I went into the millerville Lowes store to buy a riding lawnmower. I am an older widowed woman who needed one to cut my grass as my other one finally bit the dust. I had never bought one on my own before. Four employees were at the cashier by the front door and i told them what i wanted to do. They told me to wait and would get me some help. After waiting 20 minutes i asked again as they were standing around laughing and talking. I then got some help. A young man named robert came outside with me and i showed him which one i wanted. He explained everything on the lawnmower to me, how to fill the oil, where to put the gas in it and so on. He was very nice and gave me the 5 percent discount (with lowes card i had), finished everything at cashier himself. It is to be delivered to me on monday and i'll write an update after it gets here. So customer service started off fair but ended up well. Update: the lawnmower was delivered on the day expected and in good order until i tried to start it and it wouldn't start. I called Lowes and they set me up for service 2 days later. However a family member came over and determined the battery needed charging. He charged it for me and it started right up. No complaints.

Damaged boxes and contents. We ordered 8 grow lights and a wire rack. The lights came in 8 separate shipments on two days. The boxes were flimsy and half of the lights were literally bent. It looked like they were just taken off a shelf and handed to the shipper instead of being packed. The rack also came in a beat-up box with a note from FedEx saying they received it that way. We’re done.

Placed an order for multiple items online. Designated the order for delivery. Somehow part of the order was designated in store pick up. When I called to correct it, they said I had to cancel it and reorder. Then somehow they changed another part of to store pickup. No help changing the order. No one interested in helping me. Last time for Lowes for me. They just don't care.

Legitimate defective return within the return period denied because the item was installed. It was installed and found defective and we required a replacement. Lowe's refused replacement or refund. This happened previously and we took the loss. Now, again taking another loss, we will never shop at Lowe's again and will not recommend them.
AVOID LOWES PAY LATER PROGRAM !!!!!
I made the horrific mistake of buying appliances through Lowe's Pay later program with synchrony bank. First, I was lied to and told that it was 0 interest for a year and it wasn't. Second, managing the loan itself is an absolute nightmare. I give my highest recommendation AGAINST using Lowes Pay Later with Synchrony.
Lowes Mistake = Poor Customer Service
Rushed home after receiving a text that my order of 4 bags of rocks and 2 bags of potting soil had been delivered a little more than an hour after submitting it online. Got home, no rocks, no soil, just a sinking sensation. Email picture of the delivery from Lowes showed a small bag in front a small shack versus a pile of rocks and dirt in front of a well kept two story brick home. Close to an hour or so communicating with AI, then a real person by phone who did not seem fully trained and then a real person on another chat who agreed to cancel my order per my reqùest and informed me it would take 2-3 weeks for it to be procesed per standard procedures!!! Pretty sure this allows the company to make even more money off of my "money" at my expense instead of doing the right thing! Plan to start giving my business to the small business owners when possible. Sorry for the long rant...
Extremely poor customer service
We bought a 8000 BTU portable air conditioner online. Extremely heavy. Followed directions, and nothing. Did not work. Tried all the recommendations in the manual, didn’t work. We were running a 12,000 BTU in the same spot, no issues. It was dead on arrival. Called customer service (because unbeknownst to us you have 48 hours to return it). This was the next day after delivery. They said that you HAVE to return it to a Lowe’s store. Seriously? We are not spring chickens, and just the idea of trying to get this huge, very heavy appliance into a vehicle and then into the Lowe’s store was overwhelmingly ridiculous. The only other option was to suck it up and deal with a loss of about $300. I used to like Lowe’s, but sadly they really have zero customer service.

I used Lowe's for my remodel project
I used Lowe's for my remodel project. Floor was installed and not leveled. Custom Cabinets ordered December 2, 2025 and still not installed because Lowe's measured incorrectly so the cabinets did not fit and had to reorder. No one gives me specific updates. I've filed complaints and no one responds. They make it difficult to post review on their website. In the end if you buy from Lowe's and use installation services you are just adding layers that make it very difficult to correct anything when they get it wrong. The limited communication i have from them is basically just telling me to sit and wait until the reorder is delivered. I should have used someone else that could fix the problem immediately because it was their fault. Plus maybe you can get someone who could actually fix the problem and get accurate information.

I was rushed for time...and the staff went out of their way to help me find each item needed in an expeditious manner. Have had those times at home improvement stores when it is tough to find help....but Lowe's and their staff were Top Notch. Thanks so much.

