Didnt arrive in Time. Have to Call to get a new Taxi.

Taxi did not arrive at the scheduled 7:00 AM time. Called taxi service at 7:01 AM, no answer but left a voice message. No return call. At 7:15 AM I called again, still no answer but left a second voice message and cancelled the taxi as I needed to get to the airport. At 8:53 AM I sent an E-Mail cancelling the taxi and at 10:20 AM I received the E-Mail below:

Good morning your taxi was at the street address at 6,45 unfortunatly you had only provided a partial address no number the driver had to leave at 7,15. We did try to contact you but the phone number was unavailable and we did send you an email.

As you can read, they say I left a partial address, so where did the driver go? Second, they tried to call but they also say I left no number, third and the most insulting part of all is they charged my credit card for the full fare. I will never use this company again and will steer all travelers from my company away from this service.

Excellent and so easy to use. Took a lot of stress out of the journey.

One of the worst taxi services.

The nature of my work means that I have to travel often and this can mean requiring taxis arriving at unusual hours. This, however, does not excuse the Manchester Taxi Service (MTS) for the quality of service that they have provided me.

I have had the misfortune of using MTS on two separate occasions and on both occasions the service I was provided was substandard. Before any flight I take I always make a point of booking a taxi several hours, a day, maybe even several days in advance. This I did on both occasions. However, at the first occasion, the taxi arrived late so I almost missed my flight, and the driver was rude, and unhelpful.

On the second occasion, I felt that perhaps the previous time was an anomaly and as such booked a taxi with MTS again for 5:30 am as I had to catch an early flight. However, while I was waiting, and with just 20 mins till my expected pick-up, the company emailed me telling me that they couldn't pick me up because there were "fully booked". Since this was at 5:10 am on a Wednesday, I thought this was a poor excuse given that I had booked the taxi earlier. This meant that I had to hastily find a taxi otherwise I would miss my flight.

My problems with MTS do not stop there, unfortunately. In their email they promised they would refund me the cost of the booking ("We have refunded your payment"). Instead, they took the money from my account two days later, and have since failed to respond to my repeated calls and emails regarding this issue.

Since I do not like thieves prospering, I will never use this taxi service again and would recommend that, unless you want a taxi service that steals from its customers, I would look elsewhere.

Despite having confirmation of our booking, the office decided to book us in for 1pm on Sunday afternoon instead of 1am Sunday morning, therefore leaving us stranded in Salford.
Slightly redeemed by a member of staff saying a car would be despatched which indeed it was.
However, I don't understand how an online booking which was confirmed can then be entered incorrectly with the incorrect cost??

Pre-booked & Paid for this taxi journey, already a high cost of £50 from Manchester to Warrington only. The company had tried to ring me during an event I was in to 'confirm' my booking, thought this was strange due to me already paying, surely that already confirms it. The guy on the phone was quite aggressive & threatened to cancel my booking simply because I asked why they confirming when it had already been booked.
Then got a phone call that the taxi driver could not find the pick-up location (Old Trafford Premiere Inn) I had given them the correct address plus due to the size of Old Trafford and all the signs around saying 'Premiere Inn Old Trafford' I wouldn't have thought it would be difficult to miss.
I spoke to the taxi driver a couple of times before he picked us up, yet when we got into the taxi (after already confirming my name) he insisted on calling one of our phones to double check that it was in fact the right booking - very odd and obviously with more and more faffing about the more annoyed we were starting to become.
Once in the Warrington area, literally 2 minutes away from our drop-off location, the taxi driver made a complete U-Turn and started going the other way! Of course we were questioning what on earth he was doing and that there was no need to go back on himself, we tried to tell him that he could continue the way he was going and the location was right around the corner. Why would we lie about where we were going? He would still not listen to use and demanded that he was to follow the address on his Sat-Nav. Due to already being cautious, we had in fact been watching the Sat-Nav and at no point did it inform to make a U-Turn.
Eventually after a lot of debate we finished the final 1.5 mile of the journey and you'd never believe, we were not lying and did in fact want to go to the destination I had originally put in!!
Only reason I am giving two stars is because they actually turned up on what I know was a busy day in Manchester. However, not sure how a Taxi Driver working for 'MANCHESTER Taxi Service' can not know his way around the area he supposedly works in.
Most likely will not use again or recommend.

This is my first time with taxiservice.
Your site is so friendly and charges are reasonable. So much so that I booked five trips with taxi service.

Always punctual. Only ever had one booking that failed to turn up but was quickly resolved with a phone call. Cars clean and drivers usually courteous.

Booked online - quoted for the journey and paid online. Taxi was late so we called the company and they said they couldn’t do the journey and would be refunding us. Late for our event.

On time with a personable, helpful driver. Would def use again.

For the second time i have used mts.
The driver was excellent and in time
would definitely recommend and use them again.

Booked a taxi to pick up at 04.00 for an early flight. The company cancelled the taxi late in the night. Luckily we managed to book uber even at that time of night.

Ordered online, and the taxi never showed up. When I called to inquire, there was no answer and I had to leave a message. After waiting fifteen minutes past our pickup time, we called an Uber.

MTS - Never again.
