Review summary

Created with AI, based on recent reviews

Considering 80 reviews, most reviewers were let down by their experience overall. People frequently complained that customer service representatives were unhelpful, rude, and extremely difficult to reach when trying to resolve urgent account issues. Consumers also mentioned dealing with frustratingly slow response times, international call centers, and unhelpful automated support systems that failed to provide any real assistance. However, some customers also noted that unexpected account fees, high interest rates, and hidden charges significantly added to their overall financial frustration. Just a heads up

Just a heads up. Been with Latitude (formally G.E finance) for over 30 years. I have since been advised that due to an amended policy in 2024, all open accounts with a zero balance get charged $10.95 per month. Was only fluke that I opened this months statement. Only did it to double check the amount I over paid in May as I was going to purchase some new items from Harvey Norman. Needless to say I was shocked to see that I owed $4.44 due to the unexpected charge. I have to say, closing the account was easy, but I don't think I will deal with this company again. Hope Harvey Norman partner with someone else.

Worst credit provider out there.

If I could give less than one star I would. They charge more in fees than the actual repayment amount so you never go anywhere when paying it off. Even trying to close the account is difficult. And you cant speak to a complaints department because they dont take calls. You can only go online and complain and within 30days you might get a response. Use any other credit provider than this company.

Terrible experience!!!

Terrible experience!! they use AI to determine your loan eligibility. I have 2000 in disposable income per month and asked for a $300 per month loan (for a 0% interest Apple laptop). I called up to dispute and the bloke put the numbers back into an AI and it spit out the same thing. Thanks for screwing my credit rating.

Absolutely worst financial provider…

Absolutely worst financial provider that has ever existed. The most appalling customer service I have ever experienced in my entire life. They mask the voices of their customer service representatives with some weird AI voice changers making it almost impossible to understand what they are saying. I could go on for days specifying just how bad they are but I don’t want to waste my breath

They are scammers…

So i'm pretty pisted off.I'm gonna pay them off, and they're gonna close my account.Because i'm not gonna deal with this bullshit. I made my first payment and the required $43 to pay. Which I feel like is really steep? Considering the other card, I only have to pay 20. Which is my discover card. So this is supposed to help you build credit, not screw you over to where you don't get to frickin'.Help your credit. Anyway, some reason they tell me I did not pay the forty three. Then, they started tacking on all these frickin' fees or whatever the crap else. So they made me pay eighty six dollars at another date. Which I did do and somehow, after paying those two I still don't have any available credit. I am taking them to better business bureau, if they do not fix this shit , i will find a way to sue them. I am not happy with their high crap. I am not happy with their customer service. And please, nobody else go with him. You'll be wasting your time, your money, your energy. And it is very stressful.

No customer service

No customer service, all online bots, international call centre. Unable to claim rewards, I have been trying through the app, does not work. Call centre couldn’t help, passed it on to someone else to fix app, it will be fixed within 48 hours. No it still does not work. Frustrating that I can’t get what I’m entitled to.

Do not give your money to this company

Do not give your money to this company.
I haven't written a review on a company ever; however, I would like to give people the opportunity to do their research and not go with Latitude Financial. I had a car loan with this company for 5 years, with a fixed interest rate of 17.49% which is absurd I even proceeded. I did not have ONE positive experience with them from their customer service department, my mysterious payout figure that changed 3 times with no official break down as to how they came up with the amount of $1,341. Save your money and go elsewhere, it was the biggest headache dealing with this company.

Avoid This Company At All Costs

I temporarily reduced my credit card limit before travelling overseas as a security precaution. After returning, I requested to reinstate my previous limit but was declined without any clear reason.

I’ve always paid my debts on time, so it’s hard not to feel like responsible customers are being penalised. Aligned to previous comments about predatory behaviour.

Pathetic

Pathetic, no clue, the worst customer service I've ever experienced. avoided any responsibility for their mistakes, kept palming me off to the next sucker with clue, nobody kept any notes of previous discussions.
failure to make clients aware of early termination payout fees, overpaid without apologies, failure to accommodate a relatively small gesture of goodwill, unwilling to listen to the customer, made to feel like I was being untruthful, simply no regard for customers satisfaction, wanted nothing to do with trying to figure out where they had gone wrong, could go on and on, but I have already wasted to much time and effort on this joke of a company.
final words of advice to anyone thinking of using Latitude finance.
DON'T, YOU'LL REGRET IT, SCUMBAGS

Horrific company horrific experience.

Horrific company horrific experience.
I took out a car loan with Lattitude which was due to expire in May 2027
I had paid more each month on my loan so l could get it paid off quicker. February 2024 l only owed around $3000 on it and decided to upgrade my car through another lender. The car dealership said they would payout the balance of my car, and use the balance of my car as a deposit. I waited for a couple of months and wondered why l had no pay out letter, my account was still saying open. When l contacted the dealership, they said there was no money owing on my car.
Someone at Latitutde did not do their job properly.
I was then left to pay off the car, frustrating but had to do it. I paid larger amounts and by January 2026 l only owed $855 on my overall account even though l had 16 months to complete my loan. I requested to not make a payment in January as my daughter was facing financial hardship and l had to pay her rent and she was moving back in with me. They said l had to pay. I told them l could not pay in Janyary, but l would pay the balance of $855 in February. They continued to chase me. On one day the company called me 5 times. ( Harassment) In February l paid out my $855 plus over $200 in early payout fees. When l checked my credit report they marked me as a missed payment. I have been fighting this ever since. I recieved an email about 5 weeks ago saying they were going to change it. I recieved my uodated credit report today and they have not removed it. I feel traumatized dealing with this company. I just need my dealings with this company to be over. But l feel it never will be. You deal with this company you deal with the devil.

The worst company I have ever dealt with. Absolute scam! I signed up for 6 months interest free but they still charging me 28%. I tried calling them on their numbers provided and you can’t get through as it keeps cutting off. You can’t do online help as it’s impossible
I’m just shocked that they haven’t been arrested and put in prison.
