Highly recommend Home Visit with phlebotomist Kelsey. She arrived 6 am ready to do my blood work. Warm personality with a smile, smooth transaction. Very good experience with MyVisit. Thank you

Find another lab

This lab should be shut down. You will wait hours no matter what time you go. The staff are miserable and unhelpful. Below even the usual bad mefical care stardards you expect in Canada.

I had appointment booked for 1.45 pm…

I had appointment booked for 1.45 pm but I was 10 min early. I got my no for 1.45 which was fine but a couple of other people who came after me and numbers after mine were called and I had to wait 20 min after having spoken to the receptionist. Why book appointment when your time is not appropriated.

Over crowded & Long Waits

New Westminster 5th Avenue used to be the best until they started taking walk ins with no appointments. This place has about 40-72 people at a given
Time which I count every time I’m there. It is Always over crowded and there is no air for breathing. I feel more sicker coming out from there. I can see staff work hard but they also can be rude and lose their patience. Staff look overly stressed. Extremely poor communication by staff there. Finally they installed AC which helps but not much room for air to circulate. They do not know how to handle appointments and walk ins. I’ve waited anywhere from 40mins to over one hour with an appointment booked so it’s really frustrating that their system is not working. Staff has directly expressed to me about hating the new system of walk ins. They should have one booth just for walk ins and rest for appointments and an empty bin for drop offs because I end up waiting over 30-45mins before they even call out for drop offs. This locations is out of control and they can not manage well. Life lab please make some changes before staff will burn out and people pass out because they have been waiting for 1-2 hrs. Please change your process and system. It’s not working. I have also seen people fighting and get into arguments because of line ups. Please put limits as to how many walks ins you can take at a given time and assign a number. Life lab take this seriously as people and staffs health and well being is being compromised.

Customer service is brutal

Customer service is brutal. They have so many patients that they just don’t care.

This time I had a walk in appointment and the estimate was 28 minutes, an hour or so later I gave up and as I am leaving someone says oh you are next after I do this appointment. Maybe I was maybe I wasn’t. Why give estimates if I waited double the time an extra 30 minutes and was only spoken to when I was leaving. When I got my form back, no apology and she forgot to give me my health card and I had to specifically ask to get it or she would have kept it making me waste more time to go back and get it.

A few years ago they lost my urine sample for my PSA test, which I paid for. A few days later I got a call that I had to resubmit my urine sample as they lost it. I was then told that the good news was that it would be free of charge, meaning I wouldn’t have to pay again

I paid for a test, they lost my urine, but they won’t charge me again for their mistake. She actually told me this was good news.

First, how do you lose a urine sample? Where did it go? Second what about my time to go back to the lab to resubmit my urine sample? Couldn’t care less. I thought they might refund the money I originally paid as a good will gesture and an apology, but no, they were excited that I did not have to pay again,

Insane.

My fault for going a second time to a different, albeit, location.Never again. Good luck if you go if you use their services.

Unfortunately, not too many options available.

Location Is 1866 Bayview Ave.

Got a call back from customer care who began the conversation with I should book an appointment next time. I quickly explained that that does not address let alone excuse their walk in practice. I don’t think she really got, but whatever.

Go somewhere else

Even if you have an appointment and are on time for it, you will be waiting. So many people need bloodwork done. Their system is so inefficient. The worst location is 1400 Ritson Rd. in Oshawa. The lady behind the counter has a big attitude problem. Their Management needs to come here and see the issues with this company.

I think they should just stop walk in

I think they should just stop walk in, because tell me why i should get to a location at 7:05am, it's 9:45am now I have not been called. The room is filled up with walk in patients, while the people with appointments just come in, even when they come late they get attended to.
Please if you can't take patients as they come, just stop walk in.

It is unfortunate that people who did not do an online booking are waiting for more than 1 hour to be just seen and however long after that for the test . Maybe lifelabs should stop walkins then .

Waiting 3 hours and had to visit another lab

Hello, Today was the first occasion I visited your laboratory, and it will be my last. I went to your address at 3850 Finch Ave East at approximately 10:30 AM, and by noon, I was informed that my requisition had been sent to the wrong fax number and the wrong email address. Therefore, I went back home to email it to the correct email address and then returned to the laboratory. This time, they received my email but could not open the PDF. It was now 12:30 PM, still hoping to get this done today. At that point, I felt somewhat hungry and needed to use the restroom. Therefore, I returned home, emailed 4040 Finch Ave East, went to the laboratory located at 4040 Finch Ave East, and was out in 10 minutes. The employees at LifeLabs were disrespectful to clients and showed inadequate organizational abilities. As I stated, this will be my initial and final visit. Apologies are unnecessary since they will not rectify the three hours I have lost. Thank you,

Josh was great at Timmins Ontario…

This visit to the Timmins Ontario location was very good. I went Friday afternoon and I DID have an appointment. They took me ONLY 5 min.s late; which was amazing. Normally they are about 30 minutes late, even if you have an appointment. The technician, Josh, that took the 5 vials of blood out ( yes, I had a lot of tests done) was wonderful! He was very nice AND I DIDN'T get a bruise AT ALL. I WILL DEFINITELY be asking for him next time!

Islington location in Woodbridge ON closed when they're not supposed to be. Website reads 'may close early on 1st Wed of each month' - I went on the 3rd (Aug20) at 3.15pm. Sign reads 'open til 4'. Obviously wasn't open. Call the 1 800#, person tells me they close early on the 1st Wed of each month. I respond but it's not the 1st Wed of this month. She says go to another LLab.

Lacks efficiency and warmth

I have been to several life labs . Some are ok, some are just awful. Wait times are extreme most of the time which could be helped with better staffing and more efficiency. The attitude of many staff members is also next level rude. No one WANTS to be having their blood drawn and some of us are dealing with terminal illnesses so MAYBE the staff should consider that when they make you feel like they are irritated that you are making their PAID DAY busy. Honestly it’s ridiculous

A Smooth and Positive Experience-16th St. West Vancouver

I've had a positive experience every time I visit LifeLabs at 16th Street, West Vancouver, BC for my blood tests. Today (August 12, 2025) was no exception, and I wanted to share my experience since this is my first review.
Because I didn't have an appointment, I decided to wake up early and be the first in line. They open at 7:30 AM, but I arrived at 6:30 AM. The entrance door for the building wasn't open yet, so I waited outside. Soon, others joined the line. Once the building door opened, we still had about 40 minutes to wait inside until the LifeLabs door opened. If you have an appointment, you can just come at your scheduled time, but if you're walking in like me, earlier is definitely better. The line may look long, but it moves quickly.
I've read some of the reviews on Trustpilot and I'm sorry to hear about the negative experiences others have had. I understand those reviews reflect different locations, but my experience here has always been positive. The staff are engaged and professional, and today was no different.
I especially want to mention Sue, who took my blood test today. She was not only gentle in poking the needle but also helpful when I asked about checking my results online. She provided my CareCompass and Life Visit Number and clearly explained how to set it up which I did when I got home. That extra effort meant a lot to me. If you also want to see your results online, ask the staff or the phlebotomist who takes your blood to provide you with your CareCompass and Life Visit Number.
Thank you, Sue, for your kindness and guidance and to the whole LifeLabs 16th Street team for always making the process smooth and positive. Keep shining!

Went to the same location (Marpole

Went to the same location (Marpole, Vancouver) for years and used to be just a minor pain and no bruise at all. This time, the technician didn't check my vein and just poked the needle in my arm. I have never ever had the worse pain like this before, this sharp pain last for 10 seconds long until she pulled out the needle. It hurt so much. Then I checked it turned into a big bruise, swollen and painful.
