I would personally consider trying another firm.
In my experience, the firm declined to proceed with my case, citing a lack of staff capacity to deal with it within the required timeframes or similar. They did not state that the claim was of low value; however, that was my own impression, as no other clear explanation was given.
What concerned me most was the lack of transparency. I was not provided with any specific detail as to why the case was considered too close to important dates or deadlines, which left me uncertain about how that conclusion had been reached. When I followed up to ask for clarification, the response felt generic and did not address my questions.
I was also told that they would not be able to take on the case because they would need to provide a duty of care. Given that the firm had already requested and reviewed a significant amount of information, this response felt confusing and, honestly, quite invalidating.
Overall, I left the interaction feeling that my case had not been properly explained or meaningfully engaged with. Far from impressed.

Bethany, Lucy and Jane have been outstanding throughout our claim. They have been patient, flexible and sensitive in handling my daughter’s case and have always made it a priority to work around us and what worked best for my daughter. They have been especially kind and careful when engaging with her directly. Making time to meet with us face to face in London with our Barrister Gemma, was hugely appreciated and effective in finalising the details of our claim. We didn’t feel rushed or pressured at any stage of the claim and was therefore able to make an informed decision that was right for my daughter. We are extremely pleased with the outcome that they have worked so hard for. A very big thank you!

I approached Leigh Day after enduring a tragic situation in my life. I was allocated a solicitor by the name of Laura Murphy and from the word go, she was professional yet empathic. She handled my personal case with so much care and compassion. I was always made to feel like they were fighting for me and for justice and that it wasn't just about numbers and money. I have used several other firms of solicitors over the past for various tasks, and none of them have come close to giving anywhere near the level of service that Laura and her team provided. Successfully, I might add. I honestly hope that I will never need their help again, but if I did, I would not hesitate to use them again. Incredible support and brilliant service.

I had a bike accident earlier this year and turned to Leigh Day for help with my compensation claim. From start to finish, the service was exceptional. The team kept me informed at every stage, explained everything clearly, and made what could have been a stressful process feel completely manageable.
A special mention goes to Ava, the paralegal who handled most of my case. She was professional, patient, and genuinely supportive throughout. Her attention to detail and regular updates gave me real confidence, and thanks to her hard work, the claim was successful.

Represented a large group of police officers in an employment tribunal (basically taking on the government) and the police federation.
