I have mixed feelings with these guys
I have mixed feelings with these guys. I moved my account from creeperhost over to Multiplay and had a server running Farm Sim. A few weeks in, everything is going smooth, then we realized we can't connect to the server. A number of people at this point had invested >50 hours into the server. I log in, the server is 'up' in a vanilla state, without the mods or settings. So I submit a ticket and after a few days of back and forth (of which I was asked if I had a backup, which I didn't), it's revealed that the server was moved to a different location, and there are no backups from the old server. At that point everyone I was hosting the server quit and didn't want to invest the time into it again.
Support did try to help after the fact, I was given a free month as it was unplayable, but the damage was done. The price was great, and I would likely have been with them still except for them losing everything we had.

My experience is ok
My experience is ok. Great support. Servers run ok. But my biggest concern. Is I run a cluster of 4 maps for ark. I spend a lot of money monthly to keep it running. And I don't like how you only get a discount. If you buy a server for an extended period of time. I run 4 servers. Why not give me a discount for continuing to choose your services ? Thanks

New to running a Game Server
I have recently began a Rust Server, which is my first venture into running a game server, and it has been an excellent experience. Multiplay's system makes it so easy to get up and running. Also their support staff are amazing! Couldn't be more helpful! Also have great rates on the server rental! Couldn't recommend the company higher!

ECO server problems implemented with clanforge.
I have dealt with Multiplay many times over the years, first getting to know them through the i-series LANs starting with i5 and rented servers on and off many times.
Clanforge does seem to be a good admin platform, but with the ECO server settings it causes problems as many setting can not be adjusted without FTP access. Resizing new worlds is impossible as well as using the Skillpoint gain on craft/actions, which to me is a crucial part of the game and the way the game should progress so you don't have to log on every 12 hours and feed, just to wait a few days to be able to progress.
Creating a new world on my own PC to upload was one suggestions so I did this and had support ask me for the website link/forum post for it. WTH it is a world upload not a mod, I don't think some of the support read what the problem is or what the upload is.
I have sent the bug report to the developers to get them to change things to let this work in the future, but who knows when that will happen.
Hopefully Clanforge will allow FTP access to these sort of games so I can change settings in other aspects of the game rather than just the configs. Also being able to upload your own world with out it resetting to default and being able to create your own world and enable the major settings the world creating asks for rather than using a default world with default settings (bad default settings) is a must. Hopefully Multiplay can correct this as I do prefer to use their services and most of the support I received was outstanding and I could tell they were trying to find a solution.

Awful Eco server administration, BUT very good support response times
I rented an Eco server. If you only want to play on default settings this hoster is very good, the setup process did everything to get a standard server for 2-4 people with a worldsize of 72x72 running.
But here comes the issue now:
I wanted to create a server with a size of 200x200.
I set the WorldGenerator.eco parameters in the profile, deleted the current world (the 72x72 one) and started the server. Instead of the server generating the new 200x200 world as is default behaviour in this case, the 72x72 I just deleted was again place in the folder.
I now had to generate the 200x200 world on my machine and had to upload that to the hoster. Since I don't have an ftp-access I used the administration panel. What I really disliked here is that I had to wait for approval of my upload before I could start the server again. Approval took 21 minutes which is a very fast support response time, I still disliked this part.
The 200x200 did run smoothly now, BUT here's the kicker: If I want to change the standard skillgain values my changes are not applied. I have experience with changing those values from running a server on my local machine, but every config change I did was not applied with the server restarts.
This is ultimately the reason I canceled my server, the reply to my refund wish was super fast, so I have so give huge props to the support team.
TL,DR: Support team is very good, but at the moment I wouldn't recommend this hoster to anyone looking for an Eco server with nonstandard settings.

Awful never dealt with such a poor host, opened a ticket every single day for different problem, yes the support is 5* but the control panel and connection is just sickening and not to mention they don't even have FTP access and my server with them has started to pickup users but now i'm going to need to cancel the account as they are that useless so i will have to start again from scratch, but hey if your all about good servers join.. gameservers.com not had a problem since i joined

Cheap, great and just excellent!
They're both cheap (I pay 15£/year) and have perfect uptime! And even no restrictions on my Teamspeak 3 server what so ever!
Haven't had a single problem with them as well :)

A complete loss of data
This is the third or fourth server I've made with Multiplay. In the past, I have been incredibly happy and satisfied with the quality of the servers.
However, when my entire Minecraft server was essentially wiped, and the world file corrupted, fairly unimpressed. Because the servers backups had been wiped, there was no way to go back to an earlier file to avoid the corruption.
I reported the issue 14 days before I actually finally got a conclusive answer that my server being wiped, was probably what happened. I didn't always have time to message back straight away, but I went back and forth 13 times before I was even told this might be what happened. I had to keep re-explaining the issue since for almost every ticket different support people answered it, and hadn't read the previous. Additionally, one of the support staff wasn't even aware that Clanforge did auto-backups for the worlds.
Being told that the data was completely unrecoverable, and that there were no backups of the data on Clanforges side because it would increase costs, was quite the shock. This is so far from industry standard. Was unimpressed with how blase the support staff handled this.
With absolutely no way to get back the world that had thousands of hours, months of progress, and the fact that other people had paid for the server too, I'm incredibly unimpressed.
