The acomodation was not great, the room was not very clean and had a sweaty smell for the duration of our stay. On our last day, we had to vacate our room by 11:00 and were told we could use a spare room to have a shower, but when we got to the room there was no hot water, they tried to tell us that this was not their fault, it had been cloudy that day.

The service at on the beach is perfect and professional the members of staff are amazing my customer agent caitlin was so professional a credit to your company many thanks

why would it cost more to sit next to the person you booked the flight with? ??????????

Relatively straight forward.
We were booking the same hotel that we went to in July 26

Everything was so easy to book

Horrendous experience. Want to ask a simple question about my booking and impossible to speak to a human being.

Never again. And will be expressing this on various online platforms also.

It was easy but I messed it up now I have to pay for a bag

Due to go on holiday next week with the family, and due to safety reason for my family we have had to change our surname.
We have been in contact with on the beach and they have straight up told us that they will have to cancel our holiday and re-book the same rooms but now at the cost of over 2x the price we have already paid for our holiday.

To put it into context they are charging me just shy off £6000 just to change our surname on the booking, again we have already paid nearly £3000 that my and my wife have work are socks of to pay to then be told this.
So not only are we losing all that money and holiday we have just has to sit down and tell out kids we are no longer able to go on holiday next week.

We even rung directly through to the hotel and theh have no issue with changing our names for free but because we booked through on the beach they have to put the request through.

Absolute greed at its finest from you lot when the hotel are happy to do it for free your have decided to come up
With this ridiculous out come and now we have lost our family holiday for your utter greed.

Never ever use this company!

This holiday was so easy to organise for us all looking forward for a great time.

This was a well earned family holiday to Crete, somewhere we had never been but it was fabulous, the hotel, the resort, the people, the food & the sea were all 5star!
Our hotel was a small family run place but was absolutely out of this world, the attention to detail was wonderful!
The staff were so attentive and friendly, from Debbie the manager to Vanessa and the kitchen staff but a special mention must go to Marko who was so friendly and helpful nothing was to much trouble, giving suggestions and advice, arranging taxis and he was very knowledgeable, telling us all about the island and it’s wonderful and amazing history!
The breakfast at this hotel was also well arranged and the food was fabulous something to suit everyone and plenty of it!
I would recommend Aqua City water park to anyone visiting the area we had a full day there and had a wonderful experience
All in all I would certainly recommend this place, the hotel is called Aqua Blu and it’s near Annisarras which is north of the island

I regularly book through On The Beach. Good value and simple to book.

Booked last week been trying to amend or speak to somebody since Friday. Now trying to cancel and go direct as on the the beach customer service non existing. Had an email back last night saying the issue was resolved so the matter was closed, certainly isn’t not by a long stretch. Impossible to speak to a human, live chat that’s a joke it’s an automated poor quality AI that is no help whatsoever.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS

I always have a great holiday with On the beach . Hotel , Resort and food was all excellent

So easy to book and always inexplicably cheaper than the same package deal with other companies

Great place . Dissapointed that we were not told about paying tax on landing. As pensioners surely you had a duty of care

Fantastic communications with on the beach, regarding flights, gate numbers, airport transfers and every element of the holiday! Excellent service, giving us a stressful free holiday!!! Totally amazing!!!

The hotel was completely different from its description on On the Beach. It is not worth the money and certainly does not deserve 5 stars — 3 stars at most. We had problems throughout our stay: the safe could not be used, the bathroom tap was loose and moved while in use, furniture was damaged and badly worn, and the balcony sliding doors would not close properly. Instead of the promised single beds for the children, we were given hard, uncomfortable sofa beds. The staff were unhelpful and kept promising to fix the problems until the end of our stay. The food was also cold. I strongly recommend avoiding this hotel.

Very disappointing – definitely not 4 star

We stayed at the Anastasia Beach Hotel as a group of 10, with 4 of us in the hotel and 6 staying in the apartments, including children. Unfortunately, overall the experience was extremely disappointing and nowhere near the standard we expected from a 4-star hotel.

On arrival, our apartment was disgusting. The bedding was stained and clearly hadn’t been properly cleaned after the previous occupants, and there were half-eaten packets of crisps left behind. The rooms themselves are very basic and, although they have potential, they desperately need attention and a thorough refurbishment.

The housekeeping was one of the biggest disappointments. Our beds were not changed once during our two-week stay. We had to ask for clean towels four separate times, and the rooms and bathrooms were not properly cleaned. Floors weren’t swept either. On one occasion, maids were seen sitting in a room on their phones and smoking cigarettes, which was particularly disappointing when the standard of cleaning was already so poor.

The pool area was also extremely unclean. The pool itself left you feeling dirty after using it, and the area around the slides was particularly filthy. Overall, the hotel and pool areas desperately needed a deep clean. We also saw both staff and lifeguards smoking around the hotel, which wasn’t pleasant, particularly around the pool and children.

The entertainment was very basic. Staff didn’t really encourage guests to get involved, the pool atmosphere was often boring, and the music was very hit and miss. When music was played, the same songs seemed to be repeated constantly — including Christmas songs during our summer holiday! The evening mini disco and shows were also very disappointing, especially when travelling with children.

The food was nice enough, but there was very little variety. It seemed to be the same pork, chicken and beef every day, just prepared in different sauces. After two weeks, this became very repetitive.

Unfortunately, the dining room staff were another let-down. Apart from Sashka, who was lovely, most staff barely spoke to us, appeared unhappy and often made it feel as though serving guests was an effort. The pool bar staff also looked miserable most of the time.

There were, however, some positives. The reception staff were fantastic throughout our stay — helpful, friendly and always willing to assist when we had problems. There was also one gentleman working in the inside bar on most evenings who was brilliant and always provided excellent service.

What was most disappointing was the apparent lack of oversight from management. We raised issues and expected a hotel of this size and supposed standard to have much better supervision and cleanliness.

Overall, we feel this hotel is nowhere near a 4-star standard. The property itself has potential, and with proper investment, management oversight, cleaning standards, staff training and better entertainment, it could be a much better hotel. Unfortunately, based on our two-week stay, we would not return and could not recommend it as a 4-star experience.
