Great chairs and great service.

Very grateful to Outwell for full refund on my tent (as was out of warranty).

I have become quite a fan of Outwell products over the past few years, lightweight driveaway awning, sleeping mat and now the Vanbox, cooler bag. This is however the first time that I have ordered directly and was very pleased with the ease of ordering through their site and introductory free shipping. The product arrived within a week from Denmark, was well packaged and arrived in excellent condition. The cooler box fits well between the seats in our camper, is easily accessible and is easily transportable. We are currently using this product for the first time, on our first camping trip of the season, so time will tell re durability, but based on experience with past products I have no doubt that it will perform well.

Easy Transaction, Great Service

I bought the Escalon 5 tent a couple of years ago and only used it for 4 short camping trips. It was a budget Outwell bought from go outdoors but what a load of rubbish. The first one I bought the zip broke and this was swiftly sorted by Go Outdoors replacing for a new one. The new one was fine for the first few trips as it didn't rain. I am currently sat in this tent or sive might be a better word for the Easter Holiday. Everything was soaked through last night so this is not a pleasurable experience. I had a cheap Coleman tent and it was 10 times better not leaking at all as are my OEX tents. I always wanted an Outwell as they used to be a cut above and a little out of my price range in my teens but this range are terrible. I can see an old school one from where I am sat and looks like it has 30 years left in it. I hate it when quality brands sell out like this. Either charge a premium and be a trustworthy quality brand or place yourself as a budget brand and compete in that marketplace. The issue is that I no longer trust this brand and won't buy another and I imagine the higher price items are still like they used to be.

They don't tell you but items are dispatched from Denmark, and it takes at least a week for them to even leave Denmark. There is nothing made clear during the order process online that you should allow extra time for the order to arrive. It's a .com website and nothing to suggest a foreign service unless you go looking for it. Also, their FAQs pages are literally non-existent - all the links from their UK customer service webpage redirect to their homepage.
I ordered a stove a week in advance of a camping trip and on the day of departure it is still in Denmark. Bloody useless. Do they somehow think that if they hide this critical information that you simply won't notice it takes weeks for your order to turn up?! Pointlessly misleading, and destroys any and all trust in the company. I can't even complain directly because there is no contact us page on their website (redirects to homepage).
Finally, I opted out of marketing emails and they STILL send it to me. What do they think, that by ramming adverts down my throat that I don't want, and tricking me into making purchases that I can't use, that I'll want to buy from them again?!?

I wanted to buy a second tent. But Outwell refused to answer my questions. I tried to contact them for 6 weeks! No answer.

I love Outwell gear for camping. It's incredible quality. This purchase was fab, vv happy.

Dreadful customer service, boght a privacy room , new model which doesn’t fit as stated so asked for better pitching instructions in case we were doing it incorrectly and also told them what the issues are .( I have looked at the only decent video on YouTube in German and still non the wiser ) Reply was to contact where we bought from and that’s it … which I have done who referred us to Outwell . Now stuck with an awning that we can’t use as shown ,and getting no where
Supplier we bought from will take back but with a restocking fee of 25%….very expensive mistake and won’t buy from again

Contacted customer service who suggested I fix it myself and offered 20% refund

This refund never appeared and despite chasing several times - no response

Now asking for it to be replaced rather than accepting the discount
