot with them recently but having second thoughts now
Absolute joke of a company
Absolute joke of a company. Passed checks, had a credit limit in place. Ordered. Then they recalled my order just as it was about to be delivered to my house. Absolute disgrace. No correspondence. Nothing. Bunch of wains.
Because I’m on a debt management plan…
Because I’m on a debt management plan and pay that why keep doing this sending messages
If Jeremy Kyle was a mail order company…
If Jeremy Kyle was a mail order company then it would be called Jacamo. New customers feed the poverty porn they roll in.
