Review summary

Created with AI, based on recent reviews

Evaluating 108 reviews, most reviewers were let down by their experience overall. Consumers frequently complained about overpriced games and aging consoles, feeling that the business has become overly greedy. Many people also experienced extremely frustrating issues with unhelpful customer support representatives, poor product durability, and poorly functioning online digital stores. Some people were satisfied with the core entertainment value and fun gameplay, despite the very steep costs of official hardware accessories. A few reviewers remain huge loyal fans who love the nostalgic titles and classic hardware, finding genuine joy in using their favorite portable gaming devices.

I like NINTENDO.

"Quote".: (Direct Shipping): Official support states that there is no delivery on Saturdays or Sundays. This is usually true for the USA, but even in Germany, Saturday delivery by Nintendo itself is unlikely.

Amazon & other retailers:

Standard Shipping: Often only weekday delivery, but the shipment can be dispatched on Friday and arrive on Saturday.

Express/Premium Shipping: Sometimes there are options for Saturday delivery, but this must be explicitly selected and costs extra (e.g., with Amazon Prime and its specific service).

DHL: DHL delivers on Saturdays as standard, but the online shop must choose the shipping provider accordingly and offer the option.

Conclusion: If you want fast delivery, carefully check the retailer's shipping options; Saturday delivery is possible if the retailer offers express shipping or if standard delivery is dispatched on Friday, but it is not guaranteed. | Well, I ordered on Tuesday evening, with two packages, each significantly exceeding the €80 and €500 values. "Free instant delivery" within 1 to 2 days is advertised. The tracking code isn't working. It's now Sunday. No confirmation email for anything, except that the package couldn't leave the shipping depot, and even that was only on the website... The prices for the games, most of which are digital-only, are ridiculously low compared to reputable Amazon sellers, and they're not even physical copies. I compared it to importing a Switch 2 controller from England on Amazon, which was supposed to take at least four weeks for shipping... it arrived in just under three weeks. And that wasn't even express shipping. The Switch 2 is supposed to be "shipped" directly from a depot in Hamburg to Munich in 1-2 days?! Maybe slightly Cringe. And of course, the thing doesn't have an OLED display, so the scam can really pay off. It's bad enough that the console is, to put it mildly, technically lagging behind for more than half a decade, outdated or even worse than current standards. But hey, there's a silver lining, at least. The key fob that was supposed to be included free with the purchase of 500 platinum coins... It's already arrived. Now I have a fob that's not worth €3, but at least I don't have a €470 console. The fob, by the way, came from Berlin. That's about the same distance: six and a half hours by ICE train from Munich's main/Central Station. Miracles do happen... A slight wince of vicarious embarrassment, not to say miserably incompetent. That should be the company's guiding principle. Those who are greedy and don't deliver should be eliminated. :)

My special-needs son purchased some…

My special-needs son purchased some games on his sister’s profile by accident and Nintendo refused to switch them to his profile because it had been over seven days. Now I shouldn’t have trouble switching a game from one profile to another without having to purchase it again the fact that they want us to purchase the game again proves that they are greedy and do not care about their customers if I were y’all and I was going to purchase a Nintendo game do not purchase a digital download. It’s a big racket and all they want is the money

A huge disappointment!

Very disappointed in Nintendo! I purchased a Nintendo Switch from their website .The status is saying pending they took the money and still hasn’t been dispatched and I have requested a refund which I still have not received a refund for. I’m very appalled by Nintendo considering it’s a big company! Nintendo, you need to do better! If you are looking to buy something from Nintendo, make sure you go to Argos or Smith’s toy store or something like that. Do NOT go through the Nintendo website.

They Take Your Money And Give You Nothing!

Ordered over 100$ of products from their website. Paid for fast shipping. Items have never been delivered to my house. I contacted them about this was told they would look into it. Waited a few days heard nothing back...contacted them again and was treated very rudely and with no respect. I am under no obligation to wait another second let alone another week or two. They took my money and gave me no product! Avoid this company they are a scam. I will never give another dime of my money to this company.

I will be contacting my bank and reporting this as fraud. Nintendo thinks they can take your money and give you no product! WRONG!

Avoid

I bought a Nintendo Switch, which was great, but Nintendo appear to have blocked both my cards and my PayPal account so I can't buy games via the online shop. I have checked with my bank and they are not blocked at their end and there are funds in the account. I emailed Nintendo for support but they haven't replied.

Very poor service

I paid for annual subscription last year, fairly sure I had turned off auto renew as I had the renewal date marked in my calendar for the day before renewal, I prefer to do these manually. I then get a thank you for your payment notice 2 days before renewal date, no advance warning. I contacted Nintendo straight away, sorry we don’t do refunds…
Fortunately credit card will refund.
I will not consider renewing in the future.

After buying a switch second hand I was surprised to know of the lack of real help that the company provides the console. I mean it runs games overall poorly. And on top of that the games are sooooo expensive. Plus all the effort they are putting into getting rid of emulators is embarrassing I mean that's what my husband told me. But very little value for money for me.

Nintendo gift card

You cannot buy a Nintendo gift card and use it to buy a physical game. And when you plead with customers services and wait 2 weeks for a final reply (after much back and forth) to please help as it is on a 7 year olds Christmas list and he won’t have it to open, they won’t help. Who knew you can’t use a gift voucher to buy from Nintendo…

I'm honestly fed up with nintendo at this point. My Joy-cons keep failing; the magnet doesn't work properly, the controls glitch out, and it ruins the gaming experience. And instead of fixing a well known issue, they drag you through a slow overpriced repair process liek it's somehow my fault. Then there's the game store. The prices for some games are absurd! Titles that cost half as much on other platforms magically double in price on nintendo store. It feels like you're paying extra just for being on nintedno system.
From love to hate in 1 step. F you nintendo!
