I purchased the much anticipated…

I purchased the much anticipated limited edition chocolate and piatachio strawberry sandwich and can honestly say that I have never been more dissapointed in my life. Whilst technically in date, the product was unfit for consumption. The bread was dry and the strawberrues, (all 2 of them thinly sliced and positioned on the edges of one cut slice if bread so as to give the impression there was more fruit than there actually was), were mascerated and looked nasty. The taste wasn't much better, somewhere between cardboard and slime.. in fact, to but it mildly, slimy cardboard with a hint of something that might have tasted like strawberry 3 days ago.
To add insult to injury, when I wrote to customer services to complain they adopted an approach that put the onus of responsibility on me rather than applying a customer focused complaint handling process, they asked me to submit a till reciept and the packaging bar code. The packaging was put in the bin along with the sabdwich two days ago! As for the reciept, the automated payment system dudnt issue one, do this left me in a predicament. I had sent photographs of the packaging showing the date and the sandwich at the time of my complaint. I am really dissapointed to experience this shift from the customer being central to the complaint to the emphasis being on procedure.
I will never buy from this company again until they start to put customers first.
Eventually they issued me a gift card for the 4 pounds I had spent, no recognition of the dissapointment or inconvenience.
Defo give this sandwich a miss.

M&S Bankside is a great place to shop

M&S Bankside is a great place to shop. It’s clean and bright, and the fruit and vegetables are always of very good quality. All the food products are very appetising, delicious, and affordable. I was delighted to see Miru Mariya, Ariful, Saad, James, Malik, Rodica, Sapphire, John and Chris. All of the colleagues and managers at Bankside including Cherry Ann, Amba, Anna (one of our managers), Belinda, Debbie, Frances, Karolina, Lucy, Mary Ann, Mary, Michelle, Mily, Miru Mariya, Mohsana, Naisma, Nasteho (“Nas”), Nicki, Pamela, Rodica (our lovely store manager!), Samantha (“Sam”), Sapphire, Salema, Tanvi, Tina and Abdullah, Akbar, Alex, Andre, Ariful, Chika, Chris, Dauda and Jahmaine (both very helpful managers), James, Jed, John, Jordan (who is also a great manager), Joseph, Juma, Malik, Marshal, Milan, Mohammad, Paul, Roberto, Saad, Tahsin and Toufiqul (“Toufi”) have excellent customer service and interpersonal skills. Their friendly, cheerful, and helpful natures make shopping a happy experience for me and, without a doubt, build customer loyalty for M&S. All shoppers need to do is ask for help, and colleagues will do everything they can to be of assistance. There is also a terminal for click and collect orders for customers to input their details to either collect or return orders. The team will very quickly get your order from the storeroom, always with a smile, which is a great service for their customers! Our refurbished store now has a larger bakery and coffee bar and we also have a sushi bar which offers great selections for lunch! All the team take turns working at the checkout and they are very efficient and knowledgeable and always willing to help customers scan and bag their shopping if they need assistance. I must mention the excellent staff who work at the checkout section and who give truly amazing service Chris, Lucy, Miru Mariya, Mary, Mary Ann, Belinda, Debbie, Amba, Mily, Karolina, Frances, Tanvi, Tina, Salema, Pamela, John, Jordan, Joseph, Roberto, Saad, Abdullah and Toufi! I was very happy to see Chris working at the checkout. He is such a lovely person with a wonderful smile and he is very kind and helpful. He always quickly helps customers if they have any difficulty and also takes all baskets and returns them to the stand which customers truly appreciate! I
am truly grateful for all they do to support our community throughout the year. I truly hope that they will receive a bonus in recognition of their hard work and dedication.

Not interested in their supply of duff…

I bought some flowers a couple of weeks ago. Peonies. They failed to open despite me treating them very nicely! I gave up after 10 days, as the heads were falling off. I contacted m and s to complain. They asked for a receipt which I didn’t have after 2 weeks, or the packaging, which they also requested. Seriously. They refused to be of any help.

I appreciate there are lots of peonies around at the moment, and it’s difficult to be sure I’m genuine, I guess I could have got them elsewhere, but I didn’t and given I spend around £50 a week with them I’m less than impressed. For the sake of a £6 refund, they’ve made me really annoyed that I bother with them.

The Sparks Card is a con!

Did a monthly shop and wife loaded up her offers onto the Sparks Card. At checkout she qualified for £5 off of a purchase of £25 spent on Rosé but the ‘System’ decided to amortise a previously earned £1 cash credit across all the items in the basket meaning that she did not get the £5. Store claimed they could do nothing even though they agreed she should have got the £5, they advised to speak to Customer Services. She phoned them and the person who she spoke to was very dismissive and kept saying that’s the way the Sparks Card works, after 30 mins of back and forth they eventually agreed to send a £5 credit voucher! No apologies no contrition just an attitude that means we will no longer shop there.

Visited the Lingerie dept earlier this morning to get info on bras that are low sided. The assistant I spoke to was most helpful and left what she was doing and showed me several types that would be more suitable for me. I find that they do a great job and sometimes they are under a lot of pressure with customers wanting to get served straight away. Well done girls in Romford!

