Numberbarn closed my account without warning, deleted everything, and took my money. I had paid for my service and had receipts, but they shut it down just because I didn’t respond to an email within one business day. No explanation, no support, just gone.
If you rely on your number for important things, do NOT trust this company. They have no phone support, no real customer service, and no accountability. If I had parked my number elsewhere, it would have been safe. Instead, they took my money and left me with nothing. Avoid at all costs!

Full and complete service and product information available on their website. Good communication and support once a subscription was purchased. Simple, straightforward process to port my existing phone number. Calling plan option is fair and reasonable value. As a subscriber I have found the product features to function as described and published in the company web pages. Easy to recommend NumberBarn as a wireline service.

I was Numberbarn for almost 10 years. At that time, it was the only company that allowed me to park my phone # while I spent my winters in Mexico. This Christmas, I decided to try the competition, a European company that offered call transfers anywhere in the world. Although their system works, their app sucks big time. So after 2 months, I came back to NumberBarn and believe me, I am glad to be back. The Numberbarn app is solid. It permits me to forward all calls to voicemail or to any phone # in the continental US and Canada(+1 country code). It then forwards your messages, SMS or voicemail to your email address, so you never miss a call. You can also use the app to send SMS text or calls to anyone in the US.
You can block phone #'s so no more solicitation calls. 🙂

My experience with Number Barn has been very frustrating. I've been patient up to this point since the service is cost-effective.
The service is buggy, and the support team has ignored multiple requests. The latest issue is that SMS/text messages randomly stopped working for one of my phone numbers.
I've submitted multiple help tickets through their support portal, and they've marked my ticket as solved without resolving the issue. Why is my help ticket "solved" if you haven't fixed the bug on my account?
If my account works properly for text messages again, I'd happily update this review to a better score.

Despite resistance from my phone provider, NumberBarn persevered and got the port done for me. For anyone hanging on to an old landline, this service is the way to go when you are ready to cut the cord.

A good place to get a new number and park it if needed while making arrangements to transfer to your carrier. We were very satisfied with two number purchases and transfers.

I really liked them until they emailed me about this new law that was going into effect Feb. 1st, 2025. They sent me an email to got the their sister company String. The instructions how to do that was not very helpful. After the port was denied because they made it sound like it was a transfer and not a port, I didn't have the right acct. # or pin. I googled the right way to do it and was able to. But in the meantime, their "sister company" String wasn't able to register my business, was more expensive for only able to give me a calling feature. I reached out to number barn and they said it is out of their hands the process is already done. The other company doesn't have a phone number to contact them. You can't log into as account. So now I probably will lose the number I paid for on numberbarn and have to get a new number and have to redo all my advertising stuff. All because of this law that was supposidly to control political messaging, which now that I think of it I can't believe I believed that since why would the government make a law to stop something they do. Makes no sense. Plus I still get tons of political messages. So, it stopped my business but didn't stop the political messages. Do yourself a favor, stay away from these places. I will just go back to a legit place.

I appreciate that they I was able to reinstate my number when my credit card didn't go through when I was on vacation in europe. This is really important as I have all of my marketing for my property management company Tenant Doors, LLC as 888-8TENANT. tenantdoors . com and not only my marketing but my tenants owners and vendors would have a hard time contacting me, Thanks a million!

We had number barn for a few years with a toll free number forwarding to our other lines. We used it for business as they advertise it as an economical solution for businesses. Our toll free number went down and we only realized after a few days had gone by (we also have a few local numbers and didn't immediately see the error). We reached out to support which took DAYS to respond only to tell us they didn't know and would look into it. Days following that they sent an email to say that yes, it wasn't working and they would fix it. Considering this is for business the support response is abysmal. Had to do a work around and search through the call logs online and retrace our steps to save the inquiries. We also had frequent billing issues where multiple payments were taken. Not reliable, immediately ported our line out.

The quality of their service is outstanding. I have been a customer since January 2022, following my relocation abroad. I consistently received calls on my alternate number and encountered no problems with SMS delivery. In summary, I have experienced no difficulties with their service. I will certainly utilize their services again when I need to maintain my number. There is no question about that. I appreciate NumberBarn for their exceptional support.

Despite glitchy service sometimes (and some people not being able to get messages through to me) number barn was easy and affordable. I'm glad I got to keep my number and (mostly) continue to text with people who just don't use web based texting. Customer service were always quick and helpful as well. I suspect most of my issues weren't specific to numberbarn, rather just this type of service. I'm back stateside and waiting for my number to port out. Thankfully they have a page that tells you all the information you need to give to the carrier- that's super helpful.

they added a number to my account on 1/7/25 that i never requested or authorized and charged my card on file.
i deleted that number but i was still charged
opened a ticket but not response
they have no way to communicate customer service issue except by ticket which in my experience they do not respond to...just a black hole
i have no way to resolve other than cancel my account
1/9/2025 - they did respond but offered no solution. said my error even though I had not logged into my account for months and they could look thru their logs and confirm but they choose not to. i closed my account with them 1/9/2025...

I read some of the 5-star reviews about Number Barn before I started but honestly I am having the same experience as Rose and a few other lesser star reviews.

Number Barn asks EVERYTIME! to create a ticket, I've created at least 3-tickets for support. I have received 2- email responses but it never gives me a way to reconnect with support. I have to create another ticket and the cycle continues.
A phone number company has NO PHONE NUMBER! Go figure? That is quite ironic. I am not satisfied with their service so far.. I am still waiting with bated breath, haha.

My husband and I transferred our mobile numbers to NumberBarn through their Number Parking service while we are in New Zealand for 6 months. We wanted to safely store our phone numbers for when we return, but we didn't want to pay our usual phone bill, so this was the perfect solution for us.
Monica was an absolute pleasure to work with. From the get-go, she was professional, friendly, and thorough in her service. I also appreciated that she felt "human" to email with... If that makes sense...
We experienced some hiccups along the road (did not realize our numbers were scheduled to transfer to NumberBarn earlier than we wanted), and Monica was super helpful with whatever came along. During the stressful, time-sensitive moments, especially when my personal phone company was a disaster to work with, Monica was extremely refreshing to work with and was on it the whole time.
We're in New Zealand now. It's comforting to know that our numbers are safe with NumberBarn, and that when we return, we can feel confident that we'll have great customer support as we transition our numbers back to normal service.
