Nice comfortable firm mattress and the delivery driver was very courteous

This was a mattress exchange via the North Walsham store. They were very helpful and efficient and speedy in arranging the delivery. The arrival time window was given the evening before and updated on the morning it was due. This gave me time to travel to my son's house and be there in time for the delivery. It was a one man delivery but when Neil realised I was on my own he offered to unpack the new mattress and helped me get it upstairs and unroll it onto the bed so that it would have time to breathe before my son returned home at the end of the day and it was ready for him to sleep. I couldn't be more grateful

Great customer service staff, I am writing this review to highlight a massive divide between the office customer service team and the rest of this company's operations.I originally ordered a mattress which arrived defective with major indents. The customer service team was helpful and quickly arranged a collection and replacement. However, that is where the efficiency ended.The replacement arrived late. While one of the delivery drivers was absolutely lovely, the other driver was rude, unfriendly, and actively chose not to speak English to his colleague while in my home, which felt very uncomfortable.To make matters worse, they had delivered a completely different, cheaper mattress model. When I called to sort this out, I was promised a correct replacement for the following day, only to be called back later and told the item was actually out of stock.Thankfully, the customer service team stepped back in, apologized, and have authorized a full refund upon collection.The individual customer service staff who sorted out the mess deserve praise for their helpfulness. However, Mattressman's stock management, delivery driver standards, and dispatch accuracy are a complete shambles. I will not be using them again.

Fantastic. Delivered on time and very friendly staff

Quick delivery as my order was in stock Karl & Antony delivered my very heavy boxed king sized mattress to my chosen room with a smile and can-do attitude. The address is difficult access with lots of stairs and no parking in the road. But nothing was a problem. The mattress is comfortable and extremely well made.

Bed frame collapsed after 3 months — poor build quality, severe safety risk

We bought the Birlea Berwick 5' King Size Oak Wooden Bed, delivered end of April 2025. In mid-August, after roughly three and a half months of normal use, the frame completely collapsed at the bottom right-hand fixing simply from sitting down on it. There had been no misuse, no extra weight, nothing out of the ordinary - just normal daily use. Our cat was underneath the bed at the time and narrowly avoided being crushed.

For a solid oak-framed bed, this kind of structural failure after such a short time points to poor build quality at that fixing point, not wear and tear. We've had to sleep on the sofa since, and have now ordered a replacement bed as we can't be without one.

I contacted Mattressman to request a full refund given the severity of the fault and the safety risk involved, and I'm currently awaiting their response. I'll update this review once the matter is resolved.

Very helpful salesperson, easy to lipread and dealt with me with patience.
Quick delivery and men were kind enough to help with carrying the mattress upstairs due to limited mobility.
Mattress is very firm yet light which is pretty helpful when making the bed.

The delivery service by Brandon and Adam this morning was most excellent. They were both on time, on the ball with the old mattress out and the new one in very quick. They obviously enjoy what they do with a smile and happy banter whilst they worked.

This is the second time I have purchased a mattress from here. The whole experience was effortless and quick. Keith the delivery driver was friendly and updated me with delivery time when he was closer. He couldn’t have been more helpful!