Lowe's Really Don't Give a ****!
I purchased a Fridgidaire fridge/freezer 28 Oct. Over $700. In February freezer section failed costing me $200 worth of food. I call Lowe's and get passed to Fridgidaire. Auto says 8min wait. That became 14mins. Arrange service guy who comes 4th March. Says it's fixed but it fails to freeze. Call Lowe's again and get passed again to Fridgidaire. 11 min wait. Becomes 28min. After 54mins dealing with someone who could barely speak English and didn't care one way or the other I gave up and issued a charge back on my CC. Lowe's really couldn't care less about their customers once the cash is banked.

Originally place an order on Jan 17, 2026 and now March 10th still can not update the order. Today still send an email to request my signature for an order I did not place. I am appalled with this company. I was a double card holder with this company for nearly 30 years. I shopped there and on the receipt was a $500.00 survey. I did the survey and it popped up that I am a winner! "I'm excited", I don't win anything, I call the number it gives me and it's a frickin scam. They took me for 100.00 that I had to fight with the bank over and I called Lowe's, had a case number etc., I called back to see what the status is and they said "is a no callback". What? What did that mean? It went in to the black hole. Thus multi-billion dollar company is brushing me off. What a lousy outfit. They destroy people's trust. Never again will I step foot in a Losers store. You shouldn't either.

My experience buying a refrigerator was excellent. After, receiving my Frigidaire refrigerator I was excited to replace my old refrigerator. I had the refrigerator for 21 days and started hearing a loud noise, I had to deal with that noise for a week before a Tech came out. The motor had gone up. The tech said that Frigidaire will replace the motor but it's been two more weeks after and it hasn't been replaced still dealing with this loud noise. I asked for the refrigerator to be replaced period and the response was it is under warranty. I feel that Frigidaire should replace the refrigerator because it wasn't 30 days that I had the refrigerator. How many more times will the motor go up. Is this a bad Frigidaire refrigerator sold by Lowe's but I was told it was an excellent product. From my experience from Frigidaire I don't want anymore of this company products. I had to get rid of my food before neither side will get cold. Since the motor haven't been replaced I unplugged the refrigerator because it is not getting cold and the noise is to loud to deal with. Lowe’s will steal your money
Lowe’s will steal your money. They literally will take your money and not give you what they sold you. Back in October 2025 I paid nearly $5,000 to have my back door replaced. It still has not been done. They give me excuse after excuse on why the door has not yet arrived for install. I’ve been scheduled twice for a I’ve been scheduled twice for an actual install, and the installer goes to the store and tells me the door was the wrong one or the door wasnt there at all. They tell me they will call with an update and do not call.
The store manager, Carla assured me she would check on this and follow up on Friday, she didn’t call. I called today (Saturday), was told she was there and they attempted to transfer, she didn’t answer, A regular store member got back on the phone and told me after the fact that she was unavailable, I left a message with them, still no call. The assistant manager, Alex, told me Lowe’s has zero responsibility regarding the install/door they sold me beyond collecting my money! This is unbelievable and absolutely the worst customer service I’ve ever heard of from any kind of sale or service. I go into the store to talk to them and they throw up their hands and tell me there’s nothing they can do because even though I paid in full to Lowe’s, they are not responsible for the door delay, nor are they responsible for installation nor are they responsible for making sure that the door arrives from the manufacturer. They offer me my money back but unfortunately because I’ve delayed this project by five months I cannot find a price that that’s anywhere in the vicinity of $5000 anymore since prices have gone up astronomically in that time frame.
The only thing I can do is warn you not to go to this Lowe’s (or any Lowe’s since I’ve also spoken with the regional install manager Kelly Luffman - whom was actually rude to me when I asked what to do) and definitely do not ever do a project with them of any kind for home improvement. Buyers beware. They are thieves! Here’s a picture of my friend’s door that I ordered because I liked it, may never get it.

My husband went there for a job interview and because he is 69 years old he was passed by. He knows every inand out of customer service as well as anything a customer could possibly need and was turned down. This is not an equal opportunity for anyone that is getting older. I could not believe he was turned down.
Most Convoluted and Useless Website
I'm a web page developer by profession. Try going into pay My Lowes Pro account website. First off it takes you to a huge screen full of options. I went to my account. That too was convoluted. Go towards the bottom and you have multiple selections of account types. Those in turn take you a separate tab and website. The whole site is this way. Garbaged up with ads and flash, but impossible to find what you need. I call the 800 number pay my bill and it dumps me into some speal about monitoring device. I waited until it gave me an option beside 1. I selected 2, then it tells me the number is only for the monitoring device and cuts me off. The number is the number they left on my bill. After all that, as soon as I pay off my bill I'm deleting every bit of account/s I have with them. They don't deserve my loyalty, which has been years. Online is useless, online chat is useless, and I spend more time messing with this than any other online account ever.
