I signed up to a 1 MONTH CONTRACT to use when I was abroad, where it was not mentioned anywhere whatsoever about auto renewals.
Anything mentioned on both the website and emails from Lyca specifically said 1 month contract. I was then surprised when they kept charging me EVERY SINGLE MONTH.
My first attempt to contact them via their own form got no reply, and it took about 2 months for them to reply back to my constant attempts to reach out to them. To which they then said I'd need to both give a 30 day period to cancel (to what was apparently a 1 month contract, and that has now been charged for about 3 months by now), so they refuse to give me my money back for the auto renewal charges and I still have to wait another month for this to get cancelled.
I should also point out I tried to sign in to my lyca account and hopelessly tried to find a way to cancel the plan via the website account, but THERE IS LITERALLY NO WAY TO CANCEL, they force you to reach them via email or phone to which they may or may not respond.
Upon checking trust pilot I found other people in the same situation as me such as a review from "Kenneth Smith". I truly wish I had checked trustpilot before buying that "1 month" plan from Lyca. I never want to use them again, and hope my review prevents someone from making the same mistake as me.
Please really consider before using Lyca as it seems they are hell bent on scamming their customers.

Not really a valid apology, maybe work on being transparent with your plans instead of spending all your time replying to honest reviews saying "you are sorry". And if you were really sorry, you would refund your customers for auto renewals that were not used at all by the customer

I can no longer access my account because of an error in my date of birth when I signed up. I asked customer service to stop my automatic payments after I lost my phone. But they keep charging me even though I can’t use their service. This is theft.

Found myself with no internet connection and the inability to call or send messages.
Tried anything to solve the problem but turns out the only way to solve the problem is to change company.
I get a new e sim from another company and works perfectly.
In the meantime I sent 20 emails and called 7 times to annull the monthly plan.
They responded to none of the emails and the operator on the phone told me it was impossible to annull the plan in this moment.
Lyca is almost a SCAM!
Never trust their service!
I am still trying to get rid of their monthly plan and stop paying for a service that DOES NOT WORK!
Also their client service is useless.
Apparently they cannot do anything and they don’t do what they are supposed to do!

LISTEN TO THE BAD REVIEWS: I am an Australian who is living in France for 12 months, and I found it difficult to find a provider who would give me a French number. I ignored the reviews warning me of how bad this service is, I was desperate to quickly get it set up and Lyca was very easy to subscribe to. After the first month, I noticed toward the end of my monthly payment the service would cut out, and I ended up buying extra data because I thought I had run out. But no I hadn't, and they ended up charging me TWICE, and lodging TWO pay as you go data subscriptions to my account (I was charged 2x for two months for 1 esim). I noticed that the faulty line happens every month. Then, my phone breaks and I need to go to apple to get the insides basically replaced and my phone is given back to me as a new phone and I need to reinstall my esim. The QR code I have from the original activation is useless now, I can't call them because I dont have an active phone provider in my new phone, and they apparently take 5-7 BUSINESS DAYS to reply to an email. I can't reactivate the esim online by myself at all, and now I'm looking at closing the esim all together, but there's no way to cancel my subscription with them online, im guessing I have to call them to do that as well. This company should be in bin, and the people behind this sham should be in jail. How is this even a legal telephone provider.

Au lieu de cela, le service client l’a traitée comme s’il s’agissait simplement d’une demande de désactivation du renouvellement automatique.
Le remboursement a ensuite été refusé au motif vague que le forfait avait déjà été utilisé, sans base juridique claire et sans aucun calcul écrit détaillé.
J’ai conservé les e-mails concernés, la confirmation de paiement et les captures d’écran relatives à ce dossier.

Mon conseil aux nouveaux clients : lisez bien les conditions, gardez tous vos emails, captures d’écran et justificatifs de paiement. En cas de problème, ne vous fiez pas uniquement au chatbot ou aux réponses génériques du service client.
Pour moi : service faible + mauvaise gestion du dossier = je ne recommande pas.

Fixed the first issue of no esim being emailed , but now there is another issue where the esim card is almost never getting signal. There is no reason for this as my primary sim works fine. When i restart my phone it works again temporarily (even in the same spot where moments ago the sim had no signal. Temperamental, terrible service. I will cancel this if this isn’t resolve.

I bought an esim, of course they took my money, and than nothing happened. No email, no message or anything. I have waited and reached out for help, but nothing. It is not about the money because it wasn’t much, but it is very unprofessional. Very disappointed and I would not recommend.

Purchased an eSIM but the email containing the activation code was never sent to me. I was not ablw to getvit resent to me and the only way to get reasonably fast assistance is via a call which I can't do because I do not have an eSIM.
Update:
They were able to get back to me and assist me with my issue. Though it was not possible to completely resolve the issue, they were able to help me to a more than satisfactory level. They were quick to respond during working hours and were helpfull and patient with my case.

I gave 2 stars because of the value for money. But I would drop it to 1 because, firstly its difficult to reach the customer support. They have a contact number but often long wait times and no success in the end. No response to mails. They boast about chatbot to resolve the issues, but chatbot has very limited options. To start the chatting, you provide the details and the moment you choose to talk to a live agent, either the chat is auto closed or if you suceed, the agent asks your details again and then they say its pay as you go department and then you have to forget it no one responds. My problem is the plan which i subscribed has 5G included, but i never get 5G. Its not that i am in a remote area. In the city and different areas there is no effect. My handset support all the frequencies supported by Bouygues. Customer support literally is absent.

second contact by lycatrustpilot by providing me a solution of connecting to network and I provided a response of that I have no issue connecting to network, but issue with connecting to 5G. as the network doesn't support 5G which is a breach of promise of the contract. Now again 5 days has been passed and no response yet.

Now they are asking for the phone number after they have all the information 3 times before. So just imagine they dont reply to any of your queries and on trustpilot they pretend to be responding to users review.

I have replied each of your mails, but no updates from your side. So you cannot say i havent replied. If you are not able to reach me, then its again your fault, your network doesnt support. I had never an issue with other operators even bouygues telecom.

My experience with Lyca Mobile has been extremely disappointing. I purchased a SIM card expecting a reliable mobile service, but unfortunately the service has not worked properly from the beginning. The internet connection is extremely poor and unstable. The speed and quality are so bad that it honestly does not feel like you are using mobile internet in Europe.
What made this situation even worse was the customer service. When I contacted support to resolve the issue, the representatives were rude and unprofessional. They hung up on me several times while I was trying to explain my problem. One of them even told me that if I am not happy, I should change my operator because “this is how Lyca Mobile works.”
Following their own suggestion, I will now be changing my operator. This level of service and customer support is completely unacceptable. I strongly hope Lyca Mobile improves both their network quality and the way they treat their customers.

Esim was not sent to me after purchase, but Mr. Mohamed Ashik helped me with the refund.
I will try making the purchase again.
Esim was not sent to me because I provided my name using polish letters and Lyca could not process them in their system. So be careful with using letters other than english.

From 4/03/2026. All customers of lycamobile user are facing no internet from morning 8:30 to 12:00 and still going on. We paid for it. And but we can’t use it properly. Lyca should take responsibility for it to its customers immediately