Just terrible user experience

I wish I'd seen the reviews of how bad M&S is! Ordered 3 black t-shirts and paid extra for next day delivery as my son needed them for his part time job, they use Evri who are terrible! Nothing arrived, just an email 2 days later from M&S saying they have warehouse and courier problems! No update when they will be delivered. Totally useless!

Bought corner unit sofas from m n s

Bought corner unit sofas from m n s. First set stank of mould. They replaced them without even coming out to see them. However I had to wait 3 months for their replacement! Keeping stinking furniture in my home while I waited. After new set had been with us 4 months we noticed one of the seating areas had sunk dramatically. They sent out an independent inspector who reported it was down to wear. Really after 4 months?! Their customer service were seemingly hostile and really couldn’t care less. Not the marks and Spencer I’ve known prior. Now over 18 months on. We e had to buy boards to put under the cushions as the underneath is just sinking. I spent around £3000 on this rubbish and urge anyone looking to buy sofas from marks and Spencer to seriously NOT. Since this has happened to me I’ve found various people reviewing the same problems. Marks and Spencer should be ashamed.

I ordered two pairs of trousers on May 21st, and once they arrived at a pickup point in Romania, nobody contacted me. On June 19th, the order was returned to Marks & Spencer. It is now July 5th, and I still haven't received my refund.

M&S cancelled order only part-refund

This is an absolutely appalling retailer. I immediately cancelled an online order for 4 items as i realised i was to be away on the day of delivery. I then only received a part-refund due to a system error on the M&S side. I am still owed £38.50 and have been chasing this via the customer services south africa call-centre for the past 8 days. I am no further forward to a resolution and am repeatedly advised they will refer to the 'finance team'. I've had to escalate this again today and was connected to the M&S retail office at Chester. I was again informed they will again refer to the 'finance team'. My total call time is around 3 hrs at considerable cost as the contact centre is on 0333 number. I've read about others not receiving full refunds on returned items but this was an order that was not even packed for delivery. This ongoing refund issue has conveyed a complete distrust in M&S for their incredible disregard to an acceptable customer service response.

Ordered 5 days ago

Ordered 5 days ago, the item is in stock and has still not been shipped. Contacted Customer Service, or should I say NO CUSTOMER SERVICE. The representative was not interested at all in what I was saying. I will no longer be shopping with Marks & Spencer again. Just heard from Marks & Spencer order delayed. What did I expect from Marks & Spencer and Evri says it all, every time.

This is a message for M&S managers not…

This is a message for M&S managers not about M&S but about their sometime delivery partners Evri. There is nowhere on their website for this and I may not be the only person with this comment to make. Please please please M&S dont use Evri. They are consistently late or delayed, they leave parcels anywhere including the stairwells of communal buildings and are generally unreliable. If I was offered a 'free' Evri delivery or another carrier for a cost,I would rather pay for a reliable carrier. You are the third compsny I have purchased from this month who use Evri and this is the third parcel that has yet to arrive.Hopefully this one is just late but the other two have disappeared, one was damaged and returned before it got to me and the other one was delivered but where to,I will probably never know !

Customer service has seriously declined…

Customer service has seriously declined in M&S foodhall and over the phone and by email. No response to emails, no fulfillment of promises made over the phone and in store staff who show impatience and annoyance with your request.

M&S in London Colney

M&S in London Colney. 1st experience of shopping for a suit for my disabled husband after a stroke. Changing rooms, no sign to say disabled cubicle so tried to get the wheelchair into a cubicle with no luck. Person working there ignored us & didn’t mention there was a disabled cubicle. I noticed one with a curtain so waited till it was free. Only once we were in there did I realise it was a fully accessible changing cubicle. Except there were two large yellow containers in the way that I had to move.
Not well stocked either for a large store. The sizes on the hangers didn’t correspond to the actual size of the garment either. When paying, the assistant rolled up the shirt, no attempt at folding it & squeezed the suit into a paper bag, no suit carrier? When paying a fair bit for a suit you expect more than a paper bag. At least in Next you get given the option & they charge £3 for the suit carrier. It all used to be free. Customer service in M&S has certainly changed. One thing about M&S was high standards that their staff had to meet & good training. Guess that’s changed as well. Turned out to be a stressful experience.

disappointed this time shopping at my local M & S food…

I love shopping at my local M & S food store in Swindon and don't usually have any negative comments but today I made a mistake in buying reduced potato salad which was very disappointing. I didn't see it had MINT and chives not like my usual choice plus it felt like reconstituted potato pieces as it was little cubes of 'something' nothing like the proper potato salad. I will not make this mistake again.

Very disappointed with M&S Inverness Clothing

Very disappointed with M&S Inverness.
Very few dresses with sleeves or midi-length, all the trousers are either, barrel leg, carrot leg, cropped palazzo or other ugly baggy designs.
Bearing in mind that the average age in the store looked to be over 60, I fail to understand why the buyers don’t look at the demographic and choose styles accordingly.
Women of a certain age do not want Sleeveless tops and certainly don’t want to look a size or two larger in baggy trousers.
